  1. Mind if I use your pictures for the quest guide? I forgot to switch to HD for my pics, so yours are of much better quality. You will be credited.
  2. I'm going to have to agree. I am only 75 fishing, but I was getting about 16k xp an hour. There's no way the experience can increase that drastically to make the lava eels worth it.
  3. Poke fixed it but forgot to lock. Thanks for the submission!
  4. Dragon arrows > rune arrows Within reason, broad-leaf arrows are the best. That's what lucipher6 and aasiwat used to 200m fletching.
  5. First 2 kills of the day: See inventory, I was an idiot and missed both pics somehow.
  6. Wrong forum. Are you f2p? If so, go with saradomin. It's the 'status symbol' armor of f2p.
  7. Melee is fastest dharoking unless you are training defence. That would be 170k with red chins at Ape Atoll.
  8. That's low. Really low. I really can't hold an educated argument with someone with this level of respect. Once again. You flung mud, but didn't want it thrown at you. There's a difference between telling someone to study up on their economics and making a personal insult to someone's intelligence. I was just fine with you telling me to study economics... I've only taken a year of it, and I still believe my arguments hold water. When you say I won't understand something, though... that's no longer insulting simply knowledge of economics.
  9. That's low. Really low. I really can't hold an educated argument with someone with this level of respect.
  10. First of all, the demand curve is only completely flat if the demand is perfectly elastic. Because no demand can ever be perfectly elastic (unless it has an equal substitute, which this does not), the line will always curve at least slightly downward. We both agree that, if the demand curve is sloping downward, the prices will rise when supply falls. And I lost all respect when you said "kthxbye." You went from an educated person debating with me to an arrogant person having an argument.
  11. Demand is not influenced by supply. The price, however, will rise as supply decreases. It's not just me saying that... that's a law of economics.
  12. Not walk-in, but my first 2 kills of the day. What are the chances? Well, assuming it's around a 1/200 chance of an armor drop, its 1/40,000. Yeah...
  13. death666blooms, I think he is referring to the fact that a partyhat cannot rise unless it is supplied. There can be enough demand for an item to make the price rise, yet if a transaction does not occur, the GE is not given the opportunity to raise the price of the item. This is why items that are "unbuyable" rarely rise- because people rarely sell them, not because there is a decrease in demand. And actually, yes, it does. Please take economics before you lecture us about supply and demand. In the short run, demand for the item does not change, although quantity demanded does.
  14. The GE has messed with partyhat prices so much... they can't rise or fall normally, and the 1% isn't enough breathing room for the items. I'm really hoping they expand it back to 5% or the hats will always remain either very difficult to buy or very difficult to sell.
  15. Wow, great read. As to your point about a single spawn point defining a boss monster, I completely agree. I will even go as far as to say that, partly due to this, I find that the tormented demon is not a boss monster. If mithril dragons are not considered boss monsters, which they aren't in your judgment, tormented demons can't be considered boss monsters. Both have multiple spawns, very high risk, are relatively easy to solo, and have unique drops.
  16. As more of a "gameplay > graphics" kind of person, I'm ready for some new content updates, yet I still love what they're doing with the graphics. It's these little changes that can add together to really improve the overall gaming experience.
  17. I have looked all over and can't find any information about this. The next two times I farm my cactus, I'll time it. Until then, good luck.
  18. Eh, not completely true. There is an activity on Wall Street called "short selling": basically, you "borrow" shares of a dropping stock from a broker or another source, and you sell the stock, and buy it back after it has fallen. You return the stock and pocket the difference. I'm sure the same thing could be [riskily] done with the Grand Exchange: a whole bunch of BGS owners could sell minimum, and once all of their swords are sold and the price is lower, they can buy back, and they'll have cash and their old sword. True; it could be done; but probably never will be. Short selling in runescape is impossible simply because there is no such thing as borrowing or credit, and what you suggest is not short-selling. Merchants only make item prices drop AFTER they make them rise (you would see a [bleep]e in the price before the drop).
  19. Camping abyssal demons doesn't train slayer, now does it? Oh gosh, a circular argument. The answer is RUNECRAFT, please. The OP's question was answered, for goodness sake.
  20. In addition to the above guide (which is awesome), if you are having problems with dropping, refer to the following post: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=793461&p=6635425#p6635425
  21. I'm not really looking forward to what they might do to stop it though. I could see them reducing how many items can be bought every 4 hours.... It would be even worse on the skillers than the merchants because then we wouldn't be able to train as quickly. :x I would be just fine with being able to buy or sell each combat item one time every 24 hours. This would effectively terminate the armor/weapon merchanting market. The skilling market would be much harder to hammer down... possibly a longer than 4 hour ban on reselling items?
  22. Camping abyssal demons is slower moner than runecrafting double nats by a pretty wide margin. Heck, it's slower money than some monsters you can kill without any slayer at all. I've been told that green dragons and aviansies are faster cash than any slayer monster. Actually I make more money at demons than at aviansies or green dragons. 1 whip about every 3 hours. You do the math cuz im 2 lazee 1.4m/3 = 467k per hour. That's half of what you make doing nats. The answer is simple: Slayer is not better money, statistically, than runecrafting. You may get a whip drop in 5 minutes, but this will statistically even out into a much lower profit per hour.
