I found the cure, make your room messy enough to be unsearchable by parents, yet clean enough for you to find everything and not have to clean your room, if you have a computer/laptop in your room make it passworded - can be easy, but unlikely guessable, a few words without a space are great eg fishcanswim (and if it's a laptop set it so it goes into sleep mode when you close it) all seem non-suspicious and are great ways to stop intrusions. Also having a section of a drawer you "never use" for stuff works well to (I keep a backup of my phone data on a flashdrive in a drawer next to my bed, because I never use the drawer otherwise)

Why did nobody ever think of that!? coz of RSPCA and PETA and The Greens Party :wall:
  3. but Lenin, you would nuke anything anyways... #-o
  4. had a similar story to gbpackers31, except my dad saved me. I'm so glad he noticed :ohnoes: once fell of a slipery dip when I was 2 and apparently hit my head really hard, all I have to remind me is a part of my eyebrow is missing because the hair won't grow where I hit my head it's the right eyebrow btw, so I like long hair to hide it, but I got the eveil haircut on Friday, so everyone laughed today at school :(
  5. Mamong is right. There's only one problem - The icons come back after a reboot. The best thing to do is copy all the icons into a folder and bury it somewhere, maybe in a program files folder or something, and then delete the ones on the desktop. This way most of them don't come back (I think some, like My Computer and Recycle Bin can't be deleted, but there's another method to remove them). Kinda funny for a few minutes, but really amateurish. Batch files are a lot more fun. Wait...Can you write a batch or an executable that hides the icons, and have it run on startup? Research time! ya it's possible (start-up batch file) 1. Create a shortcut to the batch file. 2. Once the shortcut has been created right-click the file and select Cut. 3. Click Start, Programs, right-click the Startup folder and click Open 4. Once the Startup folder has been opened click Edit and paste the shortcut into the startup. Any shortcuts in the startup folder will automatically start each time Windows starts. can't find anything on a batch file that hides the icons though EDIT: another fun thing is to make a batch file that says " taskkill /im explorer[Caution: Executable File] /f end " have that run on start up and it will close the taskbar while loading :XD: that way they can't use things such as window key + *letter* or Ctrl + Atl + Del to bring up the Task Manager which will really annoy them

  11. well I recently made a 'virus' (basically scans the directory and it looks like it is deleting everything) and decided to test it on my friend, so I named it private data and changed the icon to to a folder and left the computer, when I came back he looked so sorry, so I told him what it really was [note] might get it off the school computers on Monday and put it on my sisters computers :XD: either that or write another one and put it on...

  13. None at all. I linked you to the US page, and there doesn't seem to be an Australian education store, so you're kinda out of luck there :/ there is, you just have to look hard enough, and it went like this US - Asia - Australia and would swap between them every page, it got so frustrating :x
  14. same here  I dunno how I'd be without it :ohnoes: for me it went like this start up > create account > dl firefox and I love FF3 no problems with it

I got an iriver E10 for my birthday last year and it is great, best MP4 player I have ever seen \ I just have 1 problem.... I cannot find out which video formats it will run. I have to put the video in by drag-and-drop method (as it even states in the instruction manual) but the store I got it from ([bleep] Smiths) do not know which formats. Can anyone from tif help me? if there is any other information you need I can provide it (this is all the info I hope that you will need.) Thanks in advance. :
  18. thanks, the Adobe site is STILL changing my country every page  EDIT: so I'm looking at the site and I can't decide whether I should get CS3 or CS3 Extended, is the extras justified of the cost? (with Extended being a few 100 dollars more)
  19. I'd make a really powerful router, that had a huge radius (giant LAN area ftw  ) , and buy games so me and friends could play LAN games, and use an intranet instead (which is NOT the internet, it is a sort-of internet but is only part of the network, rather than being on the web) but I would make a rediculously big and random password, and if I could figure out how to do it, the computers would need a program, because the passwords would autochange, and the programs would keep the pws in sync, so then it would be unhackables (unless you got the program :wall: ) ya, I do have a huge imagination
  20. So summed up, your argument is "I don't think I'm better than anyone else, I just think gays are worse than me for acting the way they do". Whatever. See, I'm not anti-religious but this is what annoys me. You believing you're so much better than anyone else because a religion founded 2000 years ago tells you that you are. What evidence, or even what right, have you got to call homosexuality a sin? Unless of course what Jesus really meant was, "Love thy neighbour, hate thy gay". In which case, I apologise for my complete misunderstanding of Christianity. I myself do NOT hate anyone, only some things they do, and I know plenty of christians who think that, I do not see myself as better than anyone else I see myself just as equal as others and christianity (and the catholoics) were really part of the Judaism, it started out as Judaism, then the Jews rejected Jesus, those who didn't became Christians (they may have been called Catholics not sure :-k ) then later on they split into Catholics and Christians due to a pope adding some way of 'paying' for sins to lessen your time in purgatory, so technically it started 6,000-10,000 years ago
  21. errdoth, is there a difference between the normal and student products? other than price? just looking around, and I can't find the price is AUS dollars, not to mention it changes my location EVERY page -.- it's really annoying me, not to mention my friend forgot the program
  22. You're actually trying to tell me the world will end with angels swooping down, destroying everything, followed by a dragon? :| I go to a Catholic school, even they suggest that Revelations shouldn't be taken seriously, let alone many parts of the bible that don't involve Jesus... Uh, I think the Human Race will fall under medical terrorism. Trauma Center, anyone? what kind of school is that? a school with it's roots in the bible is saying for it not to be taken seriously?
  23. Sorry, but that just seems like a bit of a leap of faith for me. Are you saying babies are born with inherited original sin? We all grow up in the world around us, i'm sure many children do "sin" but surely a newly born baby can't have sinned, yet they still enter into a world of death and imperfections. I am not to sure on whether a baby inherits sin, but take a look at toddlers (who I was reffering to when I said younger) they will often scream and disobey their parents, they always want to have the best/be the best, I often get annoyed at this, not only because they shouldn't do it, but also because it reminds me of how much I was like them as a toddler  Well I will hope that you convert to atheism, because I wouldn't want more of the people on TIF to live under the false hope of a second life in heaven (amongst other problems), and not be able to fully appreciate their first (and only) life to the full. I'd feel... Actually no I wouldn't feel responsible for it. But its a shame anyway. not live our lives to the full? are you kidding me? trust me when I say God can take you places you never dreamed you could have gone. We are people, like you. Yeah, we don't go around swearing, getting drunk, doing drugs and being violent, but if that is something that we are 'missing out on' I think I would prefer to miss out on it actually. Some things you miss out on is miracles, healings, saving people and releasing demons from people (no I haven't be confronted by a possessed person yet)
  24. Revelations sums it up pretty nice (Bible)
  25. to those who ask "if God loves us, why did he create hell?" my answer is this: Hell was never intended for humans, but instead Satan and his followers (those 'fallen' angels, aka demons) but since Adam and Eve were decieved by Satan they 'joined' in with the Kingdom of Satan rather than the Kingdom of Heaven. Which brings me to the next question "why does God let all this bad stuff happen in this world?" Simply because we have allowed sin to enter the world (once again from Adam and Eve) {about as much as I can talk about on the subject unfortunately} another question I get asked alot is "why must I pay for Adam and Eve's sins?" Well actually believe it or not you are actually you are paying for your sins, as I can guarantee all of you have sinned, yet as a child or younger you are considered to be saved until you reach the point where you can make your own decision on whether or not to follow God, and you become responsible for your sins and are free to choose whether or not you follow God. Please, I beg of you to not base christianity off people who say they are christian, but aren't they are worse then those who defy God, because they put people into the belief that they are 'saved' yet are not. If anyone is interested to know more about the christianity that you may not know (yes christianity does vary alot, in my church we have elderly people jumping about and they do like the mordern songs we listen to, we have one guy who writes all the songs we sing too, it's mad fun : ) I'll be glad to share my knowledge with you, if anyone is interested in becoming a christian, I'd be happy to talk with you aswell. I will pray to God that more of my friends at TIF get saved, because I don't want to see my friends go to hell, I'd just feel so responsible for it
