You can't compare them anyways. There is technical skill and artistic skill. Technical is just how well can you use a program, or draw something, or set the settings on your camera. Artistic skill is how well you can actually create a moving image, or a well balanced image or one that makes the user think. Two different things that you can't compare.

I would first get rid of Norton and instead download Avira. Then scan with it (don't worry, the program is 100% free) and see if anything comes up. It sounds like a virus.

Stop putting out the "lol 2.1k DPS" number out of your [wagon]. That was 5 minutes after being 80 in a PvP spec. I'm still "raiding" (PUG's) in a PvP spec, and I still out DPS most people in those PUG's so it doesn't matter. Yes I did kara in blues with my guild, yes it was not that hard of a raid instance. No I did not do sunwell (quit before we went there) nor did I do Illidan (quit before we got there). Yes, raiding is easy. If you want to cry about nerfed content than you should set your sights back all the way to TBC because that is where it started mate. Not like I really care, it's all lolpve anyways. And I could get a raiding guild with everything on farm (yeah easy I know) if I wanted to. They're my old guild I was in. Point is, I don't want to join a raiding guild because they aren't fun. I'm actually guildless right now and I intend to keep it that way. PS: Anyone can do 2.6k DPS if you just one shot a rat. It's mathematically impossible to do 2.6 sustained in greens @ 73 unless you are doing some really [developmentally delayed]ed AoE pulls. (This was single target, boss). Not like my DPS matters anyways, my build isn't built around DPS but survivability in PvP. (60/0/11 arcane/frost) I'm sure if I went frostfire and mindlessly hit Living Bomb > Frostfire 5x > Living Bomb than I could pull loldps numbers too. (Given we have another mage scorch stacking). You act like PvE, and PvE DPS, is hard when it isn't. Sorry.

Insane, 2.1k DPS 5 minutes after being level 80, yes. In a PvP spec. :) Now it's up to 2.6k in pvp spec. I hate dealing with raiding guilds. Set times, all that jazz, it's annoying. For once it is great knowing I can raid when I want to and not to some set schedule. And stop acting like TBC was hard, it wasn't. It just took 25 non [developmentally delayed]s to do well who had the time to practice an encounter. So yeah, I like WoTLK so far. Plus this is the equivilent of T4 content from TBC, and kara was never a hard raid and gruuls, well, he needed to be nerfed. Chances are blizzard just set him up so difficult to act as a roadblock so they could get more content out the door. The only hard fight in TBC was Kael'thas. (Pre and Post nerf). So yeah, QQ raider boy. :)

I like wrath better so far. For one, I like that I don't need to join a raiding guild to get some gear right now. Yeah the contents easy, QQ. Of course this is from the perspective of someone who isn't an lolraider (although I've done plenty of content) so of course it is different. PvP is bursty right now, reminds me of Diablo II PvP. Blizzard seems to have a plan to fix it though.

You haven't been here long. This is starting to feel much more like the older days. @ Lionheart: People do lack an ear for music though, and inherently go for that which has a catchy beat or tune. It doesn't matter the genre, and you don't need to have an ear for a specific genre. A musician I think would know a lot better what is good and is not good when it comes to music. There is an eye to art. Now, granted, there are two sides for this. For one, this is a commercial piece. That means that it's aim is to please the average consumer (whoever that happens to be, in this case). That means chances are they don't know how to properly critique an image, or what is "good" and "bad". Granted, the average person may be able to choose what image is more eye popping or attracting (key component in commercial artwork) but in a more artsy piece I don't think a lot of people have a real eye for it. I'm not saying that any non artist is stupid, or that they don't know good art from bad art. I'm just saying that the average person may be drawn to something flashy, not something artistically good. It's the tone LP is taking with us first. This I agree with 100%. Plus, it's not like LP is the only artist here to have made money from artwork. DementedHero has made a lot of cash from T-Shirt designs (which are incredible), Hiim has made money commissioning pixel art. Hell, technically I have made money doing web design (although it was an internship, it still follows under the idea of graphic design) for my stuff. The point is, LP really doesn't have any ground to be as elitist as he does when there are plenty of users here, even in the Gallery, that know much better than he does. The fact that LP completely disregarded any sort of copyright laws (I don't give a [cabbage] if it says you can use it, there are laws for this stuff!) really backs up the "5 year old" statement, it really does. Yaff I don't think you realize how easy it is to do what he has done here. I know the technique LP uses (focuses heavily around Gradient Layers) and it's crazy easy to do, you can pop out colors like this in 15 minutes without any real artistic work done to it. Now, I have a few questions for LP: Question 1: What are the butterflies for. Are they the cover of the program? Are they just some pretty picture? Question 2: If they are the cover of the program, how are you printing this? I'd hope you wouldn't just do a digital print (would look unprofessional) and the colors are much too varied to do a normal print with something like offset. (Plus there is a lot of color, which means a lot of money for the ink) Question 3: How is the program going to be laid out? Do you have your sizes figured out? Really I'm curious what the hell this is actually going to be used for. I don't think it would work very well at all as a cover for a funeral program for a number of reasons, some which I have already talked about. The actual piece is pretty amateurish in nature however. But everyone else has already covered that and I don't feel like typing a paragraph explaining why.

I agree, this is great news. I know that those who are against abortion are going to be whiny about it, but it's only for the better. And, really, if a person is irresponsible enough to get pregnant then not tell their parents about it when they are underage, well, I don't think they should really be having that baby. And I find it wrong that some people think a teen should have to have the child as a "lesson".

I guess it depends. On my server we have a lot of really geared tanks and I don't think someone would let a lower geared tank MT (like I said he could just OT) a PUG. He could deal with a guild, but most generally have a designated geared MT...

The problem is they are looking for a well geared tank or healer. Once you get gear you can probably go ahead and off tank at least. Also somewhat related but just got 2600DPS sustained on archavon in 25m Vault. Decent for a PvP spec, 3 day old mage.

First of all, while gearing for a tank is fine I would stay DPS for instances and raids. Tanks really need top end gear to be considered. For a tank make sure you reach the defensive cap, and then work on avoidance and HP. Second, on my mage, I got away with doing maybe a couple of heroics (got a weapon) before I did a naxx 10 and vault raid(s) pug. Did just fine, as long as you can pull 2k dps you can get in any pug. (Naxx 10 the other day I did 2.2k dps over the entire run) Hell, as long as you can really do like 1600-1700 you'll fare fine. Naxx 10, OS and vault are all crazy [bleep]ing easy raids. Really just try and get naxx 10 pugs and stuff. ps: I'm almost at the hit cap now, 229 w/o food.

First of all, even if something is bad it can still be considered art, just not good art. But can video games be examples of great artwork? I think so, yes. One of the big things that video games can take advantage of is they have a new way of telling a story that no other medium can do. Other mediums simply tell you what happens. In a video game you live what happens and in cases create it. There are few games who really take advantage of this to it's fullest (Half life 1/2, System Shock 1/2, Dead Space, Bioshock) are all great examples of games with minimal or no "cutscenes" and give you control of your character. In Bioshock they used the medium of video games to get a message across (Why do you always do what the game tells you?) and in the other games they simply had a way of telling the story brilliantly. In the Half Life series no 3rd party force tells you what happens. You don't find out the action through a movie, a cutscene, but instead yourself. The incident of Black Mesa was intensified because you were there, you become Gordon Freeman and you enter his world. No movie or book can do this, but a video game can... and has. This is why I think video games can be great works of art. They allow you to live a story, to feel it's emotions and ups and downs first hand. Sure, a great movie will make you feel sorry for the main character, or cheer them on, but you aren't that character. In a video game it is so much more personal. Again, Half Life was such a great game because you didn't know what was going on. You didn't know who was responsible for the accident, or what was going on outside those walls, or even behind that locked door. No one told you.

The Polycarbonate is probably your best bet if you want a mac. The air's are crazy overpriced and the lack of hard drive space sucks.

Make sure that you don't get your card blocked by the bank by trying it too many times.

Reinstalling the drivers might be a good start. What is your video card? Go to Personalize > Display Settings and look what it says for a video card. Than either find the most up to date driver for that card, or just post what card it is here and we can give you a link to the drivers. Also, and this is just me thinking, but a couple of questions: - Does this happen just during runescape, or during any game? - Does it happen if you're just doing general stuff, such as browsing the internet? My bet is it's a simple driver issue though.

Who pay's for software? Seriously though, what's the lyrics and stuff of the song? I'm sure you could think of something cool to do. An animated 3D bit would take a lot of time.
