Much less xp? I get 58k per hour at irons on average. I'd be lucky to get 50k alching with all the distractions. If you go 85-99 at metals the drops will eventually pay for your runes. So Metals > Alching.

Self defense without a gun is safer and easier. Heres how you do it. Step one: Hand the criminal your wallet or whatever else he requests Step two: ???? Step three: Profit! Seriously, pulling a gun on a mugger will get you shot. Any self defense instructor will tell you that.

Would dust devils work? they have good drops and charms but are kind of akward to safespot.

throwing rings? won't those kill all of your profit? and I dont have a unicorn so I cant use void at avainsie.

Aviansie are good for cash, but they're slow exp. Yaks are good for xp but no drops. Whats a mob that gives good exp but still has half decent drops?

Humidify is an ok way. If you're going for 99 maging metals is basically the same as alching but it gives HP xp and its low attention. Only issue is you have to wait for a visage drop to pay for your runes (Going 85-99 will get you one. it's like 10k dragons or something.)

don't bother. super compost boosts your survival rate to 90% anyways. overall its cheaper to just take the 10% chance.

Actually a hammer can't batter dragon - so the hardest thing in the game i would think would be the hammer you get from the dwarfs in keldagrim for 1 mill that an batter the dragon. (i want a hammer as a weap - maybe change their platelegs into a plateskirt with a couple of blows like you can in smithing) Just smith it into a sword, they couldn't possibly wear a sword as pants! Hmmm, wouldn't a chisel be harder? It can cut diamonds in seconds. Even cut them into arrowtips! Diamond are the hardest substance currently known, yes. But If you understand how hardness works (As things get harder they get brittler. Watch the mythbuster's hammer episode they explain it) it isn't unreasonable to cut diamonds. Another example would be concrete. Hard, yes. Lay a sheet of it on two raised platforms and you can snap it easily because it doesn't bend.

IMO the temple knights suffer the same problem that plagues all Christians *cough* Saradomonists. Unable to accept other faiths and the belief that any person of a different faith is evil. So, I wouldn't be surprised if they killed some armadyl or guthix followers in the past.
