merc debunked your entire 'theory' on the first page, there isn't anything else to be said. Really, you're a fool -- thats all there is to it. Their debunking was the biggest strawman I have ever seen in my life. Anyone who CAN'T see that is blind.

Kid checked out 3 times for possibly being a Terrorist
I can't believe some of you guys actually think they did the correct thing. He was seven, only reason he got stopped is he shared the same name as someone who was much older. Really, get some common sense here.

Bioshock
Holy mother of all that is holy this game is f***ing beautiful. The music, graphics, sounds... everything. I've already killed a couple of big daddies  and I feel damn evil about it. Hah, I sucked the life out of those girls. But seriously, this game is simply amazing -- quite easily a contender for best game of the year. Average rating of 97% so far for PC... incredible.

I'm sorry (actually, I'm not) but that was the single most stupid 'debunking' I have ever seen in my life. Highlander, if you actually believe this you my friend are an idiot, a blind one at that.

Abortion.
Excellent point! Like some things even if abortion were illegal people would still have it done. Imagine, your young and after a wild night find out you are pregnant. People don't think well under pressure, and she might be pressured to going to a shady place. Its much better to have facilities open for those who need it. Its much better than losing both the fetus and the parent.

Next Generation Games / Consoles.
In my opinion games are getting better as they evolve. Go back and play some of the classics. Yes, they are great games and were great games of their time. However compare, say, the experience of Doom to that of Half life 2 -- the difference is massive. In doom you are simply running around killing guys. There is little plot and the most you do is collect key cards. I am not saying it wasn't a brilliant game, it was. Its one of those games I could go back and play through as well, however half life 2 wins. Even if HL2 had the graphical capabilities of Doom it would still have much more to offer. An actual storyline and plot, much more capable AI. Better, larger environments to roam around in. There is simply so much 'more' into the experience. As technology improves so will games. 10 years ago voice acting in a game was shoddy, if not non existent, at best. As technology has improved we are now able to make these virtual worlds even more engrossing, voice actors playing out the parts of everything in a game. Instead of reading some text of what this person says you can hear it, you can hear the emotion and intent behind it. Likewise more computing power means we can continue to create better and better physics engines, or AI, in our games. Look at Crysis -- you are able to knock down trees, buildings... the engine is amazing. Being able to absorb you so much more into the game is a great thing, not a bad one. There are always bad apples. Yes there are many games with great graphics and piss-poor gameplay, but likewise it was the same exact way back in the day. I remember seeings tons upon tons of horrible games coming out for systems such as the NES/SNES/Genesis/Saturn/ect. Likewise I saw a lot of poor half-attempts of getting into the market on the PC. Both ages have had their gems. Tell me, perhaps, what games do you see as iconic back then and now? I'm willing to bet its a fairly even number if not today having more 'big games'. If you talk about it in the same even time period you will probably come up with similar results. Like rick said VR is the way of the future. As technology improves so will our ability to be able to further the experience of what a game can offer. I also do think that more 'casual' games will come out, they always have. I love nice, large epic storylines and adventures but sometimes just kicking back in a game you can play for maybe an hour - hour and a half is good. So yeah, I deffinitly see the future holding great things.

Abortion.
It is illegal to abort a baby 1 day before it was born. The legal limit is a few months, I think. The point is to abort it while it feels no pain and can not think for its self. There is a period of time when a fetus is no more than just that, a fetus. It can't feel pain and is just some cells developing. It doesn't have any sort of thinking process. I think you're grossly oversimplifying the situation here. If a kid is going to be neglected and die at a very young age it may be better to abort it at an age when it can not feel pain. Thats great to hear you did fine but, honestly, anecdotal evidence isn't something that is worth anything to this discussion. I am not aware of how good adoption facilities are so excuse my ignorance here. Again this is a really simplified process. Chances are there are many, many children waiting to be adopted that are already living a poor life. Would it not make more sense to adopt one of them instead of having someone bring yet another child into the world, neglecting someone (who needs it) of an adoption? I can simplify stuff as well you see. Point is though is that it is not that 'simple'. Chances are couple A has no idea about couple B or vice versa. Condoms can't break, right? Yes there are alternatives and while condoms are very affective it is not a 100% garentee. There are some people out there who suffered from a broken condom. Should they have to bare the burden of a child because of a (less than 1%) accident? Saying the mother can take care of it is incredibly simple as well. Many cases the mother is not able to care for a kid, she may be too old to be able to keep up with the high maintenance of a kid, work may not allow her enough time... the list goes on and on. I mean, yes, in this fairy tale land where everyone is able to have some kind of amazing backup it makes more sense. The truth it however not everyone has someone waiting at their feet to adopt a child (because with all the children there are that do not have parents the chance of your child finding a family fast is slim) and not everyone has a kind, caring mother that will take your child and raise it correctly.

Xbox 360 resolution problem.
Well its a 'flat' screen but the TV goes back a bit. This is the TV I'm just going through my monitor for now, kind of gave it up on the TV. We might be getting a used PS2 for cheap to use on the TV lol.

Big help.
No i turned in all of those movie games exept Spiderman 3. That is still a ton of games left over, especially with how much they cost. I'll put it this way -- trying to turn in and get what you can for the PS3 an games is futile, tradebacks give you almost nothing. Also you will most likely have to get the sell back price for a PS3 which probably won't even cover the cost of the 360. Pretty much its going to cost your dad a sh*t ton of money to do this, its not worth it. Well GameStop said they would take the PS3 for 300$ SO with the 8 games, 2 controllers, and plug-ins i have it should be over 150$ (Elite is 450$). Thats a HUGE rip off! Not to be mean but your dad was actually considering that? It means he would just throw away some 500 bucks.

Thinking as a society
So... are you actually suggesting something or is this just ranting? As humans its natural for us to act individually. Acting as a 'society' would have to mean that everyone has the same opinion for it to work. If you have a contrasting opinion then, suddenly, you can not focus as a society being 'one' because of that conflicting opinion. For example what if I, as a citizen, really wanted the forest to be cut down because it was a minor change on the environment and would really improve our economy? Like I said you have to assume everyone has the same opinion for everything for this to even feasibly work. At any rate I still am not following you very well. The entire thing just seems like a big stab at "big corporations are evil, we need to stick together!" ideal.

Big help.
Do you own all those games or were some rentals? Seems like a HUGE waste of money to turn in a PS3 with all those games, especially if you aren't getting the full amount that the PS3 cost.

Bioshock
Internet sucks hardcore here, it'd take forever to download on my 360 I think (and haven't gotten it set up yet). I'm just waiting to play the entire game when it comes out tomorrow anyways, get the full experience. :P

The post I've waited years to make...
Yeah, but it's not really even dating. It's just "lol, I kiss girl" kind of stuff. Or the girl using the boy for her own purposes. Not really something to brag about. I'm glad he met this person he's had a decent relationship with, just not so much the bragging. I don't think it was for braging par-say, just something to say that he has been with other girls, even if it wasn't serious, out side of 'the internets'.

The post I've waited years to make...
Glad to hear you had a good time man. :P @ Eels: shut it. @ Bari: I don't think he considered it serious, it was just a comment to show that he has done more than just "lol internet dating".

Hacking? or keylogging?
MMORPG accounts can sell for nice sums of cash on various 'action sites' so to speak, or e-bay. Not trying to condone it just saying thats why some bother, others just want items (typical script kiddies). Anyways everyone seemed to sum it up well. Like they said as long as you have a good password, don't give it out and don't download strange links you will be fine.

Which should I learn first? (Is this the correct spot???)
C++ isn't terribly complicated, I can't compare it to C though as I never did that. I don't think it really matters which you go after first, but I would go for C++ personally. Keep in mind it takes a lot of time to even get to a level where you could make a simple GUI app, making your own game without any prior knowledge of programming will take a very long time and I would start it off small if I were you.

Bioshock
Bioshock Average Rating 99% The game isn't even out yet and already its at a 99% average rating over various sites... holy crap. The biggest thing is some people are reviewing the xbox 360 version (most are) while I don't see many reviews for the PC yet (which is superior from what I've heard). I can not wait for this game tomorrow, I've heard many reviews stating that it is a work of art in all ways, and is superior to even System Shock 2. edit: PC Bioshock average rating 96% Still it only has 3 ratings so far, and from what I've always seen PC magazines/reviews are a lot harsher than xbox 360 ones. IGN gave it a 9.7 and then just two magazines gave it a rating. PC Gamer UK gave it a 95% when it rated Half life 2 a 96. I think this is something very good indeed...
