Limewire shut down
I live in a place where literally everything is sold cheap... hence the opportunity cost. I'm not sure we're on the same page when referring to "opurtunity cost" I sit at my computer for like 6 hours a day [not doing anything]. This 'costs' me sleep, as when something more important comes up, I go do it. During this time, I could be spending it [value of 0] I could be pirating music/games/programs [benefits of said objects]. So...I'm not losing anything. All economic aspects look black to me. Also, if you were to go and buy the album, you'd be spending gas money to get to the store and back, money on the CD itself, and time getting to/frmo the store, uploading the data, converting the data, and standing in line purchasing said CD. What takes me 10minutes of time I would have spent doing/spending nothing, it sounds like you'd rather pay 15-20minutes & ~$10 for the same thing. My time/money is more valuable to me I guess.

Limewire shut down
Well, I live in a place where they sell CD's and stuff like that for extremely cheap prices. In terms of opportunity cost it's better to just buy the thing rather than spend a huge amount of time trying to figure out how in the world do you get this configured. Also I never pirate games. Reason? They freeze, ALL THE FREAKING TIME. But I guess music is a different story... You sir, are obviously a terrible pirate. "how in the world you get this configured" literally takes 10 minutes to download the proper client, 2 minutes to install it, and every download there after album-wise usually takes all of 5 minutes. Games, while they take longer and sometimes don't function properly without a better understanding of sub-programing/batchfiles/virtual CD's, usually only take an hour or so to download, and work perfectly fine given your PC can handle it. Also - cheap albums that are actually good are either mad old, or don't exist.

Consumerism thread
Dude! What country do I have to live in to spell "tire" as "tyre"? That's awesome! Almost as cool as Burnt and Armour anywho...I'm still searching for my car, so I'll have to post about my mom's Toyota Siena Le [minivan]. Not 100% sure of the year model, but it's probably about 10 years old or so now, and other than some transmission issues from time to time, it's a very nice in-town vehicle. Also, I'm not 100% of the price. I imagine because we got it used it was in the 10k-15k range. It was fairly new when we got it. Most of the issues we've had with it were user induced [mostly me and my crazy ass driving haha]

Today I went out and picked up 4 new Starstrike Blast booster packs [yugioh TCG] and got the two cards i wanted most on the first two packs. Sweet deal. Then I hunted the new ADTR album down for 2 hours, until finally I found it, bought it and haven't stopped listening to it since <33333333333

Philosophy, Riddles and complete mind[bleep]s
person[a] has surgery preformed on them, where their brain is split directly down the corpus callosum, but both halves retain continuity of the original's psychology [all thoughts, memories, sensations, characteristics, mannerisms, and personality traits] THEN one half of the brain is transplanted into a body that is taken from the same DNA as person[a] so that person[a] now has half a brain and person has the other half. Which is the original identity? Both, neither, [a] or ?

Body Modification?
Traditionally I 'should' feel that your bosy is on lend from God, and you should treat it with respect. ... but honestly, Gods got 6 billion of these things, and he can always make more if he wants, so I say do whatever. Not everything in the "whatever" category looks particularly attractive, but to each his own. Nothing turns me on like a girl with a belly button ring though. I, myself am contemplating a tattoo of a phoenix with the caption "Heart Means Everything" alas, my body has no area large enough that I desire to adorn with such a design as of yet. But it will happen one day. And if gauges weren't so permanent I'd do that too, but I'd like to think I can get a real job one day.

A Day to Remember: What Separates Me From You
I was first to update the lyricwiki page, so I figure it was my duty to be the first to post it here. Starting off with the basics, ADTR has gone through only a slight few lineup changes since their formation in Florida in the year 2003. They've been signed to Indianola Records, but were quickly discovered by Voctory Records while touring with On the Last Day. What Separates Me From You is their fourth studio album, following 2009's Homesick. Since Homesick, ADTR has changed out guitarists for one Kevin Skaff, formally of Four Letter Lie. Tom Denney has moved on to be his own producer, and is currently working with bands such as We Are Defiance [check them out, they're incredible]. The latest album has been released today [11/16/10] with two singles already previiously released found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaNwItqNi50 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqPbk8Rdoq0&feature=related I'm personally going to buy this album in less than 12 hours, as soon as stores open. I've long awaited it, and from the sound of things its going to be even heavier than previous albums. Very exciting stuff. Can't Wait :D Anywho else appreciate ADTR here on TIF? I'm assuming I'm their biggest fan representation here, but I figure i could spread the word a bit right? Keep moshing :shades:

Your Holy Trinity
You're engaged? When did that happen? WHY DID YOU NOT TELL THE RELATIONSHIP THREADDDDD? This. Congrats, though. :D Because I half-expected you guys to yell at me. Or at least type violently. :ohnoes: It's a really informal engagement, as I'm 17 and she's 15. And by really informal, I mean our parents don't know and we can't even legally get married right now. But we both can't see our futures without the other, so we've both proposed to each other several times for fun, even if we also meant it seriously. Basically, I was afraid of getting remonstrated for over-commiting to such a young relationship. After all, high school couples ending up marrying isn't really the norm. But yeah, if Tip.it still exists in 8 years, I'll invite you all to the wedding. I was engaged once. Hope it turns out better for you than it did for me haha Best of luck with that

Mistakes
Burnout Revenge is among my favorite games of all time, and I would never pay more than $45 for it. Especially now that its going on 6 years old. Compared to 3, it sucks. Hard. I disagree. Revenge 5 3 Dominator 2 1 I haven't played 1, 2 or 5/Paradise. But it's 3 > Dominator > Revenge for me. Dem opinions. I take it you don't like blowing [cabbage] up as much as I do. I didn't have enough fun with Dominator. EVERYTHING made you crash. Which wasn't good for your times. But in Revenge, crashing was a good thing and made you faster. Not to mention the soundtrack was 1000x better.

Consumerism thread
I'm thinking a week is a long time for a thread like this to remain unchanged. I thought this was going to be more along the lines of "post what you bought this week, and tell us about it". But anyway... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Beats+by+Dr.+Dre+-+Monster+High-Definition+Over-the-Ear+Noise-Canceling+Headphones/8913606.p?id=1214611180610&skuId=8913606 Honestly, these bad boys are sick, but for $300...unless you're really into sound, you're money is best spent elsewhere

Yea. I love that kind of music, the dichotomous kind. However, only to a certain point, when you get to death metal songs about baking brownies for your tea party, it gets stupid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9u5O97QhUhQ i disagree. I find Humor-core hilarious. Especially Pyshcostick XD

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Yeah, avoid cliche'd answers. "I love your eyes" isn't going to cut it. "I love the way your eyes light up whenever you see me from accross the room" I a little more personal. Make each thing connected to her idiosyncrasies. Make them her own. "I love the way you listen to me ramble on and on about music, even though I know you hate the music i listen to" is an example from mine. Acknowledges appreciate. That sorta stuff.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
the hipster in me is being driven up a wall, but I'm sure she'll like it. Can't say I haven't done it myself to win a heart.
