  1. Just rely on Tip.It for help on quests or any other stuff for that matter. And never allow external sources to influence your opinion or to lure you somewhere where your gut instinct is to get the -BLEEP- OUT OF THERE!
  2. You know, I've often wondered if Jagex should introduce lessons in trading when the players are on Tutorial Island. Or, I think most players are spoiled brats who have never really cared about money and its intricacies. If those kids who are underage play the game, they should at least have basic knowledge of the ins-and-outs of trading, and not begin to wail and curse about why their coal isn't selling on the GE. Oh, and they also have to begin applying some of the brainpower into the situation. Humans were born with intelligence, as the dominant species on Earth, and we should not let some noob crying out about his coal damage our collective reputation. Oh yes, this also applies to the bigger kids (those above 13 and playing the game) too... -.-
  3. I think you're right. With the correct prevention (PINs and PROPER PASSWORDS), you can NEVER get hacked. And don't you DARE rebuke me!

I'm 12, and I'm F2P and I've never been and never will be P2P. I THINK P2Pers ARE TOO MUCH! *end of comment*
  5. There are auto responders, how effective they are depends on the time put into it. When I used to macro, I made a very nice auto responder. I kept logs of everything that happened, and there were entire conversations between my macros and players that thought they were talking to real people. I don't mean any normal conversation. I mean the bot must be able to LEARN and respond to any normal person outside of his woodcutting area. The bot must LEARN. LEARN!
  6. I think the Report Abuse function has to be revamped. It has to allow players to report bots more effectively, not have them waiting for 30-second intervals. GRR And we also need the help of players to weed out those -BLEEP- bots. If that happens, the number of bots will be decreased drastically.
  7. Given the amount of work in RL done towards beating the test and failed, I have my reservations about when the botters can do so. In the end, all bot functions are scripted, let any experienced players watch them and it's easy to tell who's who. The problem right now is JaGeX is not utilizing their large player resource effectively. Make a system stronger than reporting and we'll decimate botters. If a bot can pass the Turing Test, I MUST say it will be a turning point in the history of mankind. Most of the current bots nowadays can't even engage in conversation (pardon me if I am mistaken). Perhaps in the future it will be "That's one small step for a bot, one giant leap for mankind."
  8. If bots get more advanced as time goes by, WE (Jagex included) will have to step up efforts to root them out. It is theoretically possible for bots to become so advanced that the artificial intelligence within them will be equivalent to that of any normal RuneScape player. Thus, I propose that Jagex employ more people to work on the bot situation. Not to mention us ourselves, who are extremely crucial in the fight against some group of mindless robots. I HATE THOSE -BLEEP- BOTS!
  9. Happy Birthday, Mr Gower! And don't you dare give me any more rubbishy updates on RuneScape!
  10. Saradomin is a liar. Zamorak is evil. I prefer Guthix.
  11. 1. Have fun on RuneScape 2. Complete The Ultimate Guide to F2P (most likely by Easter)
  12. Since I'm F2P... Head: Blue partyhat > Rune full helm (g) > Wizard hat (g) Ammy: Amulet of magic (g) Cape: My trusty yellow cape (I can never go without it) Top: Rune platebody (g) > Green dragonhide body (g) > Wizard robe (g) Bottom: Rune platelegs (g) > Green dragonhide legs (g) > Wizard robe (or skirt - I don't exactly know) (g) Gloves: Green dragonhide vambraces (g) Boots: Fancy boots \ - lol Ring: Diamond ring Shield: Rune kiteshield (g) Weapon: Rune scimitar > Maple shortbow > Staff of Fire (F2P doesn't have nice weapons)
  13. Just the pleasure of seeing my character work like hell and get lots and lots of gp in return. I simply craft airs and get money off the GE in return. THIS IS NOT RUNESCAPE! THIS IS (ARE) THE GE(E-PEES)!
  14. For runecrafting, it isn' t as profitable as smithing. Making steel bars by buying iron and coal, I think you profit somewhere around 140 gp per bar, as for runecrafting, the trip to the altars takes too long, and runes are cheap. For woodcutting, not possible with all the bots. Allthough, you must also point out that smithing is, whell, completed. What more can you add to this skill? All you could really add is graphical improvement, not alot more. Atleast, I don' t see any flaws. For runecrafting, simply buy your essence and craft your way to lvl 66. Well, it takes quite a lot of effort but you will be rewarded in the end with one of the most profitable money-making methods in F2P. AIR RUNNING (but this time you're the crafter). :-w For woodcutting, go to any of the populated worlds at the Edgeville yews. I specifically like World 1, where the respawn rate is fast and most of the people on World 1 are trading, not going to cut yews. And the Edgeville yews are (most of the time) devoid of bots. The bots prefer the Falador triangle or the Rimmington yews. Although I must admit that your point about bars is rather relevant, buy the supplies at the GE, smith them into bars, attempt to sell the bars to other players or put them on the GE. I got rather put off the last time I tried this method as it NEARLY drove me to the verge of insanity (even though I made big bucks with it).
  15. I would advise Jagex to take a rest, they have released quite a lot of things this month. So long as the Development Diary for Summoning comes out, and the Christmas event is a fun and decent one, then I can say that December can be a month where Jagex needs not release any big updates. They can leave that to next year. =D> Although I am praying extremely hard that Summoning will be released for F2P too...
  16. He's simply reporting you for being a lvl 3, as he's assuming all lvl 3s to be autoers. But did you check if there were any autoers around at that time? You could have mistaken his "reported" as been directed towards you, not towards the autoer. That's one reason why I hate autoers, if they didn't exist, none of these things can happen!
  17. Personally, I've found smithing to be extremely boring. Sorry for the "constructive criticism", but I feel that for F2P, runecrafting or woodcutting can be more beneficial to your pocket.
  18. Err...walka92? The longsword hits 5 times in the time a scimitar can manage 6. Anyway, I agree with the rest. Although I'm not so sure if members prefer to use dba special over the dds. Most of the member training guides usually recommend the dds, but I cannot really say for sure as I am F2P.

There's a thread called "Arrow Thieves" in the Debate Club. READ IT. You'll know what to do after that.
  20. Yeah, I finally saw it. They were yelling about a 1M drop in the party room in World 3 yesterday. Practically hordes and hordes of people rushed there. It was simply a guy who put full guthix in. People were running about shouting, "OMG OMG FULL GUTHIX" and it was hell. Anyway I wonder who was the lucky person who got the drop.
  21. Just for F2P itself, Jagex has released two MAJOR updates: the Grand Exchange and the Assist System. WITHIN THIS MONTH. Never in my RuneScape life has one month been so momentous and so...well...I'm out of words. And considering that I'm F2P, it's been a wonderful month of goodies. 3 cheers for Jagex! I hope they release Summoning slightly faster, AND MAKE IT F2P! The Christmas event had also better be nice.
  22. What items? Ok, firstly, a newspaper. I put one up on the Exchange for 1 gp, thinking that no one was going to buy it, and within SECONDS of my offer, it was snapped up as I was leaving the Exchange. Who on Gielinor does that? Seriously, I think the price of ashes will rise soon. Other than that, I can't think of any other items.
  23. That's funny. The only time I saw bankers talk was when I watched the cut-scene where the Wise Old man robs the Draynor bank. Other than that, they have been keeping rather silent.
  24. BAD. Bots keep the market price way too low for the commodities they deal in. The RuneScape market can function perfectly well without bots, as legitimate players can trade their resources at prices which are higher without a hitch, as more players will be compelled to start retrieving their commodities by themselves due to the high prices. Off-topic: W00t! 100th post!
  25. No, I still feel that Jagex has been fair and rather just in their implementation of the rules. People should not go about swearing or scamming and getting themselves reported. I have not swore (or scammed) a SINGLE time in RuneScape since I joined last year. Although your suggestion to allow the oldest black marks to be removed is rather feasible, people may again yet have a relapse and go back to their original ways. So I suggest Jagex implement HEAVIER penalties upon those who break the same rule (e.g. Rule 1) again, like for example giving them 2 black marks instead of just 1. It would deter would-be bad-mouthed people and other noobs.
