I'm making this thread to stop the abundant banter (that I have participated in) about prayer in the "You attack first! No you attack first!" topic. Do you think you should protect pray when PKing? I think so. I BH in F2P, and praying longer than my opponent because their pray ran out got me the loot a few times now. Same thing for Duel Arena. Discuss.

That's f2p. Although this entire thread aside, I just can't fanthom why you would pray melee in f2p of all places, pvp is so painfully slow there already. Because it lets me win. People have lower Prayer in F2P.

I have yet to to go to the Duel Arena in P2P, but in P2P, when your opponent's protection prayer runs out before yours and you still have quite some HP left, it's a definite advantage, and it's made me win a few times before.

This morning, I decided to head to the F2P BH craters, just to try it, since I wasn't going to be 100- combat forever. I near killed a level 98 pure (my F2P level) with a strength skillcape, but he managed to squeeze out of the cave. I'm 79/79/79. I'll let you conclude.

Alright, I'm going to be a little bit of a smartass here, but if he has 200 hp (50 combat levels) and hits 35 (339 strength levels, around 110 levels, since he doesn't have any strength bonuses), he has combat 15 levels left for attack and defense. The maximum here is around 45 attack or 60 defense, or a mix of both. In other words, he's weak enough to be camped at, even in F2P, since there's an altar. And, you'd think he'd drop bones as a replacement to the Bone Yard.

Nothing wrong with using prayer, but using any protect pray is just nooby. This is just pathetic. Just because most pures dont have the brains to understand the fact that the skills are there to be used, doesnt meen you are a noob for using them. You can make the joker quite easily with prince clothing + mime mask, maybe with a Keris, a kitchen knife or some other sort of dagger.
