I noticed those the first time I went there, there are quite a few of them wandering around, and I tried to bring a ring of visibility and ghostspeak amulet, but they still were not clickable/examinable.

When I first got off the boat, there were 2-3 of those very faint ghosts walking around. Somebody should try talking to one.

what i like is that there's still a lot to be explained about the whole area, like why the frems are there and although we know the strange power is related to this, we still don't know what it is

Cept we know Bilrach the mahjaratt is in the bottom of the dungeon now via the mysterious journals etc ppl found and he claims to be more powerful than zemergoul etc now whihc kinda explains the strnage power

In my opinion the strange scraps and loose documents we find are a great way for us to slowly unravel the story behind this all. I can't wait to find out what is at the end of the labyrinth. As for the ghosts, the first thing I did after I landed at Daemonheim was scout the entire peninsula looking for hidden content, so I found them fairly soon. They look like Fremennik so I assumed they were the fallen comrades that Thok was talking about.

Due to my epic stats, I have now started WGS (but I still hate spoilers).

Actually, I'm pretty sure the 'strange power' is what Bilrach is there trying to find because in the journals he says that he is trying to find a source of great power. And he does claim to be more powerful then Zemergoul so Bilrach + Strange power = ???? (think Stone of Jas-esque)

I feel vaguly foolish for having posted this topic.

It seems everyone has seen quite a few of them, I didnt see any on my way up and only just saw 1 out of the corner of my eye and seeing as no-one had mentioned these or screenshotted any I assumed I'd stumble on sumat

Don't feel bad Paw, the only way to a great find is to research these kind of things. Besides, maybe there is some other meaning to these ghost sightings...

Speaking of the odd ghosts, I was doing Penguins last night and someone was being attacked by one. She was wearing, Normal Coloured Whip, Squirell Ears, Zamorak Book and a Glory. But he had no animation - he was just staring at her and she was getting 0'd

Perhaps the Zamorak book makes them aggressive, or other such Zamorak related items seeing as a Mahjarrat is believed to be at the bottom of the dungeon, if they were killed in the dungeon they wouldn't exactly be nice to his followers.

Wait, everyone remembers Bilrach...Didn't you read that it's all done on his master's commands? who is he? according to the notes, its incredibely strong, and seeks whatever lies below Deamonheim.

The clock is ticking, and your time is running out, mortals.

His master would be Zamorak as he is a Zamorakian Mahjaratt.

Also remember there are differenlt notes/books:

1 set does indeed follow Bilrach and two companions making their way to find the power

But another set (from the companions it seems) clearly says hes gone "mad" and they are setting up traps to keep him in and us out

And a further set details his bringing his minions in to reside in the various levels of the place
