  1. What's the difference between PCI, AGP and PCI-E? They're all expansion slots that come on motherboards. PCI and AGP are older while PCI-E is the newer. If your PC has been bought in, say, the past 3 years or so chances are you have a PCI-E slot. If you're hellbent on upgrading mind telling me what model your dell PC is? It'll make it a lot easier finding a compatible video card.
  2. You don't have to use windows live and I never have. :|
  3. Irony overload!
  4. What's wrong with getting into a band from Guitar Hero? I know if that's the only song they've heard but there is nothing wrong with just getting introduced to a band that way. Either way, you're still wrong. I especially enjoyed the "rage against the machine..." "... plays too much into the media". Do you even understand what their name means? ;) Maiden still has some very solid material. Not the best metal band, but they're definitely not horrible.

MOTHER [bleep]IN DRAGONFORCE! I..I haven't listened to it yet.
  6. His GPU should be fine IIRC. Download the latest Java drivers and intel drivers (for your video card) and see if it makes a difference. If not there are several choices (depending if you run PCI/AGP/PCI-E) that will not end up costing more than $35-40. This thread.
  7. They "lost" Bioshock? It's already on the PC. And you act as if compressing your game is a bad thing. Sorry but Blue-ray does seem to make some developers lazy by not compressing audio and/or video.
  8. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36319.html Trailer is pretty [bleep]ing awesome.
  9. I've only been reading the (much funnier) parodies on SA.
  10. The MAG idea sony was talking about sounded interesting. Nearly sounded like a small scale MMO to be honest (256 players at once). Of course it may be hard getting those kind of numbers organized.
  11. Primordial- Children of the Harvest
  12. Aside from the GTA:DS anouncement nothing even remotely excited me about the nintendo announcements. The Wii Music looks really silly to be honest. It's not based off of Rhythm or anything so I have no idea whats going to be the point of it. Although they are finally getting a mic of some sort for the Wii. Only took them a few years.
  13. E3 is still technically taking up the rest of the week. I would expect the major announcements not to be in the generic microsoft/nintendo/sony presentations.
  14. The sad thing is is that now and then the actual picture behind the text or frame is actually funny. Then they just have to ruin it by saying HEY THIS IS THE JOKE THAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE LAUGHING AT and then repeat the damn thing in smaller text JUST MAKING SURE YOU GOT THE JOKE LOL. I guess some people enjoy having the joke explained to them though?
  15. http://www.dsfanboy.com/2008/07/15/gta- ... #c13180001 Hell yes, GTA for the DS. Also I was disappointed that Duke Nukem 3D wasn't announced to go on the XboxLive Arcade yesterday. All the rumors had me excited.
  16. When all else fails, innovate. :P
  17. Speech key? INNOVATION!
  18. The only problem with trying to make a fight with a bully public is that chances are, if you're getting bullied, you aren't exactly that threatening. It might just end up embarrassing you if you throw some weak punch at him. :P Of course if you have the strength go for it. I don't really have any advice though as I was never really bullied in school. I mean, in elementary and middle school I was friends with a lot of the tougher kids in the class and then I just generally kind of did my own thing. :P Then in high school I ended up hanging out with a bunch of juniors and seniors my first year, just because my friend's (who was still in 8th grade) sister was a junior then. I had just moved there so didn't know anyone. I do think a lot of not getting bullied just happens to be knowing the right people.
  19. As far as cost goes I know I would have had to pay full price just to get a damn new battery for my old iPod. Yeah, definitely just said [bleep] it there. :P For a broken screen its hard to tell.
  20. There are plenty places to find funny pictures. And anyways, as I said, most of that thread sucked.
  21. I don't get it. :?:
  22. If it's still under warenty I think you can get it fixed. Honestly though, how did it get cracked? iPods usually are fairly durable. Aside from getting a new one / shipping this old one in there is nothing you can do to fix that screen.
  23. Of course there is always "if they do X, we should do Y". However part of the difficulty in say, football, is you don't know what they'll do. In the arena it quite simply is almost always the same. You know that the enemy is going to do X because to do Y would leave them open. There is no multiple plans of action at the higher end, you always do some things because it is foolish to do it any other way. And comparing it to the real world is just sad. You don't know what's going to happen in war. True random is never possible in a game or computer simulation. ;p At any rate however numerous other games have done the PvP thing much better due to the fact that there are much more ways to take care of something. In WoW's arena, for one, only a few various type of team builds are ever really that effective. Sure there are oddities up there, but if you use a tool like on sk-gaming.com you can see a clear cut trend in various team matchups. In most MMOs that do good for PvP they usually focus on a larger scale PvP, but also try and turn away from certain needs. In WoW PvP you almost have to have a PvP circle (in top end, 5v5 and even 3v3/2v2 a lot) that has a healer, CCer and debuffer (MS Debuff). Without those 3 things a team is very useless. In other MMOS however you don't need these to be effective. Since most others focus on world PvP there is so many other options and situations that can happen, such as the element of suprise, that balances out certain team choices. I've paid plenty attention to WoTLK and the expansion is just more of the same. More raids, in which they nerf content again by making it 10 or 25 mans and "more" PvP. Seige warfare sounds fine and all except that it still is very much just a glorified minigame or sorts, and something that other PvP MMOs have done years and years ago much better.
  24. Honestly it sounds kind of interesting, odd time signatures could make something cool.
  25. You need to hook me up with some Black metal and/or Ambient stuff :P , my playlist is pitiful when it comes to that. Tiga- Sunglasses at Night 8-) into Mayhem- Deathcrush
