  1. Wow, I totally forgot that you can boost your construction level really high. I'm 70 construction and I was planning on getting 75 for gilded altars, but I don't have to. Thanks for reminding me! This is spam, sorry.
  2. SD. My laptop has a very hard time handling HD. It can hardly run SD as it is.
  3. I like that idea. Maybe we can have low level skillcapes, too. I want a cape for my 80 Fletching and 70 Construction!!@@12!! Just kidding, I don't like your idea.
  4. I love how you're spamming this thread, complaining about a picture that you don't like. No one cares. If his picture hurt your feelings, go to HYT chat and make partyhats till you feel better. Red Partyhat: 320.4M 3rd Age Mage top and bottom: 93M Dragon claws: 33.3M Cooking cape: Priceless.
  5. If you don't have a Yak and run out of Super restores before he's killed, then it is luck based. What? It means that you didn't get your brew/restore ratio right. Again, nothing to do with luck. That's bad planning.
  6. I really don't agree that it's luck-based. I beat him with four brews left the first time I pulled my strategy off well. It's more about executing everything perfectly.
  7. If you enjoy slayer, you can save those chins for your nechs tasks. Can't answer your question, though. Sorry.
  8. You can get 60k from him/her multiple times a day.
  9. I just want a new Sea Slug quest so I can make a "This is your brain on slugs!" joke. I want a new Sea Slug quest so we can finally get acolyte armor.
  10. Get 94 Herblore next so you can greenman's ale(m) to 96.
  11. I both agree with and like this idea.
  12. Wow, awesome. Good luck to everyone, especially on getting a DFH and visage.
  13. LOL. How in the world did you do that? You have to click on the item and CONFIRM that you want to spend your points on that item. I don't get it.
  14. Dunno if I'm posted on this thread yet, but I would consider agility to be the hardest skill for me to train. I can deal with runecrafting and mining, as both skills can make you money as you train them. Agility is an extreme test of patience and mental fortitude for me.
  15. PVP statues, 76king, etc. All of the horrible updates meant to cater to lazy PKers that effectively destroyed the economy.
  16. Lies, you probably can't even afford a whip. <3: Congratulations, buddy.
  17. He's already answered that. Multiple times, actually. Again, you can't really compare his experiences to you or I, Grasle. By the way, your post helped me beat Nomad. Thanks for the tip about hiding behind the pillars during his illusion stage.
  18. Most Runescapers will never own a Divine Spirit Shield or a Blue Partyhat.
  19. Soma's opinion is perfectly valid. He's a very high level player, so beating the monsters isn't the problem; rather, it's the supplies used that dictate - for him - which monster required more effort (or money). For me, personally, the Avatar was much easier than Nomad. I used Piety and a Saradomin Godsword (thanks, Nate). I was able to get to the second and third roots before him. The first root took me by surprise. Once you reach a certain point in this game, difficulty becomes a matter of cost rather than skill. Nomad eliminated that rule for all but the most elite of players. I think they're still waiting on a monster that can truly best even them.
  20. I can tell you without reservation that my eighth attempt, which was successful, was the first attempt in which I pulled my strategy off perfectly. Don't belittle the achievements of others. EDIT: Sorry, I should say near perfectly, as I didn't get my brew to restore ratio exactly right.
  21. No, it doesn't. Totally did in my opinion, set a new standard for quests which beats the usual "stick up protection prayers and hack away at it." Well, Nomad pretty much came down to tanking him with a ton of food/pots. So instead of 'stick up pro prayers til it's dead' you get 'stuff yourself with tons of food til it's dead.' Doesn't really sound like an improvement to me. I like the daggnanoth mother quest boss though, bosses that have random weakbesses you need to exploit instead of just, oh, let me tank the thing to death. What tactics players use while fighting Nomad totally depend on their stats. If you're maxed combat with soul split, you can stand there and tank him till he's dead. If you're not, you can't. I'm nearly maxed melee with 90 summoning and 82 prayer, and the three times I tried to tank him, I failed miserably. Tactics are absolutely necessary for players like me, which include lower level players.
  22. And how exactly did you accomplish that? Besides a divine spirit shield, it can be done using a phoenix necklace. Technically your HP does drop below 30, but it comes right back up fast enough to not notice it. I used two of them.
  23. That skeleton thing on top of the chair looks a LOT like a Mahjarrat. I didn't notice it during the quest at all.
  24. Finally beat him on my eighth attempt. Here's what I used: Full void melee with void ranged helm in inventory. Fire cape, dragon boots, fury, berserker ring, Zamorakian spear, with hand cannon in inventory. About 16 brews, 7 restores, two phoenix necklaces, fire titan pouch, titan's constitution scrolls. Res of the my inventory was full of rocktails. I had a tortoise full of rocktails, brews, etc. I prayed piety and rapid heal. I took doses of the following before going in: Sara brew, super restore, super set. I melee'd him with ZS until he started laying mines, then I ran backwards and towards the pillar to drag him over. I continued melee'ing him until tele'd and charged, at which point I hid behind the pillar. Once he used his hyper beam (it's super effective!) I came out from the pillar and continued to melee him. When he used his illusions, I would hide behind a pillar and wait for them to disappear. This gave me ample opportunity to heal up, drop vials, and calm my nerves. As soon as his illusions disappeared, I ran out from behind the pillar and continued to melee him. When he tele'd and barraged me, I'd switch to my void range helm and hand cannon, put on my phoenix necklace, get my HP to 113 (from 97), and start firing. This is when I would use my specials. He'd hit me, I'd heal up, rinse and repeat. When my tort was empty I dismissed it and summoned my fire titan. I had my quick-button for summoning set to familiar info so I could call and heal. When Nomad went beast mode, I flicked on protect from melee and tanked him. I finished with four brews and one dose of super restore left over. Close one! IF YOU'RE USING MELEE AND YOU CAN'T USE SOUL SPLIT, USE PIETY. I used curses my first seven attempts, and switching to piety made a HUGE difference. I'm absolutely in love with my new cape, and I'm still debating what I'll spend my zeal points on.
