  1. Oh yeah, let's all ignore UN's opinion (which, coincidently, is the opinion of the representatives from all around the world). The US's opinion is so much more important, after all, imagine how many nukes would be exploding all over the world right now if the dangerous Iraqi nuclear program hadn't been gloriously stopped.
  2. South Korea reported a 3.8 degrees earthquake, so yes, it it true.
  3. And the fact that most bigger than earth are gas giants :P *Scratches head* Isn't Neptune the only gas planet we have? Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune*
  4. Is which do you prefer a new sentence you've learnt today at school?
  5. King Crimson - In The Court of The Crimson King
  6. This is something Daan, thanks for sharing. :) I've probably listened to half of those albums or so. The first ones with people on their covers are the ones I haven't listed to. Have you?

What happens to the other 10%? My parents don't know much about me, however, they don't think they have to. In their minds, I'm responsible enough to take my own decisions and accepting their results.

I for one would definitely give up screen size to play with friends in the same room ;) Yeah, socializing is good. At times.
  10. Every time I see that car one word comes to my mind: minivan.
  11. When I first looked at the thread, I thought of neo-nazi metal.
  12. Haha so true. :P If you type in Rick Wakeman on #darkwebz, the link to that picture will automatically pop up. Anybody has a new one?
  13. Not like it's a new internet chain too.
  14. The ceiling bacteria is watching you macro.
  15. That's why you are here, posting, and the Coke CEO is sailing his yacht across the Atlantic.
  16. The idea here is basically pick a random artist's picture, modify it in any way you want and post some hints about him/her. The person who guesses the name will get the right to post the following artist, and so goes the game. :) Well, let me start it off with an easy one. He used to play on a quite mainstream prog rock band. This band was, at the time, what we could call the closest rival of one of the most progressive bands ever. P.S: don't forget to name your files in a way people can't see the artist's name. :P
  17. I actually enjoy well produced TV ads, my only problem is with infomercials. Those things really drive me nuts, specially because they take over all the good channels on the TV during the morning. :(
  18. Am I disqualified from being a good flamer because I had to look up the definition of perspicacity? I've never even heard of that word. One major mistake "good" flamers make is using "big words" to get their point through. Just because you typed Antidisestablishmentarianism or Floccinaucinihilipilification on an online forum, it doesn't mean your IQ just rose by 50 or your post achieved heavenly status. Ha! The last statement is perhaps the best thing I've heard so far in this thread! Its SO true. These so called "smart" flamers try to set up proverbial walls by acting like they are uber-smart. They overexplain and embelish(sp?) to no end. Just another part of the "I'm better than you" attitude that has, thankfully, come to light in this last few posts. Or maybe because perspicÃÆÃâÃâácia is a fairly used word in portuguese, and the literal translation for it would be perspicacity. My first eye-rolling in over a year. Congratulations.

  20. Me too, in the simple things of life, like letting someone get off or on the bus before you do. I would never take a bullet or anything extreme for someone I don't care enourmously much for. Yeah, you guys and Ricky Gervais. :P
  21. That's not good flaming, Daan. I belive there are only 2 or 3 good flamers in this forum, and I'm not one of them, if that's what you understood I meant. Good flaming takes great amounts of intelligence, sense of irony and perspicacity.
  22. Wrong. Carbon 14 never disappears completely from the things it's in. If you look at a C14 graphic, you'll see it tends to 0, but never reaches it. After half life, half the amount wares off, then after another half life there's only 25% left, then another half life and 12.5% left, and so successivelly. This way, you can date things at any age, theorically. If it's not possible to date something, it isn't because the method is flawled, nor because the object to be dated have gotten too old. It's because we don't have sufficient technology to measure the amounts left. Because there is still C14 in there. Isn't there another method of dating we use when we can longer measure the C14? I'm vaguely familiar with this information but I always forget about it when I try and remember... Of dating older things more precisely, probably.
  23. You promise?
