I'm with you. I swing between joyous wonder towards the beauty of life and the universe, and desperate hatred towards the constructs of society. Life is undoubtedly a wondrous thing, but actually living in the world of today is crushing. Your options are limited, your choices are restricted and most people will never realise their dreams. "Is this all there is?" is a something I ask myself on an almost daily basis. Sometimes I think that. It sucks, though. So I try to just keep on going. But it's rough. There are just moments where everything comes crashing down. You just get that feeling of hopelessness deep down ... It's really hard. But, then I notice all the good. I generally focus on that. The simple pleasures. The, bear necessities.

I've certainly considered this notion. I don't believe there is an end or anything to advancement, although it is hard to see where we're going next, but, I believe that soon we should actually have more of a Rome. I see those colonial empires as Greece.

Heh. I took the GAP test today, well technically a former one, but same general thing. I made a 77 on it. It's a college-level journalism entrance exam. I thought it was neat.
