  1. Terley, send the admin a note on Copyright Infringement and how it works. ;) Even if your sig wasn't copyrighted, he doesn't look too intelligent and we can only hope he won't notice. :D
  2. Wow, awesome work so far. The rear is a unusually large, but only by a few pixels. I just hope you clean up your edges for the final. :)
  3. I was thinking of the Intuos3, probably size 6x8. My current Graphire is small and easy to pack, so I would probably keep it to travel with (ie: weekend residences).

Why don't you just change the subject to "Post your favourite abstract sig"? It seems that's all you're interested in... Problem solved? :)
  5. I'm thinking of getting one of the Intuos tablets (currently using a very old and broken GraphireI). But now I'm wondering - is the GraphireIII better?
  6. Great composition and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the lighting and cast shadows isn't correct and a lot of the linework seems sloppy. The stroking is too light IMO, and isn't giving enough emphasis on the characters. And it looks like you're trying to cram too much detail into such small spaces - like the face of the man on the bottom. I love the rich textures on the floor and walls, simple but very effective. Keep it up, hope to see more from you. :)
  7. You should really PM admins or moderators at RHQ, they will be more than pleased to take care of it as quickly as possible (rules are well enforced at rhq). Give them links to the profiles of the owner, creator, and the ripper and they will sort it out.
  8. Very neat. :) Only suggestion I'd make is to cut back on so many blacks, it gets a bit too dark down there at the bottom of the building. And the text is pretty weak aswell...

90% of his arguments are flawed or unrelated. See my reply to his post on off-topic. A theory is a speculation. My theory was made up of inference; it's just a big "if". I've found information left by JKR which I thought could be interpreted as clues. If you have facts or statements that contradict my speculations, I'd love to hear them. I have removed the possibly false info on James' Patronus. The rest will remain until proven incorrect. And I believe that he is one, that was, after all, the point of my theory. I see this argument going nowhere, and there is no point for you to try and drag it back up every time my theory is mentioned. ON TOPIC: Here are two of the best sigs I've seen. Nothing close to what can be achieved through paintings or drawings, of course...
  10. Aw :( Best put a link to the original wings there aswell, if you didn't draw them I can't really see what you did except merge two pictures together. Nice touchups on the stock photo! Even though it's still blurry, it sure looks a lot cleaner. :)
  11. Wow, you drew the wings? They are nice. The stock pick was really poorly taken, and the text isn't too flattering, but otherwise it's nice. :)

Ah, the shield isn't looking good at all, it looks very basic and the dragon design looks blurry. Maybe using Splines would be better for that, if you aren't worried about polycount. The lighting doesn't look right either. I think lighting like that only seems to work on glass materials, and even that had it's flaws (although still nice, I thought).
  13. That's cool, I like the gradient effect. :) But some of the lines are too thick for my tastes, and others seem to be spotty with some sort of texture on it (near the bottom) making them look more like brush strokes and less like vector. Fresh idea. :)

How about pencil drawings? :) Or do you just wanna see some rip-render grunge abstracts compacted into a busy 400x200 canvas made up of no design or artistic skill whatsoever? :( Because, to be honest, they make really bad sigs, and even worse graphics. [link]
  15. I feel the same. It's amazing, but has lots of minor flaws, and gets very busy in the middle. The composition is weak; clashing colours and shapes everywhere and the eye isn't drawn to any impressive point in particular. I'd have to say that the worst problem is the lack of cast shadows, nothing looks grounded to the floor. Astonishing characters and great job on the rocks, nevertheless. :) I just don't think the final piece was pulled together as well as you could have, it looks dwarfed next to the massive amounts of detail on the characters.
  16. What tablet do you use tttia? Nice flower, but it looks like it still needs a lot of work, especially around the edges (refining + highlighting). Good bear btw :) I'll try and see if I can get some sort of angels drawing in soon, I'm about to go out and buy some graphite supplies (blenders, yay!). :D

Awesome rendering stuff here. :) What program did you model them in? And in what r/s did you render it in? Keep it up, hope to see more from ya. :)
  18. Great colours.. A little blurry though.
  19. Nope, it's right at 0. Not that it matters though, I think I cropped out all my water. There goes my chances of winning by default. :P
  20. for fun. :) Maybe i'll win by default or something...
  21. (based on blue signature) Awesome texturing, solid pose and some nice details. The foreshortening is a little off, and the fingers are a little large, but otherwise the body looks really great. The other problem is the hands and hair, even if he's wearing things that are "white", you still shouldn't make them pure white. They should still receive shadows as much as any other object. I love your style, keep it up. I don't think I can be too helpful over MSN, I'm not much of a pixeler myself.
  22. This isn't a bad idea, but I think strong post-alterations should be aloud. I think this has already been mentioned, but I'll say it again. The program can get some nice results alone, but it's really limited (especially without your own terrain). With paintings, colour adjustments, additions, etc. we can get some potentially fantastic (and very unique & original) results, unlike those we would usually expect from terragen. Of course, this would have to have huge limitations, like no stock planets or downloaded resources allowed. Looking forward to entering in this. :) PS: Does the terrain come with it's own texture map?
  23. No. A true vector image isn't made up of pixels, so you wouldn't be able to do this in Photoshop (which is raster-based) The most you could do to make a true vector in photoshop would be to make paths, and export them to a vector-based program such as Illustrator. But since it's impossible to publish your vectors as images on the net (in jpg/gif/png form, at least).. Nobody is too strict about how true the vector is. But still - if you want to make a vector, the very least you have to do is make it entirely by using the pen tool. Most people refer to photoshop "vectors" as Vexels. These are still created with the pen tool, aswell as a couple other tools. -- Anyways, this is still pixel, and very bland. Linework isn't bad, I guess, but it needs a lot more work. The stuff in the back is so difficult to notice that it looks like a mistake.
  24. Hey GreatSilverWyrm. Thanks for taking the time to debate my points. Here is my response: Seeing as how JK Rowling has not even written book 7, any theories we make would be based on inferences. My theory is based on assumptions, but I think much of it makes a lot of sense. -- It may not prove that he is an Animagus, but it seems that if he was one, it would be logical that his Animagus form would be that of a phoenix. The animal that Dumbledore has been most closely linked to throughout the series has been the phoenix. My point exactly! Dumbledore, when he "burned", basically spontaneously combusted. He was not set on fire. Yes! I agree with you that he died. I also believe, however, that he, like a phoenix, may have risen from the ashes, giving us the hope that he may return in book 7. Exactly. His body had weakened considerably and, without an antidote, was continuing to weaken right up until his death. So you are saying, that because Dumbledore has an affinity for phoenixes, he will become a phoenix? Your logic would have to work in both cases, would it not?
