Day 3-5: Since I finished the 1k bronze bar goal, I moved on to the 2k steel bar goal to make my final goal of 85 mine/smith easier. Today (Day 5) I finished a part of the goal... 2k iron. Just have to get 4k coal now. Which will be more than 2x as hard. Levels: 50 Mining 33 Smithing Not sure where mining will be after 4k coal is finished. Probably higher than 60, but not by much. After I finish smelting the 2k bars I'll be at 43 smithing, then once I actually smith them... I have no idea.. :-k Comments appreciated \

Congrats, only 3 levels to go. I'm also going for 85 mining in f2p, but I'm trying to get 85 smithing too, so it'll be tough.... pm Beast Fable if you want to chat. Anyway good luck with your goal :)

Day 2 Finished smelting and smithin' the 1000 bars, pretty much my first ore goal. (don't ask regarding the dance :shock: ) (what?? i can wear a skirt, there's no law against it :anxious: ) So stats are now: 39 Mining 33 Smith So just incase anyone wanted to know... if you start at lvl 1 in both skills and mine/smelt/smith 1000 bronze bars, that's what you're lvls will be. Anyway, my next milestone will be 2k steel bars. So that's 2000 iron and 4000 coal... oh well, nothing i can't handle... :lol:

What exactly does this mean? I remember in the last few months of f2p classic pkers kept talking about pids, and how the higher number you have the better you were as a player... :? Was this created by jagex and never used or did the autoers create it? I think it stands for player id, but what was it all about? Thanks.

Well, this char was originally supposed to be a pker but for some reason I decided I wanted to try to get 85 Mining and smithing on F2P. Day 1 Decided to start by mining 1000 tin and copper, finished that but unfortunately no pics of it. From level 1, it took me to lvl 32 mining to mine the 1000 tin. From there the 1000 copper jumped my level up to 39. I'm currently smelting all the ores, it'll take a while to do but with patience I'll get it done. Levels at time of writing: 39 Mining 11 Smithing My First Goal: Although my ultimate goal will be 85 of both skills as said above, the first goal will be of course 60 Mining for the guild. After that point of time I think things will be considerably easier. -------------------------------------- And yes... I know it's a long way to go... but I'm not going to stop just because of that. :-s Cheer me on and leave comments if you'd like. :thumbsup:

Names I encountered in my RSC years worth mentioning: Party Pete (My friend's account, Jagex might have deleted/banned it because of there being a Party Pete in the Party Hall... I screenied a pic of him and me but I can't find it!! grr :wall: ) The Man PK (Saw him training at Varrock guards at about lvl 54 in full black) Eat My 2H (A pking rival of mine, I always had M2h, she had A2h, and I beat her every time... I miss her wherever she is) All I can think of right now... may add more as I remember them.. and although I never saw him, I can remember someone telling me about A Black Man... so when he ranged you it said, "Warning! A Black Man is shooting at you!" :lol: Gotta love that one.

Good goals, but the hp will be a lot higher than that. My pure is 71 Ranging, combat 49, has 60 HP, and just 1 mage. Your 70 mage and range will be at least in the early 60s and your combat will be higher, probably around 52 or something.. I'm no expert but that sounds about right... Meh, you'll make it fine, if you're only at 27 ranged you shouldn't be worried, it really doesn't take that long. I got from lvl 1 to 70 in f2p alone in a few months. Just know the right places to train, take breaks to pk and make friends. That's how I got it. Probably got half of my XP by pking alone...

One of the first things I did was try to train ranged, went to blues and got hit by a 36 and died on my first day. Forgot to bring an antifire shield. :x

You're not wrong. Noobs will say those things because they want everything for themselves. Same thing happens to me at Al Kharid Warriors every single time.

I always give presents to random people, whether they're new or ever members. For instance I just gave someone 9k randomly today. :? But I've given better stuff. I've quit twice, the first time I dropped a r2h (in classic) and the second I dropped full rune. It's nice to see them get excited when they get it. :)

I remember there being two keys as well... My guess is they removed it, but I suppose it's possible for someone who switched their acc over to Rs2 when there were still two.

Oh, I've seen a lvl 54 named 'Happy' in f2p. He was training at the fenced in lesser.

So have you hit 32 yet? I calced a max hit with you stats and it says 33... Is that the max hit in f2p?

That's a big part of the problem. The other problem is the player killing aspect to Runescape. A couple of years ago China banned PKing because the children were getting too addicted to it. It was a problem for the people that couldn't control the game. I'm the same way. I have a ps2 and I never get addicted to console games. I am however addicted to Runescape and trying to stop the habit. :wall:

Sorry for double posting, but if there aren't any say so. I'm getting that impression but I wanted to be sure so we can move on. I was hoping for a safe spot at Greaters or Ice Giants or something?

In most cases I would run if I know I can't win and don't want to waste any more time or lobs on it. However I'll never run if: - It's a DM. - I am pking with my clan. And I never tele.

^ Topic. Basically I'm wondering if there are any good spots, better than lessers on Karajma, that a range pure can train at. I don't care about being pking.

I used to do it in RSC, I think the reason some people don't do it anymore is that someone will type 4443, just to get your hopes up and ultimately dissapoint you.

Exactly... noobs have already come, and would have continued to come even if this hadn't happened. Their noobs, they're new to the game. What makes them any different if they come from Miniclip or another game site? Thinking about making a rant about this. I'm sick of people constantly jumping on the bandwagon and saying that all noobs come from Miniclip.

Spender. Whenever I get even 150k I blow it all on one of my pures for arrow, runes or food. :mrgreen:
