Really from the sound of your problem it seems the route cause is your computer in-capability to handle the download of new information. Can be caused by a few things: Not having an administrator account, viruses, out-dated browser, out-dated java, an over-protective firewall and confliction via your internet source. Try posting your computer specs here and i'm sure someone can help you figure out why this is happening.

You've obviously never argued with an idiot then. All they understand is more idiocy. I think really people wanted the longer timer for mini-games and such. I mean if you just got all geared up headed over to Mortanya (i know i spelled that wrong) and just saw the 3 minutes timer pop up it would make you pretty mad. And just imagine the people in the fight caves too.

I agree with name1 and name2. Really kids are exposed to this stuff at an early age, hell, i saw x-rated material before i turned 10. I do agree they are acting immaturely but also the people speaking against the losening of the chat filter are showing so major lack of knowledge of the subject.

Not really, the novelty quickly wears off. Even I, more immature then most, quickly tired of saying words I can already say irl. I agree, for example, if your outside everyday and love it then suddenly your kept inside for a month, the second you get let outdoors again your gonna run like hell and jump and scream till your satisfied and you will be back to normal.

No, but visiting a page can give a hacker a direct link to your computer making it easier to attack and bypass securites measures and implant an key logger (this is based on the theory the webpage is directly set up for hacking).

I agree on that. Skill would be lame, minigame sounds great. The only problem i could see with it being a mini-game is if Jagex implemented everything in that post. Something of that size is more skill oriented and not mini-game really.

My password for runescape is by far the most complex i use. Trying not to go into detail, but i use not so common personal information combined with pieces of my passwords to various other sites. Its unguessable thanks to my twisted sanity and it would take years to crack with the brute force method.

Well, I personally would make bloods, then deaths, then laws. But what I think really turns people off is that you cannot bring armor and weapons. Just went there, they are not harder to kill as before. At least not if you fight them face to face like I do. (I can still stay there for 2 hours with unicorn). so again, in a big font: They are right the same to kill as before, as long as you dont use safespot and prayer switch like you should! Drops are rarer now though. I agree, i killed them face to face, so nothing has changed for me. They need beeing up def wise, damage wise and maybe make them switch attacks more often. Probably the only way to really make them tougher. [/hide] Congratulations on telling us the obvious in huge font! It says DROPS ARE RARER and they will attack you better in a safespot. I dont know what they were doing before, but I saw people using range and corner hopping. They are now harder in that aspect. No where does it say their armor is beefed up or their attacks are stronger... You might want to read more carefully! :shame:

Really i heard when diaries first came out that they were going to use them to trim the Quest Cape once they had enough of them. So i'm waiting for that :thumbsup:

When someone says your "Lucky" it means you have a greater fortune than them (not the money type of fortune). Players realize that most of the time the fortune is self made. Lucky is just a lot faster than saying "Oh god job on the hours of griding and money making to get that particular item or level and i'm so jealous of that!"

Someone posted in another thread today an idea with boats for fishing. Just think about about what we could do with sailing skill, lets say Jagex puts in a port city where all your boats are docked, you can buy and/or build certain types of boats and the kinds and number of boats increase as you level. You can use those boats to sail to islands filled with exotic trees for woodcutting, use a boat for fishing and like mentioned earlier maybe pirate battles against other players! I use google just out of habit. I really need to start using Yahoo search, its actually a lot better from the stuff i have heard. Glad to see RS up there in the list though. I did get a screenshot a few months ago of RS being number 5 in the daily popular search.

In many countries and/or with many internet providers, one can ony download a given amount of data each month. Not to mention, having two users at the same time slows down his connection. So yes, he is doing harm. Yeah, for one most people buy the $20 unlimited bandwith package, i don't think most companies offer anything but that anymore. Its 2008 not 1988. Not to mention the fact if someone did have a limited-bandwith package a decent wi-fi router would cost them the price of a few months of internet service just to buy the router. And all routers tell you at setup if you do not encrypt your signal ANYONE can access it. 1. Any "federal crime" that would be reported through Jagex would take weeks if not months to be proccessed. 2.Using a neighbors wi-fi signal is not against the law in most states and is not in federal jurisdiction if it was a crime.
