Manga/Anime Discussion
Wait, so is that filler arc in Bleach over? The one that started right after they all finished their little fights with the Ex-Espada and I think Renji and the Quincy dude finally beat No. 8. (EDIT: Ah, I remember the creepy mad scientist captain showed up and helped them kill him. So I guess the other captains had shown up too. I'm getting the manga and anime mixed up lol.) Somewhere in there. Cuz that's when I stopped watching. Meh, my memory of it is all fuzzy. I stopped reading the manga when the "Turn Back the Pendulum" thing started too. So where is Bleach right now and if the filler is over what episode do I start at.

Blahhhhhhhggg, internet mobile cards SUCK. It takes like 6 hours to upload anything to YouTube. So my Ramblin' Man vid still isn't up. But I took my Wii to a house with networked internet, and got some DLC. Both guitar duels Electro Rock Anything Salute Your Solution Hold Up Life In the Fast Lane Hot Blooded No Rain All of them are pretty fun. I would have gotten more, but my bro lost his 2 gig SD card and the only other one I could find was 256MB. It can only hold 10 songs. We're going to need that 2GB if we want RB2 DLC, so I'm pretty pissed that he lost it.

What games have you beaten 100%?
Oh yea! I have 100% on both Metroid Prime games for GC. Neat endings both. Bah I hate you. I haven't even beat MP2:E yet. On MP1 I have like 97%, MP3 I never tried getting more before doing my Hyper Mode playthrough, which I haven't finished yet. I had 97% on MPH, but I missed a few one-time scans  MP1's ending is epic. I don't think I've actually gotten 100% on anything . . . Wow. I would say OoT but I don't think I ever managed to get all the gold skulltulas or get enough Poes for that last empty bottle.

Which Christmas Tree is the best?
Get a real tree. This year we got a balled one and we'll plant it in the yard after Christmas. Thing weighs 300 frikkin' pounds though. That was fun to drag inside.

People it's the amount of eggs the average woman produces in a lifetime. Each one has the potential to be fertilized by a sperm and is therefore a potential child. Quit splitting hairs.

FC'ed Ramblin' Man :D I got it on vid too, it's uploading to YouTube now. Man that uploader takes forever, and on an AT&T card it's just murder. I have decided that WT >>>>> RB for that song. The RB2 version is really weird, I don't care if they call it a master track it's not the same version WT has, which is what it should sound like. And it's horribly charted, the verse/chorus is just ridiculously overcharted and the solos aren't as good. Plus the slider notes make the outro more interesting. [hide=And here's the pic of Up Around the Bend FC] Holy crap forgot to resize . . . ah well.[/hide]

Do you like to read?
Oh I like the short story better. The story just works so well in the short story format. Short stories don't get enough love. I'll list some awesome ones: Flowers for Algernon Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge The Things We Carried The Black Cat, Cask of Amontillado, Pit and the Pendulum, anything else ever written by Edgar Allen Poe Rain, Rain, Go Away, because it's so ridiculous. Isaac Asimov was a wacky dude. There's a crapload more short stories by him, that's just the one I always remember.

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts
VC? Or less . . . legal means? The reason I ask is that I don't know if it's on VC as my Wii has no online at my house. I want it if it is.

Do you like to read?
Flowers for Algernon is not a book, it's a short story. IT is a good one, however. :) It is both a novel and a short story. The novel makes some slight changes and expands on the short story. It is the same story though. And yes it is very good.

You're reading the wrong kind of fantasy if you're reading Eragon. That's all the fantasy I find at the local library though. Your library kinda sucks then. I say look harder :P Or go to a used book store, you can get paperbacks in places like that for < 3 bucks. I got a hardcover of Winter's Heart by Robert Jordan for $4. And there's a good series to keep you occupied for a while, The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. After you've read A Song of Ice and Fire of course. I just finished reading the Time Paradox, latest in the Artemis Fowl series . . . bit juvenile for me now but I have to finish what I started. [hide=Mini-rant about critics of the book]It was not a bad book at all, in fact I really liked it. People say it was terrible . . . maybe because the general audience (age-level) the books are aimed isn't yet able to look at the book in perspective and see what it role it actually plays in the overarching series. Quite a critical one, in fact. Artemis can't keep conscience at bay forever, people.[/hide]

You're reading the wrong kind of fantasy if you're reading Eragon. I've been really getting into Shakespeare lately. I really didn't like him before we started reading Macbeth this year, because the previous two plays we read in school were The Merchant of Venice and Julius Caesar, not his best. Though I think I would appreciate them more now, as I was a freshman and sophomore respectively when I read them. Anyway, for my copy of Macbeth I got a huge book with nine of his best comedies and tragedies, so it should be some good reading. Also really liked The Picture of Dorian Gray. It was just so interesting.

Anyone who likes fantasy or fiction in general must read A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. Four books, fifth coming out sometime this decade hopefully. Best contemporary books I've ever read. I'm not kidding. Read them. Note: Adult fiction. No sheltered kiddies. I'm not kidding about that either.

Twilight.
Seconded. Though when forced to choose between Inheritance and Twilight, it's a toughie. I would rather read Inheritance, though it does come out to be slightly the worse of the two, if only narrowly. Also, stop comparing Twilight to Harry Potter. HP is not a fad, is 1000x better written than Twilight, Rowling > Meyer, and it will not pass into obscurity. The first book was published almost twelve years ago now.

-1 ON RAMBLIN' MAN. IN THE OUTRO. Out of pure habit I held a yellow note because the next one was a yellow, and it was a slider and made me miss before I could strum it. GOD DAMN I am so pissed right now lol.

Now that I've started writing more regularly for the school paper I'm gaining a bit of a reputation for that genius writer kid. No idea why.

HEROES SPOILER!!
They had bits of the next two episodes filmed. Basically the vial hit the floor instead of Peter catching it, and Nathan got sick while trying to tell everyone about the quarantine instead of being shot while trying to tell everyone he could fly. And technically season 2 ended in an explosion, when Peter nuked the vial in his hands.
