  1. Yeah I did. :)
  2. Kraftwerk - Radioactivity Technically Dann recommended them to me, but semantics. :P
  3. If we're talking about scary moments I almost [cabbage] myself during one part of Dead Space. I was crawling through this hallway, and came to a corner. As I turned a corner there was a vent behind me, and in front of me was one of the monsters. I yelled and started to attack it, and it just jumped up into the venting in the ceiling. Well, I figured I was safe so I continued on. Wrong. [bleep] came out of the vent behind me and scared the ever living [cabbage] out of me when it grabbed on to me.
  4. Miss Kittin (& the Hacker)- 1982 Getting to electronica and the like.
  5. Even if they felt they needed to use a tazer, once is enough. Yes we don't know if they are over exaggerating or not but it's not like this kind of thing hasn't happened before. Stop trying to make it sound like all cops are good guys krieg.
  6. By the way, I was trying to hint at the OP not being as smart as he claims to be (after all, he laughs at these "funny" arguments). I still agree with what you're saying though.
  7. Do you really feel you have the high ground to be laughing at other posts? From what I've read from you you're on their level, just not as amusing.
  8. Bioshock Dead space Oblivion Fallout 3 (maybe, I was disapointed) Gears of War 1/2 Honestly I don't think there are that many stellar titles out for the system, I mostly use mine for Rock band 2 these days. Still those are some good titles.
  9. I don't even play the game anymore, but most of the time on my rogue raiding I didn't have top end armor enchants. I had dual mongoose, sure, but I wasn't spending a ton of gold on getting another +2 agility. Come on, even in a 10 minute long fight that's maybe another 2000 damage added. I don't see how it could be lazy anyways when we're playing a game. If the boss goes down, it goes down. Sorry but a +2 enchant is never going to be the difference between a wipe and success. But that's exactly the reason why I quit and left the raiding scene.
  10. Tangerine Dream- Pergamon (Piano Part) [bleep]ing beautiful.
  11. http://www.wellstyled.com/tools/colorsc ... ex-en.html This is a great utility my Graphic Design teacher showed me. Lets you pick a color scheme based around a main color. Real useful if you want to get a unique use of color out.
  12. Dead Space, Fallout 3, Chrono Trigger DS(Ok not technically because I'm on Lavos) and I actually beat normal on Diablo II again on LAN because my internet was out all day. Those are the last ones I remember at least.
  13. Proper? You mean a guild where the leader does nothing but nerdrage over vent because an add wasn't picked up correctly, and gets angry when you don't have a piece of gear enchanted for a measly +10 to a stat? Sounds wonderful.
  14. HL2:EP2 [hide=]When Eli gets killed by the Combine near the end by the helicopter. You're forced to watch it and it's fairly unsettling for a game who in all of the ten years of it's existence never really killed off a character close to yours, or at least not as directly.[/hide] System Shock 2 [hide=]When you find out who SHODAN really is. God that entire sequence sends shivers down my spine, such a [bleep]ing amazing villain.[/hide] Chrono Trigger [hide=]When you find out about Lavos. Again similar to the SS2 one, but really it still sends shivers down my spine today and the game is old.[/hide] Dead Space The end boss, 'nuff said.
  15. I'm going to go against the grain and say I don't have a problem with Dell. Especially during back to school months they can get some great deals. My roomate has a gaming machine by them (fairly overpriced compared to what you could build, but not that badly) and it doesn't seem to have any problems.
  16. I think my signature is too late doctor :(. This is a nice idea but I would have it just for something so that people could do quick little edits for peoples work, to show them. I think just giving a ton of C/C in a non-designated thread would clutter this up.
  17. These are so [bleep]ing old.

Also, sometimes an artist does have to swallow a bit of pride if it is what the customer wants. Granted they may not actually know whats best, but they're the ones who are paying the money. :) From what I understand this shirt design is actually for some children? It's an ok layout, the whale really needs to be shaded in the same way the highlights are done. The text is also horribly illegible although I'm not sure how you would want to fix that.

A clipping mask is just like a normal mask, except that it is it's own layer tied to one bellow it. Any brush or picture that goes on the clipping mask layer will only appear on the layer below it, and nothing else. So if you wanted (for example) to add texture to an interesting 3D render (but not get the texture on the background) you would use a clipping mask and go from there. HERE is an apparent clipping mask tutorial. I have no idea how good it is as I don't use GIMP. Also this extra post was completely un-needed. Should have just bumped up your old one. :?

I would have centered it around the "dead end" sign personally, the photo is lacking composition. Blurry as well, but not much you can do about that if your camera is a cheap one. And the tablet drawing is well done, even though it's not yours.
  21. Agreed with venomai. However, I must say that you do have some wonderful shots there. The colors are very vibrant.
  22. Heh man, just noticed it's "PC games" not any games. In that case I would replace Chrono Trigger with System Shock 2.
  23. I haven't gotten proven wrong so I don't know what you're talking about. :P Try not to take things so seriously.
