I heard about this a week or so ago but I couldn't decide if it was thread-worthy. It really is a sad loss.

I rarely go to the theatre, mostly because it's too expensive and I don't want to pay $8.50+ for a movie that is mediocre. I liked Black Swan and Shutter Island the most and I'm really looking forward to On the Road in 2011.

I really see no problem with how the voting has been implemented. It's similar to ballot initiatives in states like California. All you need to put an initiative on the ballot for the people to vote on is to get one million signatures on a petition from registered voters. Then, during the next election (either presidential or mid-term) the people vote yes or no on the initiative. The yes/no/don't care voting stage we are in now shows that the players want this and I think it's great that Jagex decided to let their players make the decision. No one is closer to their game than the players are.

I got 85 Dungeoneering one day before the new year. Now I'm going to camp frosties to fund 95 Prayer and 96 Summoning. I'd like to break the top 100 in Smithing too, although that is a pretty lofty goal. Maybe I'll save it for 2012.

Glad this went to a "referendum" instead of some ambiguous petition. I have no doubt this will get passed.

Discriminatory policies are like that. They tend to work for most and not for some. Tell me how this is going to negatively affect anyone aside from the homophobic military members, please. And wouldn't you think that it would be better for the same homophobic soldiers to actually know who is gay? Wouldn't that make them feel safer knowing who they should avoid in the shower? Or is the real issue here that there is some sort of underlying hatred for gays among military members? It seems like the people who aren't on the front lines might have a better perspective on this than the soldiers that have had homophobia driven into them by their superiors that support DADT. Again if you read the results of the survey, over half of front line troops, especially marines, predicted problems arising from this. If you want to believe their all homophobes go for it, but the reality is they have to deal with more and more stupid PC nonsense every day, they'd rather just not think about it and get on with a difficult job. Good for them. Let them predict all they want, but it's not going to change anything. And this is not "PC nonsense", this is blatant discrimination. "All men are created equal." Yeah, except for gays in the military. We don't want them. Just like we didn't want blacks or women either. How can a military upholding the constitution and statements such as "all men are created equal" not allow "all men" to protect the country they live in. The idiocy is truly beyond me.

Black Swan. It was my first Aronofsky movie in the theater and it was awesome! I definitely recommend seeing it if you've enjoyed his other movies.

Am I the only one that could care less about RWT and botters? I would rather have a fun game that I can enjoy without so many restrictions. If some kid wants to spend his money on buying gp with physical currency, I say let him waste his money (or hers for that matter). If he wants to bot all his levels, I say let him. Neither of those gives any sort of gratification that attaining levels in an honest manner would. I am indifferent to bots and gold farmers and am willing to put them back in the game if I can play Runescape the way it was MEANT to be played.

There's something really fishy about this that I don't like, but I can't put my finger on it. Oh well, I voted anyways. Bring back free trade!
