  1. the only barrows helm that looks cool is verac's, but verac's is sweet. dragon full helm looks okay, looks a lot better with full dragon. however, i think it's the last dragon armor piece because it would be much stronger than torag's, defeating the purpose of barrows. except for verac's and guthan's, even verac's won't have that much purpose.
  2. :lol: :lol: the slots on slot machines are wheels, but a computer determines what they will end up on before you even spin. i'm pretty sure that's how it works with monsters too, the drop is determined as the monster spawns. the only way to confirm it is to ask jagex though. too bad you can't post your messages, as anyone could make up an answer....

  6. ^^ precisely, think back to tutorial island on the rats, you would hit the rat after about 10 attempts and hit 1 but it would usually heal before you hit it again this is just a level 3 rat imagine how many times it would take the level 3s to hit the 126 with 99 defence? :lol: that's exactly what i said. i got all my stats to max that you can train on tutorial island, and i still had a hard time hitting them. of course, if it let me get to 4 prayer instead of 3 i might have hit 2 on them :lol:
  7. the barrows brothers reincarnated as dragons 8-) ahrim would be the only one with fire breath though. lvl 700, all of them. max hit 98, ahrim can hit 99 with fire breath if you don't have dragonfire(note dragonfire not antidragon) and anti dragon breath potion. 8-)
  8. Wow... You really did your homework :XD: problem is, i just did tutorial island again, i was hitting 1s every 5 hits on the giant rats. and since they have 1, or possible 2 defense, the rate is way way lower on 99 defense. mario thought it out well, but the rate was bad, and it screwed it up.
  9. did it ever occur to you that someone might've gotten all 99's f2p then went p2p? there's been time enough to do it.

  15. Got one on my 12th kill. My partner got one on the 2nd kill, and again on the 6th. (different partner.) Neither of us wearing RoW. you had very good luck. if d chain wasn't rare, why is it so expensive? and also, when was the next time you got it? Those are the only chain drops I have got. No ones denying that it's rare.. I was just proving the absurdity of "There is no way you will get a chain without like 500 kills". well, of course, it is absurd. it's the law of averages that's hindering him from getting a chain. once he gets one, he'll probably get them like crazy. some people are saying it's not rare though. that's just ridiculous.

  17. then you have some really weird luck, ask most people and they'll say gems aren't as rare as chains. and besides, how many kills have you had? most likely above 200 or you're really lucky.
  18. um, in your last post you said d-chain was not a rare-drop. d chain is a rare drop, and it's chances of getting it are increased with the ring of wealth. unless you're trying to say you get chains more often than gems.

  20. rare drops are defined by their drop rate. if the drop rate is below a certain point, it is rare, and the RoW increases the rate. that's how it is.

  23. all these people saying the lvl 3's have a 1 in 5 chance to hit are wrong. do you remember tutorial island? the giant rats had the exact same stats as you. it took about 5 hits to get 1 damage on 1 defense, not 99 defense. so let's just multiply these odds by 99 shall we? the odds would actually be even worse in the fight for the 3's, but it has an exponential formula that is very confusing, as in all games. the lvl 3's would hit every 495 times, so odds are that one of them will hit after the 4th round of punches. meanwhile, 99 attack with 99 strength is hitting on 1 defense. for the sake of those not math saavy, let's use the simple formula again. 1 defense divided by 99 attack equals a 1/99 chance of hitting. i like to see runescapes attack, strength and defense system as a wheel. at the beggining, 1 attack on 1 defense has a 50% chance of hitting. this probably isn't right, it's just a way i like to think of it. when the attack side increases, the chance of hitting 0 goes down, while the chance of doing damage goes up, and vice versa. all strength does is divide the chance of hitting into sections, landing on different sections does different damage. for example, if you had 1 attack, enemy has 1 defense, and you can hit 2 max damage, the odds would be 50% 0, 25% 1, 25% 2. weapons and armor would affect this in a mind boogling way, i won't get into it. remember, my formula isn't correct, it's just an example. now at 99 defense and 1 attack, things would come out different than you expect. the percentage of someone hitting on 99 defense with 1 attack would be extremely slim, if there's any chance at all. if the level 3's got lucky, they would hit every 400 times, there is no way 1 attack could hit on 99 defense every 5 times, suggesting that is ridiculous. if you have picked up a strategy guide for any RPG, if they have a damage section, you'll see how complicated the formula is. but anyone with a half a mind can realise that 1 attack on 99 defense will rarely hit, even though my formula is probably way off, make a lvl 3 account and fight the giant rats on tutorial island for a while. you'll find that you hardly ever hit on them, and they have 1 defense.
