  1. Edgeville is elvish? That's new for me lol.... Only minorlink from the old times is that it could be used as one of the beacons in the north from zaros' forces (which is explained in the quest from the camulet).. However i believe he mentions the ruins in wilderness with these towns.. I remember from somewhere that those ruins in Edge might be Elvish, I think it was in the Book on Baxtorian... It said that the kingdom of the Elves stretched as far as Edgeville or something like that. I'll do some research later.
  2. Undergound Pass, yeah :P Why is there a spelling error in a Jagex map? Anyway, I never knew the eastern desert was just glued onto the west side. Kinda funny, the sea just became the river Elid. And man, the desert really grew since this map, wow  Btw, I have a question, maybe you know this Dooku: The Underground Pass Quest was already created in RSC right? But the Elven Lands didn't exist back then... So how did the Quest end? And the tunnel system?
  3. And you get problems with when somebody is f2p. What if you've been a member, but currently f2p, and you decide to get a skill up to a high level, what hiscore should you be in, and how will they check? If Jagex looks at your status, you could get a 99 in members, then go f2p and be nr.1 in the f2p hiscores :?.
  4. I agree with Das that you can't really rely on the Charter Map, because it just 'smoothes' existing continents off. It could be that the Kharidian Desert really extends far to the south of Menaphos and Sophanem, and that Castle Drakan and Meiyerditch lie miles away from the eastcoast (which probably isn't really the case, as a book stated the castle stood in the middle of the continent, which it does already). And I bet the Oo'glog area wasn't on the charter map before it was implemented ;). By the way, I'm keeping my eye on this topic, as I share your love for maps :).
  5. Of course she is, she invented it 8-)
  6. Man this is an old topic! Btw wasn't this a sticky? :?
  7. Yay Sugarbahbee R back! Thought you retired, but of course I'm glad to see you return : Good luck on your goals, especially Fishing, it rocks Skillz4lyfe... (or something like that :P )
  8. Good luck on your goals Bloodkay, I'm planning to skill some f2p hawtness too, in the areas of Mining, Smithing & Woodcutting. Btw, congratulations on your birthday : (a tad late, but it's the thought that counts right?)
  9. That's my idea too. The current gnome quests aren't really hard enough for a reward as big as the Soul Altar, but if they add one or more hard ones, I think it would be logical. After all, Glouphrie is messing with the Anima Mundi, the 'Soul of the World'.
  10. I don't even think the mighty Facepalm is enough to describe how horribly noobish his friend was there. ...I say we break out the Headdesk. :ohnoes: Maybe this one?
  11. He's very active on the forums, and frequently posts replies to threads... But this could just be his "honeymoon" so to speak... His enthusiasm might peter off sometime soon... although he's already better in that respect than Iddison... I don't think Iddison even had a forums account... I never even heard of Iddison before he left. Me neither :? But that doesn't matter anymore now. I think that Mark being the new CEO is a good thing in itself, and even if some of the actions and content he promises won't come true, it's still better that nothing at all. His overall vision on what RuneScape's course should be sounds good, so at least one good thing will come out all of this. My compliments to N odie :) and Forsakenmage of course, his/her story really was a good one, and I can't wait for the next chapter(s).
  12. Keep up the good work Shahdie, I could only dream of getting to 99 Mining . Mainly because I can't stand dropping precious ore after ore while mining... I mean iron ore is worth 100 gp a piece, and the time is free! That's like... 100 gp profit per iron ore mined! ... Anyway, hope you make it to the end, I'll notice it when I see you at the top of the Mining hiscores :P.
  13. The next language should be wherever they have the most players from. That being said, Dutch is a much more likely candidate. Yay! But honestly, I think the guy above me has a point.
  14. Excellent guide you've written here Lady, I give it a 9/10 :. You know, I've seen you post a lot of times, but I never bothered to click the link in your signature. But now I've finally done it and it looks amazing . Mining really is the best skill out there .
  15. No to the east I think. You can see a 'corner' of Lletya to the southwest of the mine, and the north side of Lletya to the south of Clan Wars. So I think Clan Wars lies west of the mine.
  16. Those are trees of Tirannwn... Maybe they're close to the Gnomecopter Lletya?
  17. Yup :o [/hide] I'm not hearing much good about this game, but I'll test it myself when I get member again. In the meantime... Yay lands due west of Tirannwn! :
  18. If this is valid... it's freaking awesome =D> EDIT: I've been looking at the maps for a few minutes, and it looks good. Almost all our finds are one there, and sometimes we got it wrong and these things got it right. For example, the 'underground mountains' are the Agility Arena, and the cave west of the Troll Stronghold is the Kendal's Lair, visited during Mountain Daughter. Not the Slayer dungeon, that one lies below the Lair.
  19. When I read this I couldn't be happier  This man will (hopefully) turn RuneScape back into a cool, mature game, and f2p gets some of the action! And since I'm f2p most of the time, I can try a lot more of the updates whenever I want, and not in the timeframe of a single month. =D> Exactly what we need. For any employee of Jagex currently reading this: Please pass my congratulations on to mr. Gerhard for achieving such an influental position at Jagex, and I think I speak for the whole of Tipit when I say that we hope you are up to the job :
  20. Weird, I was thinking the same thing today, just out of nowhere... :P Would be cool to make a discussion here of tif, with pics of actors next to their ingame roles.
  21. Hippodo replied to Le_Fay's topic in General Discussion
I smell a possibility of the coveted Soul Altar : It's a Body Door, not a Soul one...
  22. Dark Beast Lair and Underground Pass both lie under the Arandar Mountains, but the lair is partly under West Ardougne, while the Pass is far more to the west of the city. If you look at it from below too, that part of the Pass should lie west of the Temple of Light, which lies west of the Lair.
  23. I'm no good in this sort of stuff, but one thing I'd like to point out is this: the letter was written bij Zelda2144, while the Chaos Elemental wrote a reply to Ganondorf7769. I've never played any Zelda games, but Wikipedia tells me that Ganondorf is the archenemy of Zelda, and that he seeks a relic of the gods, which can bestow great power upon it's holder. ... Sounds familiar? :P
  24. I realize this was probably done in MS paint or something, but it's too much land in too little space. I like it anyway  Kudos to the guy who made it \ (if it isn't Nameles). I love this map, it has almost everything: Eastern Lands, Acheron, Kudos Isle, Morytania expansions, huge deserts, the mystery continent west of the elves! Six continents added . Plus the mystery continent is both connected to the mainland, AND sealed off from it, if Jagex places some sort of obstacle on the link. And I can see why some people say it's too much land in too little space, but as long as the continents don't get stuffed with cities etc and stay a little barren and unexplored, I think this might work :.
  25. Check the pages again daxter, a screenie has already been posted :P For some people who haven't got it yet (like killerbeer), with a 'plane' people in Gielenor usually mean a plane of existence, also known as a dimension. It tells us nothing about the shape of the landmasses encountered in those dimensions. But what can be said is that Gielenor is round, like a globe. This is a fact. The only reasons the 'gameworld' isn't spherical are because it's really hard/impossible to program the floor to be spherical, and all the buildings with it, and because the current map is to tiny compared to the complete planet's surface, that we as humans can't even see the planet is round. Just like Earth. I like the idea of being able to circle the globe, but the map needs to be much bigger before the east links to the west. And doing so means Jagex can't add anymore land on either side, unless you keep moving the border between east and west. Too much hassle I would say, and it creates tough problems. Finally, I don't know why a discussion about Guthix popped up, but let me say this: Guthix is not interested in followers. Other gods are, because the amount of followers determines the amount of power a god has. This is not the case with Guthix, as he gets his power from the very essence of the world. Maybe this is why Guthix doens't want Gielenor destroyed, because it is not only his 'creation' (before him it was a bare rock), but also his source of power.
