Leveling Dungeoneering
I thought DGS was an elitist clan? And TY for the help  DGS Is 70+ dung mainly now and at 40 dung u will more than likely be kicked in a heartbeat. Azeem pretty much nailed it though on what to do at 40 dung. DGS teaches people people to be pro at dungeoneering. Hardly elitist. We recommend 70+ dg to use the chat, but as it's not a requirement, you will not be kicked.

19-Apr-2011 - Items Kept on Death Changes
111M Xp I've seen 1 Hex, 200k is just a stupid price. I'll tell you why, higher level players only join some floors in hopes of seeing a soulgazer or getting a bow, it's an added bonus to a floor, being able to buy it is a waste of time because well.. It takes the fun out of that, then it's like "Soulgazer - so what.." pretty much what an Edimmu is now. So saying 107 Dungeoneering is when most people see one, well there's people like me who have only seen one and seen plenty of gazers. When I was close to 120 Dungeoneering I had over 6M tokens, with nothing to spend it on, I would have liked 2M an extra bind if I'm honest. I hate that everything must be a rare. If everyone can get a Hexhunter bow and use as third bind it's better than people going around "Oh i am special i got a bow!". A team of five hexes (assuming three binds) would suck. 200k tokens is two days of casual dungeoneering for me.

You mean buy hexhunters to be used in Daemonheim for a certain amount of tokens? No thanks.

Questions about hexhunter bow
Faster, higher hits. :P I think Michael or Andy have already hit the proposed max on a t11 mage that we had been looking for for weeks and weeks when we were first testing sniper vs. desp.

It's amusing to me that 3BO'ers would get so upset and defensive when told that their desperado rings didn't work with their hexes. GG. now brb buying t10 desperado

Dungeonsweepers (DGS) - Huge changes; read first post.
The first time I ever did any "pro" dungeoneering was at around 90 dg with Grimy's perm team. It was an abandoned floor. 17 minutes. I had no idea what was going on the entire time. I basically ran around at random trying to be helpful (but failing) and ggsing when told. It's a lot to take in at first, but you get used to it quickly. Can't wait to see you in the clan chat.

YET ANOTHER ANNOUNCEMENT! WHEN DOES IT END?! So the primal pick thing kinda-sorta worked, but it's definitely random and possibly a little condescending. After much prodding from Sir Izenhime (whom I love anyway) and some brainstorming we've come up with something that makes a lot more sense and actually serves a purpose outside of culling RSOFers from the chat: DUNGEONEERING TRIVIA! It essentially works the same way - mods in the clan chat will ask newcomers what that week's trivia is, and if they don't know it, they get kicked. Previously we were having people give us proper answers to our sarcastic question, and it just . . . didn't look good, nor did it really help much. The added benefit to this is that you guys and gals get to learn something you might not have known every week. Hopefully this appeals to everyone. We'll keep a running list of trivia in a thread on Grimy's forum in case anyone would like to read through it in the future. You can find the weekly trivia in the first post of this thread. Here's what it looks like, along with this week's trivia: [spoiler=-Weekly Trivia:] This section is simultaneously meant to educate and provide a way for moderators in the clan chat to check if newcomers have read the guidelines. When asked by a moderator you must respond with a short summary of the weekly trivia; failure to do so will result in an immediate kick from the clan chat. You may respond with past trivia, if applicable, though it is discouraged. Week of: Monday, April 18th, 2011. Hope Devourer (level 101 dungeoneering boss) will target any players not using the protect from melee prayer. If every player is using protect from melee, Hope will switch at random. Thus, one player (the blocker) can stand between Hope and the rest of the team and pray melee, forcing Hope to target the mages behind the blocker.

Trolling aside, I'll take this as an opportunity to reiterate what the guidelines say. We don't allow non-keyers to bind plates and non-hexers to bind arrows, we prefer speed and efficiency, and place a lot of emphasis on teaching people. Our average teams do ~30 minute floors (that's mostly people below 100 dungeoneering, mind you) and our warped 3-bind teams do 20-25 minute floors. Very unlike 3BO, really. Because no other clan serves the same purpose. Nope. Nein. A handful of us have to use 3BO for our high warpeds, unfortunately. Can't steal something that's readily available. I'm not sure if ignorance counts as being blunt. no u It's a clan for pro dungeoneers and people who want to be pro dungeoneers. Doesn't get much better than that.

Tds weapon
Better or easier? Doesn't the rapier still always trump the maul IF you can deal with the clicking required? The problem is that you'd have to be pretty superhuman to consistently control a steel titan, manage void helms, soul split flash, juggle potions/drops, switch between a two-handed ranged weapon and a one-handed melee weapon w/ defender, darklight, etc for at least twenty minutes (single overload trip) without losing any time on your rapier hits. The same goes for using a unicorn while switching between rigour/piety, albeit a little less-so. EDIT: A basic rule-of-thumb is that if you're losing attack turns on your rapier, you need to be using a slower weapon or else train yourself to switch perfectly for prolonged periods of time. Another rule-of-thumb is that anywhere a CLS is better than a rapier, a maul is better than a CLS (not entirely true, but true in most cases). More-so when you consider that the best ranged weapons are 2h.

Tds weapon
CLS and maul only become better when you have too many switches/actions to reasonably keep your rapier attack speed consistent. If you're using a crossbow (which you shouldn't), CLS becomes easiest to use. When you're using a handcannon or Karil's xbow (which you should), maul becomes better. In a nutshell, anyway.

I'll add it if it becomes a problem, and I'll unbold it on the DGS page. We were hanging out in Daemonheim doing nothing when we saw a level 57 asking for a small f25, so we decided to join (all four of us 107-118 dungeoneering, three of us 138). He had an argonite 2h and a zeph plateskirt bound. A minute into the floor someone finds a night a spider . . . it happens to drop a hood. Made the guy's week: What he says in the chatbox is hilarious because it sounds eerily similar to:

Questions about hexhunter bow
No pots or prayer. Do c6 5:5 small furnished Sagittare floors, and definitely hunt for them immediately. EDIT: Grimy disagrees with me . . . let the witchhunt begin . . . The problem I see with that is that I don't think I'd be able to find 4 people to hunt for Sagg arrows with me =[ Jimi is spoiled, he can get 4 people to drop hunt with him whenever he wants. Being a head of DGS lets you do that :P. Hence i recommend patience. DGS does drop hunts all the time. ;) I know two people did drop hunts today and Nick did a sagi arrow hunt yesterday. But yeah, just pop in and ask. If I'm on I'll usually do them 'cause furnished bosses are kinda fun. Oh and just so you know my horror story - I saw two gorg and three prom arrow drops from trio before I decided to just do a sagi arrow hunt specifically. I don't want others to feel my pain.

What is up with all the usual money making methods going dry?
Two good, consistent moneymakers for lower levels are collecting mort myre fungi and green dragons. There's a good fungi guide somewhere in the AOW and a great green dragons guide on Grimy's forum. EDIT: For reference, fungi is at least a few hundred k more gp/h than runecrafting while green dragons are potentially double gp/h of rc.

Questions about hexhunter bow
Every time you hit 188 or higher with your hex, you'll see the max damage splat. Sniper is pretty simple - you just hit your max a certain percentage of the time. So say, if your max is 400 on a monster and you have t10 sniper, you'll be hitting 400 half the time. Hex on t10 sniper has about twice the DPS of a primal 2h with turmoil on t11 mages.

Questions about hexhunter bow
FML I wasn't sure if Michael was posting or not so I went ahead and wrote all of this even though he covered most of it. :( - Bosses: All abandoned bosses, necrolord, flesh, runebound, skeletal sorcerer, gravecreeper with ragers and/or strong ranged pots and/or ranged armor, blink under the same conditions as gravecreeper, world-gorger if there's two to three hexes on the team, and the mage form of Kal'Ger. Can also use it against dread but it's not very effective. - Monsters: Mages, books, demons, dragons, necros, reborns, edimmus, soulgazers, seekers, skinweaver, stormbringer, merc leader, skele mages w/ ranged armor, low-level shades (best strategy for shades, IMO, is to hit once with hex and switch to melee - they're not particularly weak to hexes), brutes (works much better with ranged armor), dogs, hobgoblins, level 3/4 monsters, ghost room ghosts (not normal ghosts; not 199 ghost room ghosts without armor) and I'll add anything I think of later. - Ring: Set your ring to sniper and berserker. Desperado does NOT stack with the hex effect on normal monsters - the 20% damage boost (t10 desp) will only apply to the initial ranged strength bonus, thus Sniper is better. Sniper also conserves arrows (very important for hexes) and allows for more strategic hexing (sniping mages in future GDs or getting a couple shots off as a keyer running through the room. It's possible but inconclusive that desperado is better on bosses, however. Always run into a GD with sniper on unless you can see ahead of time that there are no mages; switch as necessary during a GD. - Arrow collection: Collect larger piles of arrows throughout the floor (both yours and ranger drops). Again, ammo conservation is extremely important. - Room-clearing: As the hexer on the team, it's your job to take out mages, obviously, but it also means that it's everyone else's job to stay away from your mages unless there's tons of them. ;) - Making brutes, dogs, and hobgoblins angry: Pick up t10 bow drops from rangers and use them over your hex on these monsters. - Ghost room: Aggro every ghost on you to save the rest of your team prayer and food. - Ranged armor: Learn to make ranged armor lossless. - Ramokee rooms: Everyone should be on the deathslinger while you take out the stormbringer after the skinweaver is dead. - Monos: You can aggro shades quickly with your hex, but this isn't usually necessary. I'll add more if I think of it.

Well apart from almost being caught by the initial come closer attack, you did good. Bit off topic, how long are you supposed to wait so you don't get caught by the first come closer? As soon as he starts the attack animation.

Kinda funny that your lowest skill is one level lower than it needs to be for dungeoneering. Anyway, so long as you read and understand the guidelines, you're free to use the clan chat.
