  1. We know exactly how it works. I don't see how it could possibly be good if we already know that it's terrible. We had a whole thread about the auto-grouping system last week, funnily enough. For the last time, I am not going to actively choose to be grouped with level 50s with low dungeoneering levels, which is exactly what's going to happen if I use that system. There's no two ways about it -- it sucks.
  2. Who do you know that you'll only be grouped with bad teammates?? It could match you with good teammates just like doing it manually. Almost no one has tried it so nobody knows for sure. And you're also assuming that the system only matches based on dungeoneering stats. Who knows how it actually works and whether it will always match you with bad teammates or get you good ones? NO ONE HAS USED IT. That's my point. Because people like you seem to have a preconceived notion that auto-grouping automatically sucks because it will only group you with bad teammates. Why people can't give it a chance is beyond me. It doesn't take levels into consideration at all (other than for what floor you choose, obviously), which is the problem. If people in world 117 use the auto-grouping system, you're going to be grouped with four people from world 117. Yeah, there's a very slight chance that you might get a good teammate, but IT'S WORLD 117. It wouldn't be any different on any other world. We know exactly how the auto-grouping system works, hence why no one uses it -- it sucks!
  3. I'd say a rough estimate for an average 117 team is 1.5-3 hours per large, which is absolutely terrible. Being picky about your team-mates is like adding countless hours onto your life when you consider this. I would argue that soloing medium floors is far more efficient than using 117 if you have no other options. :P
  4. When was I upset? I thought it was pretty funny. As you've said before, could is different than do. Did you say you make yours killing frosties? Indeed it is, and elite players 'do'. I make money killing TDs primarily. Actually, I'm F2P as of yesterday, so right now I'm pretty much idle.
  5. I lol'd. I'm not a big fan of PP, so I'll probably try this out. My only criticisms would be to clean the guide up a little and expand on some parts (like the "beauty of it" part).
  6. So instead of people handpicking POTENTIALLY good teammates, you want people to be auto-grouped with terrible teammates right off the bat? People stand around shouting because they want to be able to choose their teammates based on various factors. I can guarantee you that a 130 with 80 dungeoneering has a FAR better chance of being a good dungeoneer than a level 50 with 40 dungeoneering. Auto-grouping would actually increase the amount of time you spend looking for teams and completing floors due to both quitters and genuinely terrible players.

Sir Kurity, you also have to consider that part of the "-insert AFK skill- experience" is the fact that you do other stuff at the same time. What's the difference between seeing a movie in a theater and seeing it at home? The experience of being in the theater with your popcorn, your soda, and the gigantic screen. If you focused all of your attention on your character cooking those rocktails, it wouldn't be much fun, but no one does that (or very few people do). Because no one does that, arguing that cooking isn't fun per se has no basis in reality, and thus it's not a valid scenario to base your argument on.
  8. Pro dungeoneers don't necessarily discriminate based on combat level. If you're being rejected in 148 for being a 125, it's because the teams you're trying to get on are just 117 randomers who went to the wrong world (which is why 148 is starting to suck) or your dungeoneering level is low. That said, having a higher combat level is ALWAYS better than having a lower combat level, so there will always be a little discrimination if you're not 135+.
  9. I THINK she is saying that this may be more effective than standing around for hours shouting for the perfect group you want... That's exactly what I'm saying. And it's HE. :P Oh, and who knows how fast it takes when the auto-grouping rooms are actually used. No one uses them! And on that note, no one has any right or knowledge to say that they suck because there's never enough people in there to even test whether it's good or not. On the contrary - if everyone used the autogrouping system, you'd have a guaranteed chance of getting at least one (likely four) awful teammates. No exceptions. Good dungeoneers wouldn't use them, and that's a fact.
  10. Definitely go with the maul for safe pvp. It'll make up for not having turmoil/extremes/etc.
  11. Yeah, 148. You'll probably want to key yourself. Also, DGE members will usually take people who are 80+.
  12. Choose a floor that night spiders appear on (preferably a higher floor), and solo it (medium). When you get to the boss, simply leave the floor without finishing, then repeat. Keep doing this till you get one. I have no idea how effective it actually is, but I've heard of people getting their hoods within a couple tries.
  13. You're still upset that people make 4m/h?
  14. Bring the extra prayer potions for your second unicorn (you don't need to bank every unicorn). There's no way you would be able to get 150-175 outside of CT fiends. Hell, 190 is about the average at CT, and that's with an iron/steel titan (I'd say 200 is average with steel titan and chaotic maul).
  15. I agree. I was really hoping for truly EPIC rewards. I suppose there's still a chance that some of them are amazing, but I would've really liked armor sets.
  16. This month looks incredible. Warped floors - OMFG. New minigame (D&D?) - Sounds very interesting. New monkey/desert quest - Finally. Bank update - OMFG. The bad news? I'm F2P for two weeks. <_<
  17. It'd be slightly anticlimactic for the last boss to drop the longsword. :( Anyway, the mage boss should be another Kal'Gerion demon. There's still one more general, then Kal'Ger himself.
  18. Since slayer was released. A scenery change doesn't make it any more or less of a grind. Slayer monsters are not all the same, FYI. 1. I think killing stuff is inherently fun. 2. I think MASSACRING stuff with a steel titan/cannon/extremes is even more fun. My original response was mostly facetious, as I realize that not everyone likes slayer. However, I would hardly call slayer a grind. Combat is the only thing that I actually enjoy doing in Runescape, so I've never felt like I was grinding while slaying.
  19. I have two answers. 1. Get your rapier back. 2. Get a maul and skip going to Bandos (which isn't good without overloads and turmoil anyway). You'll have a lot of fun with it at TDs and whatever PVP you do.
  20. Ah, I should've made a spear? I made a 2h. -.- I'll give those clans a try. Thanks for helping me out. This should be an interesting two weeks. ;)
  21. Welp, I can see where this is going. Anyway, to be a little more on-topic: Someone in a H&A thread had a pretty good idea for getting a hood (for people like me who don't have one). It's really simply, so I'm kinda surprised I had never heard about it. You just choose an abandoned 2 (I think?) floor, solo it (medium), and just leave when you get to the boss, killing every spider on the way there. Rinse and repeat. I'm definitely gonna try it when I get P2P back.
  22. How is *facepalm* genuine good advice? Tell me that...and i didn't insult anyone except that person. Did you not read everything else he typed?
  23. Can you please stop insulting people who are giving you genuinely good advice? <_<
