  1. Thank you. The Nordiques are now the Avalanche ;) , and the "s" was what I was trying to point out.
  2. Personally, i'd rather trade my average damaged goods for damaged goods that were once elite. Either way, i'm sure we'll quickly find out if the trade was a deal or not in the coming months.
  3. I've cheered for the Nordiques all my life. I'm insulted when people misspell MY team's name.
  4. Pens better do better this year :P They can't do much worse. And to add to some other thoughts: - Sens have no drive. They never pick it up for playoffs. - Aebischer for Theodore was a steal. Colorado's main issue is their salary hit from bonuses (~4M) on Sakic and Blake. Konowalchuk's retiring will make room for them to purchase a decent guy, should someone pop into the market. - Both new logo's are horrible and their artist's deserve to be quartered.
  5. Not really. I just modified the ones I know will do well. It's not you like you have to go re-vamping to the hundreds. There's only 12 teams which means like 2 people on each position (I think). So max you should go to is about 30 or so. 160 Players will be drafted. But in my humble opinion not all 160 top ranked players should be up there. On a sidenote, StrikerRay - your sig bothers me. The avalanches don't exist.
  6. Out of pure curiosity, How many people are completely re-vamping the Draft Pick list? I've modified mine heavily.
  7. Forgot to post here - I signed up yesterday. Working on my Draft Picks now.
  8. Well, I have experienced both the American private school system and the Canadian public school system. My marks jumped 10%+ going from Canadian public to American private. I also found AP courses to cover more Canadian junior material then senior. However, I guess there is a possibility it was just the difference between schools and not systems.
  9. I loved Malik's goal last year. Just the guts you'd have to have to do that in a game's shoot-out. Did i mention that last year (in 74 games) he only got 2 goals? GO COLORADO!
  10. A great deal of time (and money) was spent playing with Lego as a child. Unfortunately, the new lego is horrible compared to the late 80s and 90s stuff. I got bored - so I found some of my favourite models: http://www.lugnet.com/pause/pictures.html Castle and pirates are easily the best. I also liked the old town stuff and one of the trains. And i can't forget space, especially "Ice Planet -2002" Direct linking isn't allowed so: Wild West- 6769 Trains - 4559 , 4554 Space - 6929, 6879 (Ice Planet) Pirates - 6248, 6271, 6280 Town - 6350, 6284 Castle - 6054, 6086, 6090, 6056 Just go to that section on the website, and then search for the number.
  11. The event happened closer to home. Generally, most people arenÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t impacted as much by someone dieing on the other side of the world, someone they never met. Where as, itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s more common to know of a family that was a victim of 9/11, so they might feel as if the next time it could be their own family. I personally wish it were different tooÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ
  12. Those interested in buying skills could really enjoy this new skill. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅSwiss Bank FundÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
  13. The worst skill Jagex could release? "Logged Off" Skill. Every hour your logged off you gain marginal xp. A bonus 1000 xp will be given to those who remain logged off for an entire month. Activities such as "Bike riding" or "hiking" may earn you additional experience. In order to confirm participation in these activities, a signed and dated photograph must be submitted (via snail mail) to JagexÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Customer Support. Naturally, Member's Only. Edit: Once you reach level 50, bonus xp is awarded for time spent on other MMORPGs.

    oil supply

Thanks for the laugh. The entire world's oil reserve is only projected at 1300 billion barrels (1.3 trillion). USA has roughly 21 billion barrels. For some weird reason, I doubt America is hiding a reserve nearly 100x that. Not too mention (if my math is right - it's late.) that much oil would cover an area of 318 000 000 km3... I doubt even the rockies could hold a secret that big. Don't kill me if my math stinks. It's late and the conversions were done quickly.
  15. I love your style. If your really bored, I have an idea for an avvy I would love to have. A guy wearing a white lab coat and goggles, pouring something into a vial. (in runescape a similar look to the Herblore potions - I forget the proper name right now) Then have an explosion coming out of the vial with smoke. Obviously, it wouldn't have to be exactly like that but you get the gist.. If not, Thanks anyways. I look forward to seeing your future work.
  16. Being ranked 1337 in a skill (or better). That or having all the chompy hats.
  17. I haven't tested it, but I think the only way for the stew + tea to work is if you use the tea first and then the stew. Otherwise the tea just goes over the stew. But then again, I haven't tested it yet...
  18. I caught a lobster once - with a harpoon. :-k I guess thats a weird glitch.
  19. All the pictures you need ;) Since i'm nice I'll post a few more. Puerto Rico: Runner-up Japan: 3rd Switzerland: 4th Paraguay: 5th USA: Your welcome.
  20. No picture, but a while back I managed to completely burn my back. Apparently it is a bad idea to fall asleep in the sun. However, I managed to have a non-burnt handprint on my right shoulder blade - from when my friend slapped my back, after she applied sun block.
  21. Aside from a dozen reality shows nothing else was on, so I ended up watching this... I didn't realize that she was the youngest, I do know that there were several other 18 year olds though. I'm pretty sure they all fell between the ages of 18 and 26, with most of them being 20-23. Personally I thought that Japan would win it... :| And quickly flipping through the Miss Universe website: http://www.missuniverse.com/mainevent/index.html
  22. Personally I find farming to be a VERY handy way of gaining experience in Herblore, not too mention I have MADE millions. One thing that bugs me in your guide is the recommendation of low-level herbs. Guams, Merrentills, Tarromins and Harralanders all give meager experience. This means it takes you longer to get xp, and can be more costly. All potions require a waterfilled vial and a secondary ingredient. With the exception of ashes, newt eyes, and possibly chocolate, all the secondary ingredients are expensive due to the usefulness they have in making super strength potions, super restore and the likes. Assuming your buying everything needed, as collecting a thousand or two vials is a pain, you will be paying 400-1000 gp each for the herb, 200 gp each for the vial, and 300-1000 gp for the ingredient. That is like paying 1000-2000 gp to make on potion, and receiving between 25-70 xp. Not too mention the vials are worth more then the finished product. Better potions require an investment but actually net a return. Prayer potions being the best for people in the 50s. The Ranarr costs 7k, vial 200ea, Snape grass 500ea. The potion EASILY sells for 7500 ea for a reasonable amount. That only costs you 200 gp for 87 xp in profit. Other potions could be: Range potions, Super sets, and a few others. (I canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t give away ALL my secrets ;) ) Range potions cost you 2500 for the dwarf, 200 for the vial, 1000 for the wine. They sell anywhere between 3000-4000ea. Depending on your luck and patience you can easily make a tidy sum or lose a little bit. Their potions give you 175 xp per Potion. Compare the cost of that to SEVEN normal Attack potions for the same experience. Super Sets can be slightly tricky. For the Super Attack: 2000 for the herb, 200 for the vial, 250 for the eye. It alone sells for 1000-1500 and gives you 100 xp. The Super defence costs: 2000-2500 for the herb, 200ea for the vial, 800-1000ea for the whiteberry. ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s potion alone sells for 2000-3000ea and you get 150 xp. Super Strengths cost: 4300 for the Kwuarm, 200 for the vial, 750 for the limpwurt. They sell for between 4000-5000ea and give 125 xp. Together the set sells for 8000-10 000ea and costs 10700-11400 and gives you 375 xp. The money lost from this method is similar to that of the basic 4 potions, but gives much more xp. Of course paying more money for the ingredients and selling the potions cheaper means more experience, paying less and selling for more means profit. Sorry for stealing your thread like this. *Some of my lower level herb prices are probably off slightly as IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve stopped using them for a while. For those that care, i'm about 40k xp from level 83 Herblore.
  23. Well, you're a moron. The US gets the majority of its oil from countries like Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia. If the US was to invade a country for oil, why wasn't it Canada or Mexico? We're right by the country's border. Pardon me for butting in (and sliding off-topic slightly), but while most of the imports of Oil does come from these nations, that doesn't mean their reserves are all larger then Iraqs. Saudi Arabia easily has the largest reserve (~260 billion barrels). Canada would come next (~175 billion barrels) but most of its Oil is in the Alberta Oil Sands, which is more costly to extract and refine. Iran is third (~125), Iraq is next (~115), and then Kuwait (~100). Venezuela is around 7th at ~75 billion barrels. Mexico is more unknown, most people peg it between 15-25 billion barrels but I believe the Mexican government thinks its closer to 100. *Numbers are more then likely off by a few billion barrels but the order of countries should still be the same. On a side note, if I personally wanted Oil, I would invade Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Iran or Iraq. Canada has the hassle of the Oil in the sand, Mexico should have a small reserve. --- Back on-topic. Is America a menace? Yes, but that isn't always a bad thing.

    The Heat

Anyone mind sending some heat my way? Low 20s here, but i think we did get up to 26-27 a week ago. 35C is better then -35C.
  25. Excuse my slight Off-Topicness. As horrible as the event is, I canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t help feel that the location of the event is the reason for all the media. Had this happened in a Third World Nation, very few people would know about it. Today, many baby girls are killed, specifically in India. Some parents see girls as something they canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t afford, as it is a tradition for the brideÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s family to pay a dowry to the groomÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s family. Seeing as how many families are poor there, the dowries are seen as an unnecessary cost to the struggling family. On the other hand, if the family has a son they will receive wealth from the dowry. This leads to countless abortions of girls or the deaths of newborn girls. It has been said 500,000 girls are ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅmissingÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
