  1. I usually am self-sufficient, except when I need to get huge amounts of commodities and cannot spare the time to get them myself (like the 20000 essence I bought for runecrafting). Self-sufficiency is much cheaper than buying the resources. DUH.
  2. There is just as many autoers as before, and just as many logs in the economy, the autoers start rumours then jack up thier prices. Go to a f2p world walk to a yew tree and telle me they were all banned. NO. Jagex has been banning autoers recently. In fact, they have Mods on the job to take out those pesky bots. And no, not ALL of the autoers were banned.
  3. People can take all necessary precautions and YET GET HACKED...thus all of us need to pray hard that our accounts don't get hacked. But just stick to the virus scan, firewall, anti-spam, normal things, and I believe you should just be fine.
  4. Jagex has been banning so many autoers lately, thus I presume that has caused the price of yew logs to go up "into infinity and beyond". Demand goes up as supply comes down, and prices rise, and buyers get angry, and sellers get happy. I in fact love the price hike, my yew logs can now sell for...sometimes close to 400 ea.
  5. Thanks pantim. The dragon mace's attack boosts strength like crazy, uses up 25% of the special bar, and owns the longsword. But a DDS would be better if the player had a low attack level, as the DDS boosts BOTH attack and strength. The dagger also hits 8 times if 100% of the bar is used. Compare that to the specials of the Dragon longsword, scimitar and mace and the Abyssal Whip. They all PALE in comparison.
  6. With the autoers becoming more prevalent in the Runescape economy, they do play an important part as they keep prices of commodities down for people to buy greater stocks of them and use them for various purposes. Look what happened when Jagex started banning all those autoers: the price of yew logs (quoting a good example) went up from around 250-300 ea to around 300-350 ea. The buyers were extremely -bleep- off. Autoers can also have negative effects, such as when the sellers get not very happy when the prices of items gets pushed down so far. Thus I still believe the economy can function perfectly well WITHOUT autoers, as more people will be coerced to train their skills to get commodities, and the prices will be quite stable in the long term with short-term fluctuations from time to time.
  7. I haven't been in RuneScape for very long, thus I can't say much. But I agree with everyone else, Mining hasn't had anything much updated.
  8. I AM SICK OF YOU -BLEEP- MEMBERS TELLING ME SUCH THINGS! I don't believe that firemaking and woodcutting are "just as easy" in the F2P world. Try me, Plod2, neonihilist and triforceelf. Attempt to woodcut in F2P using an F2P, non-ex-member account. Then we'll see who's being an imbecile about such matters.
  9. How about combining the best of both worlds and display BOTH the total level and the combat level? But I should restrain myself from saying anything more, lest someone lambast me for suggesting something that would slow the game down.
  10. same over here but it would be awesome with a dragon warhammer (best weapon ever) Thankyou! warhammers are awesome!!! oh but um i'd say use both have d scim in ur invintory while use d long specs then switch to the scim which is faster War hammers are extremely slow. They are also powerful but not that accurate, much like your spelling. LOL. Dragon warhammers haven't been released yet! Zeinias, please improve your -bleep- spelling!
  11. It is the weapon's ability to deal CONSTANT and GOOD damage over time that proves it to be an effective implement. Man, I agree with this! All members and F2Pers should think like this! Pantim, the scimitar IS dagger speed! And it attacks near longsword power. I say it ROCKS! The abyssal whip hits harder than the longsword, has the speed of BOTH the scimitar and the dagger, and looks like a string of sausages. How fashionable when you whack the Moss Giant in front of you. Only bad thing is that it costs millions. NO. I CHOOSE THE DRAGON SCIMITAR. (OR THE ABYSSAL WHIP.)
  12. The skill should be Fletching. As many other people have already mentioned, Ranged is the only F2P skill where non-members can't get their equipment easily, as the arrows require cash to be spent on buying arrows from members. Some people say Agility, but I disagree. Agility is unfair to those who trained it, as PKing in F2P Wilderness would be extremely lopsided. It also would require agility courses to be opened up to F2P to allow them to train it. For Fletching, all the resources for fletching bows and arrows are already present in the F2P world, EXCEPT for flax fields.
  13. I believe and hope that the economy will not be affected greatly, although I am positive that the prices of commodities will suffer greater plunges. This update completely degrades the old traditional skill of merchanting by making it SO EASY for anyone to pop in and dump so many rubbishy things into the Exchange or for anyone to put down ridiculous prices when selling their stock. I, personally, applaud Jagex's move. Scamming risks will be reduced and I can finally get buyers for my air runes... :D
  14. Sometimes, for them to survive, gold farming is the only way in which they can earn money. Although I do not like macroers keeping the prices of commodities down, as I'm a F2P yew woodcutter.
  15. NO. Would anyone like it if their work that they have been working on for years suddenly gets decimated? It will be impossible for the number of lvl 99's to get really high, as not many people have the perseverance to continue to that stage, thus Jagex will not have an excuse to reset the game.
  16. Yes, there is something wrong. It's called random events ;) Unless you love to be AFK all the time, I still think my method of Curses is better. I am mortally afraid of trying to AFK after the last time I died at the Deadly Red Spiders due to randoms because I didn't keep a lookout. Lost part of my Rune set. I usually play with the sound off, thus I can't hear a thing when I play.
  17. Oh really? Are you a member, RUNESCAPEfantasy? Or are you a complete -bleep- about F2P stuff? HAVE YOU CONSIDERED THE COST OF THE CHAOS RUNES WHILE USING THAT SPELL? Seriously, people like you have to stop being *cabbage* and start using your brains, or Runescape society will die. Although, I would unreservedly apologise if you prove to me that you have the money to buy the runes for Crumble Undead ON AN F2P ACCOUNT.
  18. Hmm...how about asking Jagex Mods or Andrew yourself? I would say they do, but not exactly very thoroughly. One of the old news reports on the Runescape website has Andrew recounting his visit through the middle of Ardougne on his lvl 3 members account, which actually got him rather *cabbage* off as he nearly drowned "in a sea of 'noob's and 'lol's". Their randoms are also just deterrents to autoers, and it is not wise at all for us to call them detrimental to overall xp gain rates. They do not disturb me as often as some people say they do. We cannot judge on how much the Mods play on their personal accounts just by looking at the updates or the randoms.
  19. All of us should use our brains. OF COURSE WE NEED SUCH THINGS!
  20. ok i tried 20k curses before. it just that my fingers got crammed and numb. with this method i only need 1 click and a healthy finger. Ok, fine. You actually can take short breaks to relieve the stress. You need not blow so much money on the runes needed for Fire Strike/Bolt/Blast. Instead, use a water staff, buy the bodies, and mine rune essence at Aubury's before crafting the earths. Wear the following items. They will give huge amounts of negative Magic bonuses. 1. Rune full helm 2. Rune platebody 3. Rune platelegs 4. Rune kiteshield 5. Amulet of Power/Strength/Defence/Magic (it doesn't really matter, although I do not recommend using the Amulet of Magic) 6. Green dragonhide vambraces 7. Stronghold of Security Boots Now go to the Monk of Zamorak in Varrock Palace. He is locked up inside a jail near King Roald. Repeatedly cast Curse on him to get excessive Magic xp (in fact this is one of the best training methods for Magic in F2P). Besides, you also get both Runecrafting and Mining (although the xp for mining rune essence is miserable) up too.
  21. Of course! The benefits of Wilderness capes in F2P are many, like (as many people have already said) P2Pers and F2Pers being able to work as a team more efficiently, or like preventing teammates from accidentally attacking each other.
  22. Worst place: Wilderness (I'm F2P) Scariest place: Still wildy, although I do get nervous around the lesser demons below Karamja and on Crandor.
  23. Nice guide! I just seriously hope I don't blow my top and cause myself to be muted. It's definitely beneficial to all muted people.
  24. Cheats? Jagex should ban those who used them! Anyway, I agree with you, wkw427. Runescape has lost that punch that I remember when I first joined (F2P). It just simply is different. The old Runescape is simply a memory, an imprint that is irremovable yet removed one step away from our hand.
  25. NO. People who get scammed or massacred due to glitches are supposed to take responsibility for their losses and start over again. Period.
