  1. Good story, not everything here has to have discussion value. Even if it gets locked, nicely done :P
  2. Grats Li Chef with your fifteenth birthday : In other news: Trying to get 75 Magic for WGS by completing all sorts of small quests, miniquests and D&D's. Latest lvl: [hide=][/hide] Also, I completed the first room of Summer's End! I'm so happy :D
  3. maybe the toilets are instanced. it works that way in harry potter i remember there was an easy quest that i did which mentioned "blahblahblah has gone in search of a restroom, and since a toliet has yet to be found in runescape, that should take awhile" something along those lines- maybe it was a desert quest? You're right, it's the 'The Feud' Quest. I already knew the dialogues, read them all on RS Wiki.
  4. As more said, MEP2. Massive kudos to the first guy (or gal) who did it. =D> Don't know why everyone is moaning about Underground Pass, I only fell a few times with about 40-45 Agility... Must be my luck
  5. I've been to the ghost, it's a really nice poem in my opinion : . Knowing the ghost stands in Morytania, it is easy to think the 'queen' he is talking about is in fact Queen Efaritay. In the first three screens, he's singing about roaming through the Myre and meeting the 'queen of love'. She shows him her gardens fair and wore flowers in her hair. Furthermore, the last screen states 'Then stretches out her silver wing'. This could all very well refer to Efaritay. She's an Icyene and they have silver wings. But what puzzles me are these sentences: 'She'd caught me in her silken net, And trap'd me as this silver shade. ... And mocks my loss of liberty.' This all sounds a bit cruel for the Queen Efaritay we know. She was known as a good queen, a benign ruler fighting against the forces of evil. I can't really see this coming from her. Either this isn't Efaritay, or this is Efaritay, but she's being possessed in the last part, or she isn't that good as we thought... Finally, I'm intrigued by 'Phoebus' kiss' that slowly faded. What is this? If we look at the meaning of Phoebus (posted above), I think Phoebus' kiss is some sort of blessing, maybe of medicine/health or light. If I understand the text posted above correctly, the name Phoebus refers to Apollo being the God of Light, so light would be a good choice. But Bill talks about his blessing slowly fading away, so this may indicate a slipping health, or dieing. Maybe the unknown queen turned him into a ghost because he was dieing anyway, and she just enjoyed his music too much... [/historian] :P
  6. Paw doesn't seem to get that it's the change in words that can help. Also, FYI, the correct translation doesn't have the exact same wording and the hints are occasionally pretty different in different language. Whatever; I give up with this: Paw's not getting or refusing to get my point and I'm apparently not seeing his. I don't see how the translation hurts but Paw's apparently the overlord of Jagex Twitter update protocol. :| What you're missing is that it doesn't matter if the words are different. It doesn't open any new avenues. Some languages have words that don't translate directly into another language. The wording the translation gives doesn't mean anything more than taking a thesaurus and finding synonyms for all the words would. They're not going to give different hints to people of different languages. It's all the same. It all means the same, and considering English is the primary language, we must assume that any faults in translation came from converting it from the original english. Converting translations back to English will give you the exact same phrase if interpreted properly. Any new words are completely irrelevant, simply because english is the primary language. I think the thing Elvarg and I believe, is that they sometimes (unintentionally) DO give hints to people of different languages. The French and German twitter hints may not be translations of the English ones; they have translation teams, so maybe one of them makes his or her own hint, which contains slightly different information. But let's just stop with this discussion, as I feel this could become a full scale flame war in only a couple of posts...
  7. It's part of the 'While Guthix Sleeps' quest. Somewhere after you've completed the Temple of Ikov quest you will get approached by a messenger. You've got a keen eye though .

[hide=Spoilers, only for Warriormonkx]You can use the Fairy Rings before you've completed Fairy Rale part II, but you DO need to have started it... Thus question 17 seems a bit vague.[/hide]
  9. Mos Le'Harmless of course, Trouble brewing is packed every day! (Actually it's the Grand Exchange ;) )
  10. I seem to remember that you get teleported away after you throw in the doll, to a safe cave with Koftik. This cave however, is a different one than the cave you get to if you'd jump in the Well of Vayage. That well gets repaired at the beginning of Regicide, so you couldn't even use it during Underground Pass. I'm pretty sure I didn't get teleported... why would I? Koftik doesn't seem like the kind to be adept at magic, and he was under the control of Iban anyways. So how could he teleport me away the second Iban was destroyed? I suppose the magical area itself could have teleported me, but I don't see why the evil temple would teleport me to a safe place.... it is rather strange lol. But there was a well, and I threw the doll down it, so it obviously can't have been completely destroyed... Well, back in the early days, you got teleported, and if you didn't have enough spots in your inventory, you simply didn't get a part of the reward (which appeared in your backpack as soon as you got teleported), so if you had not a single inventory spot, you wouldn't even get the staff of Iban. I think I didn't got the secondary runes for the Iban Blast. :P Oh well, good old memoires.. But seriously, why is Jagex so awkward to finish the best questline so far? Ok, I know the developer of the elf series was fired/left, but hey, they are with around 300 men at Jagex Towers... Yup, I'd kill for a sequel in that series right now (a good one, not like Catapult Construction... That one didn't even progress the storyline.). Btw, I watched a movie, and although it's pretty old, it proves something. After Iban dies the Temple starts to collapse, and you 'get thrown off the platform'. You don't land beneath it like the times you failed the jumps, you land in a small cave together with Koftik, mentally sane again. He mentions that some High Mages should be sent to reactivate the Well, and after that you leave.
  11. Try wording them a little better before flipping? I'm pretty sure that they're not direct translations; as far as I recall, the French and German were completely different to the English and to each other prior to the Dungeon Maps update a few weeks ago. Just because they happen to be similar now doesn't mean they always have been or always will be. Again you miss my point. Different languages uses different words to mean the same things. Therefore in a TRUE translation such as Jagex uses words get swapped out for words that have the right meaning in the other language. When we then directly translate this back we come up with a different word to what was used in english. Reading meaning into this is WRONG because the various phrase all mean exactly the same thing, the words are just different because in different language different words have different meanings and therefore to truely translate the meaning words are changed. The whole point is here: Jagex DO NOT use direct translations so that in all languages the MEANING remains the same When we read the other language hints, we DIRECTLY translate them back to english. The directly translated form has a different meaning to its untranslated counterpart due to the difference of how words are used in other languages. What Jagex wrote in english, french and german ALL have the exact same meaning in their respective languages. So reading into word difference found by direct translation DOES NOT produce further hints, it just sends us down the wrong path. I agree with ElvargII to be honest. The three twitter hints are all written to hint towards the same update, but as some sentences work better in some languages it can happen that they don't all contain exactly the same information. Or it can happen that the wording used in one hint can clarify the wording used in another. Stay cool
  12. Near meyerditch castle? You test my explorer-ness eh? :P http://www.iaza.com/work/090614C/Here40199.png I won this one  No pic, no proof. I remember someone claiming you'd get teleported away if you get too close to those pipes... But it probably wasn't true, or fixed. In other news, pictures of Pret getting a 99 and more! :D [hide=Pic tiem]Grats again Pret, awesome level Some lovely Tipit ladies (and crossdressers :-# ) wearing pink skirts in Catherby : And some Quests of course :P [/hide]

  14. I'll see if I can make it... Your party starts at about 11 PM in my timezone, and I have a biology exam the next day :| But 99 Mining is still pro :twss: And so is max total...
  15. Yes, because I have personally been there and explored the area. ;) And don't forget the tree, only place you find 'em.
  16. 1 Giagantic flaw in your logic. The Kudos Ilse is special because it has not been touched since the 2nd Age. This is special because msot things from the 1st and 2nd age were destroyed during the godwars in the 3rd age. Eg fighters of the godwars cannot exsist on kudos isle as it was untouched by the godwars. Hippo...wrong? THE END OF THE WORLD! ... *seppuku* My bad, I remembered the island to be largely untouched since the 3rd Age. Everything's fine, go back to sleep, the world is NOT going to end, 'cause I'm still the historian around here. Still pwnin' u noobs wif mah brain. Just wanted to make that clear...
  17. I don't remember such a large open space in Tirannwn... Anyway, that tower has been there since the beginning, but that hole hasn't. That first pic, is that you inside Prifddinas? Because if that hole in the wall allows you to get into the city, maybe this means they're working on a sequel :o Although Mod Mark himself stated thath there won't be one for a long time :( Btw, did you add those effects? If you didn't, that's new too.
  18. I'm thinking Kudos Isle like some people above me said, with 'abandoned monsters' being the fighters of the God Wars who were left behind after the Gods left Gielinor. In the case that's true 'conveyances' means the Digsite barge. Don't know about the grave stones, although the Varrock Museum did say the Kudos Isle had a lot of archeological value, and gravestones = acheology (sorta :?). Conveyances could also mean the new mystery teleport.
  19. Hey, we did too : Only at Tipit a spontaneous chillout can occur
  20. Wanted to get some levels for my remaining quests, and 69 Smithing was on the top of my list : [hide=SC hammer is awesome
  21. The Tooth Fairy. Damn, you beat me to it. : As for the boss fight, possibly a similar battle between you & Zanik versus Bandos Avatar? Of course, in this case, Zanik could be replaced by hundreds of resisting fairies. The boss itself could be the Fairy Grandfather aided by those Orks wandering around Zanaris. From the diary, it sounds like it's going to be unique, can't wait to try it out. :) Fairy GODfather, not grandfather. But I want this trilogy to END! I think they said that this was going to be the last quest in the series. Yup, it'll be the third and last quest in the series. Not much can happen anyway, we got Zanaris full of Orks and the Godfather, and a hideout of the Fairy Resistance full of Fairies and the Queen. You will probably do some scouting or invent a secret weapon, and after that they'll clash.
  22. Got my membership back yesterday, couldn't resist all that new content anymore =P~. First thing I did (after TOG of course) was the Chosen Commander. [hide=The Chosen Commander][/hide] And what a great quest it was! The music and the emotions, it all feels really... mature, so to say, and important. I especially liked the moments you could choose to sit next to Zanik and just say nothing... : A great step forward compared to older quests. Next up: the Hunt for Red Raktuber! \
  23. That really DOES look like something from Naruto.[/hide] As I said a few posts up, the 'Ancient Ogres' can be found in the God Wars Dungeon.
