  1. And as we all know, wiki's are an excellent source of valid information  Saradomin has never been a human. Most of the info on the RuneScape Wiki is true actually, and I'm one of the people who try to keep it that way. If you write something new, you will have to give a source, otherwise it will get deleted. And I have read the Saradomin article and it never says anything about Saradomin being a human, that's just rubbish.
  2. Sounds like 2010 will begin with a bang! The updated Nomad looks far more evil than the old one, almost like Darth Vader without his helmet. And according to Zimberfizz he's been paying regular visits to the Soul obelisk... Maybe he's charging himself for the upcoming Ritual? Assuming he is a Mahjarat of course.

  5. is standing in front of the Stone of Jas

  6. More than I'd like to, but I still think it's gonna be great :D.
  7. It's inevitable really. In Meeting History we see Guthix using the Stone of Jas to create the runes, and that was after the Elder Gods left Gielenor and charged the Dragonkin with guarding it, so Guthix must've met them. Strange... Too bad I can't read that thread *points to sig* Damn you 65 Herblore requirement . But the long wait is over now! I am now able to do While Guthix Sleeps and be up-to-date with everything :). Alright, it was a mistake. No harm done :).
  8. Maybe it's some sort of moon. Well it is some sort of landmass yeah, but in another dimension. That we know for sure. [/hide] Armadyl has such a small following because few have heard of him. He probably was a God of average power, and he left after the Aviantese were wiped out. The God Wars were still raging though, so people switched Gods. In those times you couldn't afford being loyal to a God who isn't there. And in these times almost no one remembers him anymore. As for that powerful weapon of his, like you (MHL) already said, maybe it's just a conduit. However, I don't agree with what Brianite said. It would have been far more powerful in the hands of the God Armadyl than in the hands of the Mahjarrat Zamorak. And Guthix didn't come through the portal in Meeting History... That was why I said what I said. Because you had said pretty much exactly what I had said and what everyone else said. I made the point that it acted as a power conduit for a major power source, like the Stone of Jas. Oh, and did anyone have a rebuttal to my assertion that the Dragonkin were pre-Guthix and therefore the plane wasn't empty? Must've missed that part eh? I'm only agreeing with you, not stealing your ideas or anything. And I believe you have a point about the Dragonkin thing.

  10. I remember reading somewhere that Guthix FOUND an empty plane (Gielinor). Yes, then shaped it into the world we roam today, right? Indeed, so I doubt he is the son/daughter of an Elder God. I agree that it's unlikely. If both his parents were Elder Gods Guthix would have been one too, and if only one of his parents was one, then where is the other God? Of course it could have left together with all the Elder Gods... Assumptions, assumptions. Sources tell us that Guthix indeed found this plane, although empty, and that he populated it himself. The Elves arrived through the World Gate, and the Humans through the Portal of Life etc. etc.. I don't think it's clear whether Guthix found only this dimension, or that he found this planet. The only things we know for sure is that the Elder Gods created Gielenor (the planet or the dimension?) and that Guthix populated it and brought life to it. The reason why the RuneScape Wiki says that Guthix actually can't create planes/planets is purely logical: Why would he populate a dimension someone else made instead of creating his own? I must admit that I too assumed Guthix's limits this way, though it's far from certain. One thing does come to mind now, said by the Queen of Snow: "The Land of Snow was created aeons ago by Guthix, as part of his balancing of the world. The coldness of this place counteracts the heat of the great deserts and volcanoes of others, ensuring the correct balance of hot and cold." As with other sources, this can be taken both ways. By 'created', does she mean Guthix created the whole dimension? Or did he just find an empty plane and decided it should be cold there?
  11. I don't think there is any information about when Armadyl came to Gielenor exactly. All we know is that Guthix says he's the first, at the start of the First Age. But if Armadyl was an Elder God, and Guthix wasn't, then how is it possible that Guthix was powerful enough to shape this world where Armadyl was not? Furthermore, Guthix says he was the first God to arrive after the Elder Gods left the plane. If there was actually an Elder God slumbering somewhere, don't you think he would've felt it? I think an Elder God would do a bit better in the God Wars than Armadyl did, even though he's pacifistic. He loves the Aviantese and would do anything to protect them. We now know they're almost completely butchered. Elder Gods have the power to create planets, maybe even dimensions, so Armadyl (if he was an Elder God) would have been able to prevent this. About how the Staff returned to the Guardians: I agree it's strange that we know nothing about it, but as Misterknowitall said, Zamorak was banished for some time, so in that period a lot could've happened.
  12. I believe that Armadyl is a good god and an even better god than Saradomin. Armadyl is the God of Justice, and you could view that as neutral. Lady Justice has a blindfold right? Impartiality? We see him as a good God because we see justice as fair and we believe in it. I don't know about Marimbo or the Desert Pantheon specifically, but Seren is the second deity ever to arrive in Gielinor, just after Guthix.
  13. The cause of the God Wars isn't necessarily Zamorak ascending to godhood, but rather everyone wanting to fill the void in power Zaros left behind and wanting to replace him and his empire. Zamorak probably had this plan too, but he couldn't just take a seat on Zaros' throne like nothing happened. All the other factions seized the opportunity of the momentary weakness of the empire and attacked at full strength. And Saradomin and Armadyl may have been somewhat 'happy' with Zaros being gone, but seeing Zamorak instead becoming a God would probably worry them quite a bit. Furthermore, the principle itself of attacking and 'killing' one of their kind was serious enough for Zamorak to be banished by the other Gods. The only problem was that nobody thought he'd come back... which he did. But if he is stripped from his godly powers, then how can he extract power from his followers? Isn't that one of the key characteristics of a God? To grow in power when his following does? Same for prayer energy, if you aren't a God you can't do that. I agree somewhat with Zaros simply having his own agenda. From different sources we now know Zaros both had a firm grip on his empire and employed dark creatures. Saradominists say he is a dark, warring God, but Zarosians like Azzanadra worship him for being so good. Maybe he is both, and (like was said by multiple people before me) just craves power, a huge empire, supremacy. Within the borders of his empire everything is good, while on the front mortals see the dark side of Zaros: a virtually unstoppable warmachine. This is a good thread :).
  14. Icthlarin is the demigod of the dead, not death as far as I know. I'm pretty sure he's a god. No he's a Demi-God alright, his examine in Icthlarin's Little Helper says so. As Magzar above me already stated, the chance that Guthix is a Mahjarrat is non-existant. With a lot of imagination you could figure out a way, as Zamorak already proved it's possible, but that would be far too farfetched and would cause a lot of problems with known facts. Also, about the whole bedate on whether Zaros is stronger than Guthix or not: You have to take into account that Guthix might have some advantage over Zaros, as they're fighting on and over Gielenor, and it (Guthix is genderless) pretty much "created" the place. Of course it didn't really create it, but think of the Anima Mundi for example. It created that thing, the "Soul of the World", without which the world can not exist. Maybe Guthix has some sort of homeground advantage. Just a theory though, so don't quote me on that . For now we can only assume that both Guthix and Zaros are very powerful, with the evidence suggesting that Guthix is the superior one.
  15. Too bad "Kudos Island" is located due north of Morytania eh?
  16. Although I've already sorta wished Tipit a merry Christmas, and it's already the 26th here... I still wanna wish you all MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
  17. Maybe the new Mod forgot, he's just a newbie you know .
  18. I'd like to use this thread to wish the whole of Tipit a very merry Christmas! <3:
  19. Stupid Herblore is slowing me down :@:@:@:@

  20. Haven't really played any of last year's content, as I was semi-retired, but I remember the Chosen Commander very well. It was a nice ending to a good series, with plenty of attention to the emotional side of it all. I loved the little talks with Zanik. They helped to give the game a more human feel, as you'd do the same if you really stood there. By the way, there isn't going to be a next installment, the series is over right? I also recently played the Temple at Senntisten and I have to say, it's a good one. Not sure if I'm totally unbiased as it's full of history thingies, but helping a near-immortal unbeatable magician in contacting an ancient, banished but very powerful God? Pretty sure that's what you find if you look under "Epic" in the dictionary .
  21. WHAT THE HELL JIMMY YOU'RE A GIRL?!??

  22. Mining sux!... Oh wait, no it doesn't :D

  23. Thanks :) Yours is... nicely timed :D

  24. Grats dewd :D (or dewdette, I don't even know your gender)! You should really set it to something other than a snowman

  25. Grats Pie, be sure to use it instead of letting it rot away ;) That would be rude :o
