Definitely. At least on my part- these are my thoughts exactly. I agree. This discussion isn't even between the whole of Tip.it anymore, but between Jagex and a few members which I shall not name. If I may, let me rephrase that. The issue is with Jagex. Some Tip.It'ers take good notice of that issue. Still, a large part of Tip.it is no longer participating in this rather controversial discussion.

I am quoting this fellow visitor of this gaming forum for the reason of his opinion being completely identical to mine. As for the chest, quit whining please! I remember a post a few days/weeks back about the bust size of the tavern lady at the Poison Arrow being WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to big, and didn't we all hate those "Come play my Lord" ads? So what if her chest isn't double D? It's got nothing to do with this game anyway. I bet if Jagex even made them slightly bigger the RSOF would explode with posts about how "Jagex should buy me a new keyboard because this one is now drenched in... soda... *cough*".

Dungeons of Daemonheim trailer from Thejagexchannel
Hippodo replied to Amundogus2's topic in General Discussion
Indeed, the shadows of those players outside Daemonheim were a leap forward from what we have now. As for the sea we see (yeah nice pun) in the beginning, is this what RuneScape could look like?? I thought it was some other form of digital effect, not Java or anything... It looked so gewd! And the new dragon model as well, that thing looks great. I'll have to take a good look at Astea too once I see her again... heh heh heh ;) Good music and voice over btw, reminded me of Galadriel. -
Looks Greek to me . Anyway, as has been said before, you can actually report these kinds of ads. So Jagex is actively trying to get rid of them, sometimes one just slips through the nets.

I feel vaguly foolish for having posted this topic. It seems everyone has seen quite a few of them, I didnt see any on my way up and only just saw 1 out of the corner of my eye and seeing as no-one had mentioned these or screenshotted any I assumed I'd stumble on sumat Don't feel bad Paw, the only way to a great find is to research these kind of things. Besides, maybe there is some other meaning to these ghost sightings...

In my opinion the strange scraps and loose documents we find are a great way for us to slowly unravel the story behind this all. I can't wait to find out what is at the end of the labyrinth. As for the ghosts, the first thing I did after I landed at Daemonheim was scout the entire peninsula looking for hidden content, so I found them fairly soon. They look like Fremennik so I assumed they were the fallen comrades that Thok was talking about.

[/hide] High level F2P players gets the screw on this one. Hey wait a minute... I'm a high level F2P player! Or at least semi-high level... Does this mean you only encounter really easy monsters in F2P?

[hide] Now this is what interests me! No discussions about the economy or PVP, but story and lore. :D It seems from Esper_Jones's post that we will find Bilrach the Mahjarrat somewhere in the deepest levels. Next to nothing is known about this Bilrach, except that he is of 'average power' for a Mahjarrat according to Zemouregal. Furthermore he is a Zamorakian. I'm keeping an eye out for more of these notes, maybe we can discover what lies at the end of this dungeon... [/hide]

Armies of Gielinor Story Competition - Winners 07-Apr-2010
Hippodo replied to Guthorm's topic in General Discussion
A grammatically correct translation of Saradomin's second. [hide] Saradomin Strikes Prologue: The Raid Why dont you two take the rest of the day off? Thanks father said Arthon while he set aside the newly made sword. Care for a bite to eat at the inn? Alright, Ill see you once Ive picked up Alissa. Together they walked out the smithy and both went in separate directions. Smiling Arthon walked through the street, he wasnt feeling hungry at all. Arthon only wanted to go to the inn to see Lertisa, de innkeepers daughter. Logram probably knew this but didnt mention it in front of father, he thought. Tonight, Arthon planned to talk to her as he found out from his cousin that Lertisa fancied him as well. Suddenly the clear blow of a horn arose from the centre of the city. Unsettled Arthon looked up, in the distance a dark plume of smoke could be seen, towards the gates, clearly visible against the blue sky. Logram went in that direction. With a tense gaze he looked at the column of smoke, as if in doing so he could discover the cause of it. Just as Arthon wanted to run towards the dark plume of smoke he heard a bang nearby. By the gods! Arthon exclaimed, A demon, here!? A giant demon emerged from the smoke and started crushing the houses, a unit of paladins passed him and rushed towards the demon. Arthon ran after them but was halted by one, go to the southern district and stay there said the paladin. No! I have to know if my brother is safe! yelled Arthon to the paladin. Suddenly, Arthon felt a hand touching his shoulder and he heard a soft, unintelligible whisper in his head, and everything went black before his eyes. Coughing, Arthon stood up. He smelt the stench of burned flesh and wood and when he looked in the direction he saw the demon he discovered the northern district was totally destroyed save for a few buildings. Suddenly a monk came running towards him. What happened? asked Arthon. The northern city district is destroyed, there are dozens of wounded and dead, and there are even some civilians taken by the enemy army, thats all we know. To be continued [/hide] -

Does anyone want me to properly translate the Sara runner-up? -
This is enough to pull me out of my forum silence. It's strange to see how Jagex's friendly approach to fansites is slowly starting to look like blackmail, and I don't like it one bit. I've never really criticized Jagex because I thought they'd know best, but I'm starting to agree with MHL (oh no!). But if we look at it all, what can Jagex really do? A lot you might say, and indeed they can, but I don't think they'll actually do much. If we don't comply Jagex will throw us off the gold list. If we don't comply they'll censor our name. Does this really matter? We are arguably the best site, we are one of the biggest if not the biggest rs fan site. If Jagex no longer supports us we will continue to exist, without a doubt, because we offer quality guides and have a large and loyal userbase, and that is what counts.

Image from when the Indians opened RS They should've used Megan Fox. She is more "animated". Okay this is kinda cheap... But whatever, it's their game :P. Saw RuneScape ads pop up (Graardor, K'rill, Corp) on the site where I watch my series all week now, but I wasn't sure if RS advertisement was new or not. In my opinion there's nothing wrong with Jagex advertising their game. The whole argument that RuneScape will fill with kiddies doesn't really mean much to me, as I won't notice the difference.

Ah, these threads are fun, the first days are always the best. I remember getting killed by a goblin in Lumby and worrying about the leather boots and gloves I lost, turned out I could get infinite amounts by searching cupboards :) . The goblin mails and bronze sq shields they dropped were big money in those days! I trained my Smithing to 20 in a few days by walking between Lumbridge and Varrock and mining, smelting and smithing everything myself. The day I could smith full bronze was the most epic day ever <3:. And I remember buying a blue wizard hat in a strange port town with docks everywhere, turned out I wandered to Port Sarim.

Orly? :-o Easter for sure, my least favourite holiday event of the year since the last one. Christmas and Halloween are great, but Easter? Bleh... -
Mod Fetzki iCould gives ingame look at new Zanaris!
Hippodo replied to Amundogus2's topic in General Discussion
You can really see they've put a lot of effort in this new look; the old cow-powered windmill doesn't have a ramp. How that cow gets up there will forever stay a mystery... Nice paths by the way  -
05-Mar-2010 - RuneScape Machinima Competition 2 Results!
Hippodo replied to Neos_Matrix's topic in General Discussion
The winner had a nice one, although I didn't think it was the best. The Dwarf Multicannon one was very... smooth, so to say, and I liked the music in the one advertising Ardougne. I liked the song so much that I searched it on youtube, and what did I find in the comments? RuneScapers of course. We're everywhere! -
I'm sorry, I don't understand... EDIT: Ah I see what you mean now. Although Bacon stated it originally, I hadn't heard of him until now. It just popped into my mind.

Knowledge is power, as a good friend of mine once said. :)

Did I miss anything? Dahmaroc is pronounced "Duh, mah rock" I've thought of it more as D' I'm a rock. Yeah duh mah rock makes no sense other than having rock in. I broke it down as Dam A rock Or D' I'm a Rock Yeah I read it as "damn, a rock" too. Maybe, besides his name, they were his final words too? Seriously though, I'm curious for whether this guy willl tell us anything. Maybe he'll come back to life if we rebuild the statue 30 times and tell us a little story from the Second Age.
-
Okay okay, so this mage guy walks into the Second Age, kay? Then, suddenly, he gets turned to stone! Well isn't this ironic, he thought. Guess why? 'Cause the guy's name was Dahmaroc! :XD: Hahaha ha ha hah haha ha!

lol they've always worshiped guthix ;) Are you serious? I've never knew that. I dont think they have actually. Dont they practice ancestorworshipping? I'm not sure about ancestors, but I think they do 'follow' Guthix, just not very active. They acknowledge Guthix is 'the best' God but in daily life don't really depend on him but rather on themselves. It can be seen in the split of the Fremennik with the Moon Clan, because of a disagreement over the runes Guthix placed on GIelenor. They know of many Gods, although follow none, with Guthix a bit above the rest because he shaped the world. At least that's what I make of it all.

Sweet, that's what I call a map expansion! On to the speculation! Don't think you can get any info from the colours of the tents as they were probably set up by the Fremmenik anyway. I can confirm that the symbols on the tents and standards are nothing like we've ever seen before, although I suspect that they're actually Fremmenik ones. I don't think we've encountered any of their symbols until now. I think this castle will bring us some sort of boss monster as mentioned in the Q&A's. It's evil for sure, and powerful enough to cause a power surge through the whole of Gielenor. It's apparently civilized as well if it built the castle. It could of course be that it found the ruins or killed the former inhabitants. I have my doubts about the Dragon Kin. Yes, they fit the description, but they already have a ruined castle just north of this one. Seems a bit strange to me. But it's not a wild guess; They are evil (or at least malevolent) and powerful, and have lived in the Wilderness in ages past.

I play it but im no good at it. :P Havent got FunOrb membership at the moment either so cant check the new campaign out. ooo ooo me! same here, no membs, i'll probably wait for the guthix campaign before i get a month of membs tbh it's a fun game, not very fair though, few maps are balanced Does the game contain any historical info not yet known in RuneScape? For example I'd like to look around the Hallowvale parts of this update, fair chance something good pops up. [/hide] Hmm, ehre's what I've noticed so far: White Knights were founded by Saradomin after a group of warriors managed to hold of hordes of Ogres, etc from what is now Falador. The Barrows brothers apparently traveled in pairs to Morytania. Or at least, they've been in pairs so far. But I'd take anything from AoG with a grain of salt. There's a good chance things won't match up. I mean we ARE getting a Guthix campaign. Actually the lore says the Barrows brothers all died in one massive fight thing with some evil sorcerer. Actually actually the lore tells us that they received special armour from the evil sorcerer, and while at first it made them invincible it gradually turned into a curse. In the end they all died at the same time even though their wounds weren't life-threatening. Anyway, it would be nice if I could get some of this info Morionic and TTanT mentioned screencapped. Pweese?
