  1. When I say new bosses, I mean completely new bosses. New drops, new boss mechanics... everything. Consider world 117: It's PACKED full of people dungeoneering. The server is so overloaded that it sometimes take three to five seconds for my clicks to register. I would really rather not have to purposely avoid LS worlds when I'm NOT boss hunting due to server lag.
  2. That's not the right question to ask. Is Jagex able to handle the equivalent of a second dungeoneering skill on every LS world?
  3. Luckily there's at least one or two that are really good. Talked to Das who appeased my concerns pretty well.
  4. IMO, the only practical solution to crashing is to create a variety of bosses, both instanced and non-instanced, and we need new ones every so often. If we got ten new bosses tomorrow, then one or two more every year, that'd probably do the trick. As I've said before, you can't really just make everything instanced, as the server load would be enormous. They just need to spread the players thin.
  5. You really can't blame any of us for being snappy and impatient when EVERY. SINGLE. THING. YOU. SAY. has been debunked many, many times in this thread. Just read the thread. That's all you need to do. If people would read the thread before posting, it would be dead already.
  6. Not only that, but several of my posts -- posts in which I put a lot of effort constructing my arguments rationally and logically -- were deleted while the far more inflammatory posts were passed over. Furthermore, Dan and Strilmus's posts were untouched despite the fact that neither of them can say anything other than "but it's not nice!" which is definitely flamebaiting considering how many times that god-awful argument has been debunked. I will not be surprised in the least if my post gets deleted and this one doesn't.
  7. Now that everyone who is pro-crashing has had their posts deleted, let's see if we can get this argument on track.
  8. Probably going to be banned in a second here. [bleep] the moderators, seriously. I had posts deleted that I spent a lot of time on; reasonable, calm posts. I don't [bleep]ing get it.
  9. Why is it the 138's responsibility to go to cave horrors or armored zombies? If the 110 wants money or experience, he can go to cave horrors or armored zombies (and he needs the experience more than the 138, obviously).
  10. Okay. Your interpretation of my post has no basis in reality. I'm asking people to educate themselves on how inundated bosses like Graardor really are. You're asking people to continue living in a bubble world where nothing goes wrong and people should just get along and be happy. It's a nice sentiment, but when you actually feel like going out and making the big bucks (solo MHing), you have to realize that Jagex is essentially forcing us to fight over scraps. I'll use the same analogy I did earlier: Blame Jagex for throwing a single steak to a ravenous crowd of players. EDIT: The solution is not to instance boss areas -- the solution is to give us more options. You can't instance every boss area for both teams and soloists. That'd be like creating a second dungeoneering skill.
  11. 39,134 experience per hour. I'm a RSC prod. :shades:
  12. Oh. My. God. Can someone please explain how morality has ANYTHING to do with there being two people fighting over most bosses on almost every world? ONCE AGAIN, this isn't some fairytale land where the big bad 138 decides to pick on the poor wittle 110. There are REASONS that are completely mutually exclusive of morality and "social norms." I'd like to set a challenge for all of you who are against crashing: For the next 30 days, you must spend every second of your playtime soloing Graardor. Buy the best gear you can afford, read up on efficient soloing methods, and have at it. I GUARANTEE you that in 30 days, you will be a convert. You will no longer have any qualms with crashing. You will be so fed up with waiting for people to leave worlds that you will resort to crashing, and you'll be crashed within a minute of you entering the boss chamber, so you will start thinking about maxing your skills and buying better gear so you can CRASH and PREVENT BEING CRASHED because there's no other way to do it. I use Graardor as an example because he's easily the busiest boss. Bosses like DKs and TDs are much better for money, especially due to worlds being easier to find. Thus, people don't typically crash those two bosses.
  13. No. Stop. [spoiler=How I feel about you whenever you post in this thread.]
  14. I love the asymmetrical look.
  15. Without the coif, I think it's one of the best looking sets in Runescape, if not the best (outside of Daemonheim).
  16. Honestly, I don't think they'll release dragon bolts with it. However, a spec that activates your bolt's special and uses 100% of the bar would be pretty good, IMO. It would make ranged VERY potent.
  17. Yup, the NPC specifically refers to a dragon crossbow.
  18. Ah, so your safespot works until you're attacked (because it's not a real safespot), at which point your cannon goes into single-combat mode for a significant amount of time. Yeah, you're pro!
  19. Well, there's definitely going to be one. They've mentioned that they're not going to release it until they've completely balanced the combat triangle (so . . . never). There's a NPC in the ranged guild that mentions it, too.
  20. No, because they won't tell you if you guessed correctly. What I meant is that if you got it wrong, you wouldn't recover your password, so you would know that you were at least close if you got it right.
  21. Emergent gameplay means EXPLOITING parts of the game in ways that the developers had not intended, but does not necessarily constitute bug abuse. It's not just using something, it's EXPLOITING it for some sort of advantage. This is the crucial difference between "role-playing" and emergent gameplay. Sure, Jagex had not designed POHs to be used as strip clubs or restaurants, but using them as such is not advantageous exploitation - it's just role-playing. - Using the withdraw-x option on a BoB to CONTINUOUSLY use bones on an altar is an example of emergent gameplay. - Using a cannon in a single-combat zone to hit multiple targets is an example of emergent gameplay.
  22. Speaking from a completely objective point of view, you were the first person in this thread to mention efficiency. You can't have a "different view," because YOU brought it up in a thread that has NOTHING to do with it.
  23. wow okay
  24. I would LOVE to know the exact date I created my account. I wonder if attempting to "recover" your account and making a bunch of guesses would be a way to figure it out. I suppose you'd just get your account locked, though. :D
  25. Yeah . . . no one put down anyone in this thread (except for Golvellius attempting to troll, as per usual). You're mad because a couple players voiced their opinions on role-playing, and you somehow inferred that it MUST be because it's inefficient to do so. The problem that Grimy, Stone, and Green have with the dev-blog is that it portrays ROLE-PLAYING as EMERGENT GAMEPLAY. That's it. There's no need to have an anti-efficiency attack over it. And a few more of these for emphasis:
