  1. Tool - Vicarious I'll be completly honest and say I've never actually listened to tool before, so I'm listening to their stuff on youtube now. Don't know why it took me so long :/.
  2. Alice in Chains- Man in the Box Good stuff. :P
  3. That's why I loved death note, it didn't seem really 'silly' like some animes. I'm watching it over again whenever it comes on [AS]. [hide]Man I still love how he takes care of Ray penbar and his fiancee[/hide]
  4. Yeah it is, I love it. :P Rolling us off this pink floyd train: Mayhem- Pure ****ing Armageddon Violent torture, Death has arrived, Armageddon, Terror and fright, Bleeding corpses, Rotting decay Anarchy, Violent torture, Antichrist, Lucifer, Son of satan Pure [bleep]ing Armageddon Pure [bleep]ing Armageddon! Straight and to the point pretty much.
  5. Pink Floyd - Goodbye Blue Sky [ look, mummy. theres an airplane up in the sky. ] Did you, did you see the frightened ones? Did you, did you hear the falling bombs? Did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter, When the promise of a brave new world, Unfurled beneath a clear blue sky? Did you, did you see the frightened ones? Did you, did you hear the falling bombs? The flames are all long gone, But the pain lingers on. Goodbye, blue sky. Goodbye, blue sky. Goodbye. Goodbye.
  6. Forgot to even bump it up, I sharpened it up a bit this morning.
  7. Getting back on track, great band. Favorite songs by them are probably: Afraid to shoot Strangers (amazing solo!) Dance of Death Hallowed by thy name Fear of the Dark (f**king amazing live) Rime of the ancient Mariner.
  8. So.. I'm faintly debating of coming back for a bit. I made a trial account out of boredom, and I have to say that the 2.3 patch is tempting. It looks to have a lot of improvements (Daily battleground quests, daily instance quests... ect) along with general improvements to battlegrounds. The faster leveling seems nice as well. I always hated levels 20-60... now hopefully not near as much. :P It also seems a lot more ballanced (PvP wise) than it used to be, nothing really seems to be sticking out as OP atm. Anyways it all depends (of course) on if my roomate wants to join in or not. I know he has a WoW and BC second account he got for his birthday (LOL, parrents didn't know he already had it and quit the game) so he might be wanting to. If we do we'll probably end up rolling alliance on a good PvP server. I don't really care for setting myself up for raiding again with college going on (maybe save for ZA or something...) so we would probably do a 2v2 arena team and focus on that. IIRC S1 gear is getting added to the list of what you can buy with honor when S3 comes out, right? If so that'd certainly make getting geared up easier for us... Of course now I have to think (if we played) what combo to do. I know my roomate would probably wanna play a gnome. Any comments guys? With AoC still pushed back a bit (at the least 4 months... and I have a suspicion it may get pulled to next summer) it seems like it might be worth it getting back in. Hellgate is great, but I don't think its a game I can devote a ton of time to.
  9. I would enjoy a nice ham sandwich (or something meaty) right in the middle of her lecturing about PETA. :P
  10. Aardtmann Op Vuurtopberg is doom metal. That other band was a mix of drone/doom, apparently... it kind of sucked though. Iw- Amortized
  11. I remember going to speach therapy when I was a kid for like, a year or so, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was for exactly. Also apparently you shouldn't sarcasticly stutter to a stutter. :P
  12. You stutter(ed)? Can't believe I never knew this.
  13. Quoted For Truth. I suggest old-school classic rock if you're looking for origional lyrics. Lets not get into this [cabbage] again. Every genre is capable of meaningful lyrics (even if you your self can't relate to them) you just have to look past what's popular. Anyways, favorite lyrics.. difficult. Here's some I enjoy: Agalloch- She painted the fire across the skyline Oh dismal mourning... I open my weary eyes once again My life has been left hollow and ashes have filled the gorge of my within Last night I hoped and wished I'd die in my sleep but no catharsis was granted to me Will this pain ever pass? The enchanting perfume of winter and the bleak, cold breath of her still haunts me... Oportet ubique pulchritudinem evanescere So half of me rode to the mountains and the other half soared high in the winds to a place where the angels had fallen, the soil gagged and choked on their wings My soul was the pale skyline that she stretched across the horizon Two years had brought the fire that she paints upon my loathsome canvas She is the dark one... As a bird I watched her from my cold tower in the heavens and when she fell from the northplace, I flew down and embraced her I took her where the snow falls forever, she showed me the haunted woods We gathered together in the oaken palace, free from both death and life The fire blazed in her eyes one day and she tore the soul from my chest With a bleeding heart, I flew back to my cold tower to never escape and lie in a pool of death forever I saw the nightfall... It called to me like a river of shadows It sang to me with the cries of a thousand ravens that blackened the sky as they took flight and sank the Sol I shall never trust the sun again, Eridanis Nadir I ran away far into the woods To find the Sol, I called to her... I don't want to be forgotten...I never wanted to be human NEVER!!!!! So alas the sun had descended, her fire burned brilliant in the sky The trees bore their withered silhouettes, that cast a spell upon unearthly white No wolf shall keep his secrets, no bird shall dance the skyline And I am left with nothing but an oath that gleams like a sword To bathe in the blood of man Mankind... Dream Theater- A change of Seasons I. The Crimson Sunrise (Instrumental) II. Innocence I remember a time My frail, virgin mind watched the crimson sunrise Imagined what it might find Life was filled with wonder I felt the warm wind blow I must explore the boundaries Transcend the depth of winter's snow Innocence caressing me I never felt so young before There was so much life in me Still I longed to search for more But those days are gone now Changed like a leaf on a tree Blown away forever into the cool autumn breeze The snow has now fallen and my sun's not so bright I struggle to hold on with the last of my might In my den of inequity viciousness and subtlety struggle to ease the pain struggle to find the sane Ignorance surrounding me I've never been so filled with fear All my life's been drained from me The end is drawing near.... III. Carpe Diem 'Carpe diem, seize the day' I'll always remember The chill of November The news of the fall The sounds in the hall The clock on the wall ticking away 'Seize the Day' I heard him say Life will not always be this way Look around Hear the sounds Cherish your life while you're still around "Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old Time is still a-flying; And this same flower that smiles today, Tomorrow will be dying." We can learn from the past But those days are gone We can hope for the future But there may not be one The words stuck in my mind alive from what I've learned I have to seize the day To home I returned Preparing for her flight I held with all my might Fearing my deepest fright She walked into the night She turned for one last look She looked me in the eye I said, 'I Love You...Good-bye' "It's the most awful thing you'll ever hear." "If you're lying to me..." "Oh, you dearly love her." "...just have to leave... all our lives." "Seize the day!" "Something happened. "Gather ye rosebuds while ye may." "She was killed." IV. The Darkest of Winters (Instrumental) V. Another World So far or so it seems All is lost with nothing fulfilled Off the pages and a T.V. screen Another world where nothing's true Tripping through the life fantastic Lose a step and never get up Left alone with a cold blank stare I feel like giving up I was blinded by a paradise Utopia high in the sky A dream that only drowned me Deep in sorrow, wondering why Oh come let us adore him Abuse and then ignore him No matter what, don't let him be Let's feed upon his misery Then string him up for all the world to see I'm sick of all you hypocrites holding me at bay And I don't need your sympathy to get me through the day Seasons change and so can I Hold on Boy, No time to cry Untie these strings, I'm climbing down I won't let them push me away Oh come let us adore him Abuse and then ignore him No matter what, don't let him be Let's feed upon his misery Now it's time for those to deal with me VI. The Inevitable Summer (Instrumental) VII. The Crimson Sunset I'm much wiser now A lifetime of memories run through my head They taught me how for better or worse, alive or dead I realize there's no turning back Life goes on the offbeaten track I sit down with my son Set to see the Crimson Sunset (Gather ye rosebuds while ye may) Many years have come and gone I've lived my life, but now must move on (Gather ye rosebuds while ye may) He is my only one Now that my time has come Now that my life is done We look into the sun 'Seize the day and don't you cry, Now it's time to say good-bye Even though I'll be gone, I will live on, live on.' Normally Dream Theater's weakness is they just don't have any emotion... or feelings behind their work and lyrics. A Change of Seasons completly goes above that, its easily one of their best songs ever written. Just listen to it, the first time you hear it (hell, even the 50th) it'll give you chills. Simply amazing and one of my favorite songs. Aarni- Squaring the Circle The first matter, The salt of salts, Celestial water dissolves The subtlest fluid sustains The burning of sulphur. Squaring the circle, Spirit and matter Driving the triumphal charlot, Scattering treasures for the world Blackening to become whitened, Transmutation accomplished. Squaring the circle, Zero equals two Aliquem alium intermum, quadratura circuli The blood of the lion, the eagle's tears, Result in the stone of millions of years. Squaring the circle, solve et coagula Omne superius sicut inferius Something a bit different. I love Aarni's style. :P Thats all for now. Lets try and keep this on topic guys, haven't had one of these threads in a while. :P
  14. Agreed. I find it ridiculous that so many people here on these forums are so hell bent against making their signature watermarked in so many ways. Anyways I like it reddawn, good job.

  23. ^ I tried doing that with my PC, didn't work out well. @ Devoted: If I understand correctly the 360 will be near the wireless router? There should be some ethernet hookups in the back of it, even for a wireless I would think, at least thats how mine is like. (that or plug it into the actual modem).
  24. No and no. Text wouldn't work in top right. I'll be sharpening it up, its a WIP for a reason :P.
