Yeah they have. Definitly this is some good inspiration for all the newbies. Yeah, all of us sucked :P (I generally sucked at art and anything to do with photoshop for like 2 years, but.... yeah.) I wish I could find my first sig I ever made. It was the worse piece of [cabbage] I've ever seen, I'll be honest and say I have never seen another sig as bad as it was. It was created in powerpoint, and had my character with his trademark purple pants, green shirt and blue hair. It was very much a combination of :twss: and :-s . Also the first sig I ever managed to sell for runescape GP I had used a background someone else made. Now, in my defense, the guy said they were free! Still I caught a ton of [cabbage] for that and had a [bleep] of a time clearing my name. My favorite thing about being on these forums though is getting to see all of these artists get better. I remember when DementedHero's sig consisted of bryce 3D renders in which he cleverly mirrored them and placed one mirrored side over the other. I remember ColAvanor's first sig and I remember (flaming, I think) misterxman's first pixel sig. Needless to say it's fun watching people get good. :thumbsup:

I want to say that, in one form or another, the human race will always be around. Even if it's not on the planet Earth we have enough technology these days to deal with about any crisis. Will there be huge epidemics? Oh yeah. No doubt that the human race will not always be as large, I'm sure that a disaster (metor, disease, whatever) would kill off a large percentage. However I think we'll be around in one way or another until the universe ends :P [if it does].

The PvP Patch FAQ: http://forums-tl.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=35914 What we know: - You do not gain murder points for killing a same level player, a player 2 levels lower or a higher level player. - You gain 10 murder points for killing a guy 3-5 levels lower (this scales the lower the level). - You need 100 murder points to be flagged red, or a murderer. (can drop gear). - AoE (as long as a mob is targeted) won't hit other players. - If a player is flagged a criminal (has attacked someone) then a player that kills them will not gain murder points. Likewise if the criminal kills the person attacking him he won't gain murder points. Essentially this system is being put into place to punish those who kill lower levels (who don't fight back). Murderers (red) can drop pieces of gear (unsure of what gear) and can drop a percentage of their gold. Criminals will be flagged for 5 minutes after attacking a player, being grouped with another criminal / murderer or trading with a murderer. Murderers will not be able to use traders/vendors (unsure how guild cities pan out yet). To lose murder points there are a few ways. For one, you lose 1 murder point every other hour. For every 1% of XP you also lose 1 murder point. Everytime you die, you lose 3 murder points. There are 10 PvP levels. You can lose PvP XP by dying but will never lose a PvP level until after 10. After the 10th there will be ranks (unsure if it's based off K : D or if it is based off of PvP XP afterwards) and you can lose ranks by dying in PvP. PvP gear will be based upon your PvP level, going from a T1 PvP to a T(x) (unsure) gear. It will cost a little bit of gold and obviously need a certain PvP level to obtain. I'll try and answer any questions that you guys have about the system, I still am in the dark about several issues though.

It will be awesome if it is out this year, but i wasn't aware they've announced a release date. :? Rumors point towards sometime next year. I'd assume (read: hope) that they would as it goes along their current track record for EP1 and 2.

Half life. Still an FPS that innovated and practically changed the FPS market overnight. Likewise it goes back to the basic idea of an FPS -- survive. Yeah, there is a lot more to the game than that for those people that really explore it, but it was incredible for its time and still is. Don't even need to mention the fact that it spawned hundreds and hundreds of player made mod's and really turned the gaming community upside down when it came to content. Several games have become immensly popular FPS's and they started out as nothing but fan made modifications to the game. Of course Half life 2 (and EP1/2) are incredible in their own rights, and I would argue that EP2 was the best of the series so far. However no FPS can really stack up to Half life in terms of just redefining not only FPS's but, as I said, the entire gaming community and the attitude towards fan made content. I'm sure you all expected me to say this though.

Yeah ToS really only hit "hard" if they're both decked out and crit. With the inc gem nerf the damage should take a hit.

All I can even remember of Halo 1's single player is going down the same goddamn hallway (damn well looked like it at least) for 3 hours on the most boring single player mission I ever played.

Honestly, just torrent it and use your own CD Key if you have it. You aren't stealing anything.

Linux is free. However, if you're having problems with drivers I really wouldn't recommend switching to Linux, even the easier ones. Also any web cam errors are with the manufacturer and not Microsoft. Likewise, if you're having a problem with slowdowns why not buy more ram then getting an entirely new OS? It'll be cheaper...
