I think this should be in Help & Advice. As for your problem, I have no idea. :?

Runescape and it's place in History
This was a great read, you've certainly put in some more thought than the average geography topic, kudos =D>. But although it's nice to see all the parallels with the real world, I do think that many of the races or kingdoms in RuneScape can't be linked to only one society. In my opinion most of them are influenced by many kingdoms in history, just as the developers are. But still, that doesn't render your topic incorrect, again nicely done : .

Discuss - Preview : Changes to the Offence System
I like this update, I never fully recovered from my so called "offence". I made a joke about RuneScape 3 in full leetspeak, log in the next day with a temporary mute and 5 black marks . That scared the hell outta me, because the next wannabe mod that comes by and sees me making a joke could mean the end of my account :?. And I'm a good boy...

Mod Mmg's Cc, 5th May.
Or perhaps more likely they have a dedicated team for minigames which are all working non stop on Mobilising Armies and there is another team that deal with adding little bits of content. Its not like they put 100% of staff time into one thing at a time. Quoted for truth. I think making Skillcapes F2P is a good decision. As others above me pointed out, getting a 99 is harder in F2P than it is as a member. That makes it even more of an accomplishment, and so they deserve a Cape of Accomplishment to show it off.

6th May 2009 - Bounty Hunter Wilderness-only PvP
Oh good, I hope the whole PVP system is going to be okay again now. I'm not a PVP-er myself but that doesn't mean I like to see a large part of the game in a 'bad' state. Plus it will shut up everyone complaining about it :D Then again, maybe not . I'm familiar with the pub suggestions topic and think it's a very nice idea. This way Ardougne will seem a little more like a real city, with actual places to go to except your house or work. But I'm surprised with the five pubs they chose for the poll. I've seen a few ideas which where quite a bit better (but hey, that's my opinion). This was my favorite, although I haven't browsed through all 47 pages: [hide=East of the West]Suggested name: East of the West Suggested NPCs: Captain Jack Robin (landlord), Blondie (barmaid), Jack Ripper, Jill Ripper, Frank Brief Description: Jack Robin: The charismatic ex pirate captain looked to settle down to the quiet life of the loud pub. After an adventurous life (although no one seems quite sure what he did, other than that it involved Manta Rays) he showed up one day with a large stash of treasure and bought the pub. Now he spends most of his time drinking, getting to know the regulars, and absolutely not working. "You remind me of someone I knew called Jack Sparrow" "Not a chance mate, I hate hats, I hate all hats. I don't even like your hat." Blondie. Named by a colourblind mother, this fiery redhead is a genius at getting money out of people and getting drunks out the door. Just as well she is smart since the landlords only contribution to the pub is making sure there is a steady through flow of drinks. Jack and Jill Ripper. As much opposites as twins could be. Jack is a notorious pickpocket, and if you talk to him you are likely to find yourself missing a coin or ten. Jill is her brothers conscience and will give it back to you luckily, so Jack's masterful advice on thieving isn't quite as overpriced as you may think Frank: He's been around the world, knows everyone, he's a great story teller, he can even dance and act (cutscene?). Everyone loves Uncle Frank. What? since when was he your uncle? well let me tell you an interesting story. It was way back when I was just a kid like you... At any rate he is on good terms with the landlord, he's never paid for a drink yet, and never left the pub in 20 years (so when did he do all these things he said?) Suggested beverage: Witchwater Brief Description: A popular drink brewed locally in Witchhaven. a profit can be made by people who are willing to run back and forth to supply the pub with the kegs of the beer. +2 defense, -1 attack. 10gp? Suggested beverage: Al-Khar-Pop! Brief Description: Ali Morrisan's latest invention, this easy drinking fizzy drink sells wildly. (possible addition to rogue trader?) +3 hp, 3gp. Suggested beverage: Beer it's cheap standard beer for those who cannot afford the good stuff. 1gp (bargain) Suggested snack: Manta Ray soup You could happily live on this for a year stranded on an island. Other notes: apart from the ever loud Frank (who would need new stories (and maybe hints at future updates) regularly, could be fun for the devs) and the rather woozie Jack Robin, the pub would be a mixmatch. A shadey meeting place, an merchant's stop off, a place for less piratey pirates, and a good place for guards to learn how to break up brawls (again, good for fun cutscenes). Furnishing should be a mix of sea relics, a couple certificates, and a giant giant stuffed manta ray: big enough to ride...? A pile of assorted broken furniture in the corner means people done have to break the good stuff, just pass around the table legs and pre-broken bottles. Also welcome the first pub smart enough to have quick closing shutters. A nice decoration would be a mounted table leg: the table leg Frank used to take down the great giant Tharg who attacked the pub 200 years ago...with eyes of flame, and wings like a demon...he laid waste to the whole city and his roar sank ships in the bay...oh how they were dark times... It would be nice to have some small profit (maybe similar to picking flax) for lugging the beer to witchhaven and the empty casks back. Afterall, just how are the pubs in RS supplied?[/hide] What I want the most in that pub is the feel of a cozy bar, with groups of npc's drinking and laughing, maybe one or two hooded figures smoking a pipe (Strider :?: ) and the ability for players to sit at a table. Although that could be difficult if several groups want to sit at the same table, but it's only a thought. Darkness outside while being in the pub could work, with warm lights around the room. But what am I blabbing, this isn't the suggestion topic. Bounty Worlds yay!

Grats to the both of you  I can't be at your party though, I'm heading to a party irl. But I just wanted to say that maxing in F2P is one of the things in RuneScape I respect the most =D>.

It's been a long time since I posted in this forum, but since I haven't got anything else to do... [hide=73 Defence][/hide] [hide=74 Defence][/hide]I'm just standing in the middle of a pack of flesh crawlers while being afk, why didn't I do this before? :D Now I can do my homework AND gain levels. Really nice, now I can (hopefully) rise from the levels of mediocrity and into the presence of higher beings (I'm looking at you Olly, mr. every-skill-99-except-slayer-which-he-is-training-now! =D> ).

My special runescape Idea for the summer =)
Although unaware of it, I've already been doing this most of my RS career \. I'm such a cheapskate that I pick everything up I see lying on the ground, and I forage for my own raw materials instead of buying them. Because why would you pay large sums of money for something you can get for free on your own, while getting free xp as a bonus? I know buying stuff saves you time, but I'd still rather skill for something than buying it. Plus, whenever I do a Quest I find that I already have most (if not all) of the needed items in my bank, saving me numerous trips to the GE :).

30th April 2009 - New Dwarf Quest: Diary 3
Your forgeting the scaper's #1 rule, if jagex mentions something it has to be true and can't be changed. I think these diarys are becoming better, but would like to see one on a new minigame. Not only would it be nice to see it devoloped but would give Jagex the chance for feedback as they're making it, providing a better launch. We can give feedback on this Quest too, they're only in the development stage.

How is a typical high lvl supposed to be like?
This. Some may say high levels are arrogant and short-sighted, but that's not how they're supposed to be like, only how some high levels really are.

Yeah, the Red Axe company manufactured Chaos Dwarves for the gnomish city of Arposandra. It ties in with the Eyes/Path of Glouphrie quest series. this sounds like a good way to wrap up 2 quest chains at once. yup, it's practically inevitable that these Dwarf quests will somehow further the Arposandra chain.

Tormented Demons..
I haven't done the quest yet and try to avoid spoilers, but my best guess would be that the Tormented Demons wear the armour pieces (maybe they're infused with them), and drop 'em when they die. You pick them up and smith them together to make a platebody. I don't think that the Dragon metall comes from the Demon itself.

Runescape's Strengths
Huta, may I congratulate you on this fine topic you made =D>. I've recently started playing WoW, just to try out and see what's it like. The scenery is really nice, with massive monsters, vast magical forests (future Zanaris?), deep dungeon and a nice view. But the Quests (and that is what I play MMO's for really) are horrible. They're exactly like you described. Kill some monsters, fetch some items, bleh :wall:. I'm sure I won't come back to it once my gametime expires. I'll stick with RuneScape, because here they have enjoyable Quests . P.S. What if RuneScape integrated the kind of 3rd person view WoW has? Could be interesting... :-k

Thammaron, a Mahjarrat?
I think it's a typo. The Desert Treasure quest (needed for the Ghostly Robes miniquest) was released on the 18th of April 2005, while Thammaron was introduced with The Golem quest on 11 Aril 2005, one week earlier. In the Golem it's already mentioned he's a "very powerful demon". Furthermore, on the Runescape duel cards it can be read that Thammaron is indeed an Elder Demon.

28th April 2009 - Summoning Upgrade and Hairstyles
EXACTLY :twss: No pools to close though, we can block doors if we have enough numbers :twss: :twss: Can we? Because that would be awesome  I never really understood the 'pool' part of this internet joke :twss: EDIT : I wonder what this is :?: I think it may be the new Desert Quest hinted at in the last Chaos Elemental letter. This week's article of the week is the Terrain Survival Guide, and last one's was Sophanem... Or it may be something completely different :P.

History and possible future of the Elves (theory)
I disagree with you there. The various actions possible in a quest are limited because this is a video game, but in my opinion there still is a lot variation. I think the Myreque storyline for example is a lot different to the Troll Quests or the Gnome storyline.

History and possible future of the Elves (theory)
Nobody knows for sure, but I don't think Seren locked the Library to prevent the Elves from entering. Why else would she have built it anyway? The Library is here for the Elves to use, but only for benign purposes. Maybe she locked it because there wasn't any real reason to keep it open after she departed. And she made the seals (instead of just destroying it) in case a situation would occur in which the knowledge the Library possesses is vital. In this case, an evil cult which wants to ressurect Zamorak...

History and possible future of the Elves (theory)
They all don't know it. Only the people who WRITE the storylines do.. I'm sure Paul & Andrew know a lot of their own game. Maybe not everything, but surely a lot. Anyway, thanks Felix :D
