  1. You skipped the best songs(s) Wings for Marie (Pt 1) and 10,000 Days (Wings Pt 2) I can't say I got into those as much as the other songs on that album. There just doesn't seem like any coherent "point" to them. I think it was just an attempt to write some songs about his Mother. How she was so devoted to her faith that she was going to heaven and all the half assed Christians that she went to church with were not going to heaven. I also think he was trying to say that when people die they will be judged according to their own beliefs rather than a set of beliefs applied to everyone. I.e. Christians will be judged by their doctrine, Muslims by theirs, and so on. At least that's what I got out of it.
  2. Shoe Goo is the best idea. I've repaired my flat sole Macbeths with it multiple times and they're pretty similar to the way Converse are made.
  3. Right in Two is easily the best song on 10,000 Days.
  4. St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN. Studying Social Studies Education.
  5. I'd like to know where you got that they're the best live band in history haha. That just seems simply laughable. I didn't say they were bad live, just that they couldn't produce the same sound live as they could when they holed themselves up in a studio and tripped for days at a time.
  6. Using shock value is a great way to get a message across. It's all an act.
  7. Jon Theodore, the original Mars Volta drummer. Gotta love him. Tom, Jon, who the [bleep] cares. I care :( It matters to me!
  8. New monster is not worth it at all. The amulet will drop in price quite far and these monsters will be empty within 2 weeks.
  9. Jon Theodore, the original Mars Volta drummer. Gotta love him.
  10. You know what's funny is that with your massive 78 Slayer, you can't even kill some of those monsters you're critiquing hahahaha.
  11. I'm laughing myself silly at anyone who thinks Slayer is a largely AFK skill.
  12. People that cut their hair to be trendy or unique end up just looking like tools. Get a normal hair cut or just grow it out to whatever length you want it.
  13. Totally agree, I used to be in XC when I was in high school. Just saying that although people think because it's so taxing on the respiratory system and that you get very fatigued from it, that it burns (a lot) more calories than walking or biking. They should read up on it more :)
  14. Running is a waste of time unless you're in a sport. If you're doing it for weight loss, you could burn almost the same amount of calories per mile walking at a brisk pace than running. Cycling also burns nearly as many.
  15. Yeah I check on it every so often and he hasn't touched his account.
  16. So did he still make money off it or what? That much xp without profit would be expensive.
  17. I was always wondering how Larryr did that. Never knew.
  18. Yeah everyone stop replying and bumping this to the top.
  19. Synyster Gates is about the same to guitar as Joey Jordison is to drumming.
  20. People only think they're irrelevant or overrated because music's evolved to such an extent that The Beatles have become dated. I do like them but I can only listen to The Beatles if they come on the radio or whatever, I would never choose to listen to them when I've got so much other music I prefer. However, you have to appreciate how important they are to music. So many bands have been inspired by them, whether they realise it or not. It could be directly (for example, Oasis being inspired by The Beatles) or indirectly (The Enemy being inspired by Oasis who were inspired by The Beatles) if that makes sense. Music would be completely different today if it wasn't for those four boys from Liverpool. Sorry, but I don't buy that. Pop music might have been changed by them, but I really don't see why people claim the Beatles changed the face of music completely. There are plenty of other bands out there in each genre that did as much or more for that particular genre than the Beatles did. Besides, why aren't you giving credit to all the bands that started Skiffle? And while we're at it, let's bring it all back to New York City's Tin Pan Alley; the original roots of Skiffle. The Beatles just happened to catch on in their genre and now everyone and their brother has a boner for them and thinks that they've changed the entire world of music. I also don't think that people dislike them because they've become dated. I think people dislike them because they dislike them. I don't judge music on how old it is or if it sounds like it's from 45 years ago, I judge it by how much it appeals to what I like and I really dislike the Beatles. Their songwriting ability was average at best, they had a pile of crap drummer in Ringo Star (I don't believe for a second he was the best drummer in Liverpool), and the only thing they really had going for them was the Lennon/McCartney duo.
  21. I wouldn't feel guilty for hitting a person on a bike if they're acting like an idiot just like those guys were and I think that a person driving a car at its top speed recklessly is more dangerous than a fool on a bike going that bicycle's top speed.
  22. Hahahaha, emotionally harming someone by recklessly riding a bike? Maybe a little adrenaline got leaked into the driver's veins but jeeze, that's about it. If people want to ride their bikes in an unconventional manner, what's it to you? They have just as many rights on the road as moronic drivers do.
  23. I was just going to let it pass because the moderators don't typically like that but yeah, both bands are a major trip that you need to try. Are you sure? Aren't they known for making up rumors to get their fans worked up? I haven't heard anything about a new album yet. They never do that on purpose, they only say when they're going into the studio. It's never a definite date until they release it and anything else is simply speculation. Although I do not doubt they'll release it in 2010, it could be until 2011 if you look at their track record for the last 2 albums.
  24. Those guys were riding one gear road bikes, they had brakes.
