Like I said, they're just some RuneScape screenshots with cheap effects and text slapped on them. If you're actually serious about making signatures or other art, take a look at some tutorials at for example http://www.deviantart.com. It's a start, but you really need to do a lot more than this.
  2. I don't. :-# This one looks great IMO.
  3. ^ Colour version isn't too bad IMO, but obviously B&W is better. It's a nice signature, the only thing I'm not too sure about is the chunky white border parts, I think just one pixel white/black all around would have been better. But overall, great job.

Yeah, well I got the idea by seeing the render which was drawn in a foreshortened top down perspective, like if it was popping out of the page. But I guess since I used only a part of it the effect isn't very obvious... Don't get me wrong, you did a good job on letting the render pop out, but I just don't like the concept of the effect at all. I've seen it in other signatures too, and I didn't like it there either. :-#
  5. ^ I meant adding one or two lighter shades, for more contrast.
  6. Signature: I like it, my only criticism would be that the area around the render is too bright. But the flow, blending and colours are good. Pixel: Cute little pixel and great concept, but a bit dark maybe. Try adding some more highlights. And yes, I'd love to see a little penguin in this style. Edit: It was a good signature and still is a good signature. The edits aren't very noticeable (to me), but it looks great.

If you're looking for feedback on these you should post them in the main Gallery, not here. The Art Bazaar is for requesting art or setting up free graphics shops. Don't expect lots of positive comments from us though, these are mostly some RuneScape screenshots with text slapped on them. EDIT: Reported this topic, so a moderator will move it to the right place soon. :)
  8. The wallpaper and signature look ok, just not really my style but not a lot wrong with them. I don't really like the lines either though. The stock signature isn't your best, the flow is decent and everything but it just looks a bit... empty.
  9. Like said before, the second and third ones look quite good, but the first one is just too chaotic and messy for my taste. The colours there don't really work either. Overall, all of them are pretty simple, but not too bad.

Both look pretty nice, but I don't like how the render pops out of the signature in the first one. Other than that, not bad.
  11. Looks great so far, hand and arm = :o. The only thing I don't like is the shading on his face, it seems pillow shaded. Don't get me wrong, it works sometimes, but I think you used a bit too much of it here.
  12. I kind of agree. It's certainly not bad signature, but I'm not a big fan the colours. They all seem quite bright, especially those of the clouds. You did a great job on the guy's face though, it looks very realistic.

^ Seems like a good idea. The avatar looks quite good. I'm not a big fan of the black outlines, but they're probably just your style. No real C/C, it looks good and I can't see any major mistakes.

Shouldn't this be in the questions sticky, since you're asking for help? Anyway, I don't really know any other sites, but I can definitely recommend http://www.deviantart.com too.
  15. The text is a lot better on this one, the colours are ok too. I think the background could still use some work though, try smudging one for example.
  16. ^ I don't think that would work. Nice brushes, downloading them to see what I can do with them. The signature and large piece look really good too, though I think the signature could do with slightly more contrast.
  17. Looks pretty good so far, I can't really see any mistakes.
  18. I don't really get it. Are we supposed to make it like a comic (like badphooeybad did), or one big pixel?
  19. *even louder heavenly chorus* Nah jk. :P Penguins? :uhh:
  20. Believe it, or not, but there is only 1 gimp defualt brush in there. The rest are downloaded from places like devart That's basically what I meant, I'm not a big fan of all the different brushes and I don't like the Gimp default brush you used. The new version of the LP is better, but I'm not sure about adding even more brushes.
  21. Not bad for a first. The second version look decent, but could still use some more blending in certain areas. Try smudging some parts to make them blend in more, instead of just colouring the background with colours from the render. The text and render placement is pretty good though, but I think the text would look better somewhere else and not on top of the render. Also, you might want to add a border. It's really easy to do: Select All (ctrl + a) -> Stroke Selection -> enter desired number of pixels. Keep practising and take a look at some signature tutorials at for example http://www.deviantart.com, they're really useful. Good luck!
  22. The text is a bit too big and distracting I think. The background is ok, but seems to lack flow and is quite messy because of all the C4Ds. Don't be afraid to erase some bad parts with a big soft brush. Also, the render seems distorted, probably because there is a filter on top of it. Keep it up though, you're improving.
  23. ^ Agreed. I'd at least remove some blur from the render. The background looks good, but like Kaphias said, her face is too dark making it hard to see details. Overall, not bad, not great.
  24. Sig 1: The main problem is the text, it's partly over his head, which is not a good idea because you'll probably want that to be the focal. Same with the motion blur, I'd erase some of it off his face. The blending is quite good though. Sig 2: Not a big fan of it. The text looks quite bleh and all the different fonts make it seem messy. Also, it might just be me, but I can't see what the render actually is. :uhh: Sig 3: Looks decent. I'm not a big fan of the bright green in the background, it doesn't fit the render. But maybe that's what the requester wanted, so I won't blame you. Sig 4: Probably my favourite out of these few. It's fairly simple, but the colours work. The text isn't too bad either. Abstract piece: Don't really like it. It's not really bad (flows quite well for example), but I just don't like all the different brushes you used (Gimp default brush = :uhh:). I can see what you're trying to achieve with the splatter brushes and the red C4D on a blue background, but it just doesn't work for me. The brushes seem the biggest problem, they make the piece look slightly messy. Pixel: Obviously still very much WIP, so I don't have a lot the say yet, but some of the lines could do with being a bit more straight or a better curve. His body, for example, looks pretty messy because the lines are really squiggly (not sure that's the right word).
  25. ^ Different background, better render blending, more interesting colours...
