  1. It's not completely accurate and the perspective is obviously different, but maybe it will help anyway. Try drawing a stickman with the right proportions and in the desired pose first, then you can start adding clothes. It really helps a lot.
  2. First one: not a big fan of it, the weird choppy border looks pretty bleh. I think the banner would look better as a rectangle with just a simple border. (And why are parts of the edges blurred whilst others aren't? :-?) The effects and background are ok-ish, but a bit simple and the brushes don't really stand out enough. Also, the render could do with some actual blending, instead of just blurring the edges. The text isn't great either, it could be worse, but stands out too much IMO. Second one: The text is better here, but is still quite distracting (although that was probably the look you wanted). Again, the render needs to be blended more and the background is quite boring, looks like three brushes on a dark grey background to be completely honest.
  3. The new sig looks pretty good, I like it. I'd say tone down the scanlines a bit though. I also really like the base for the collab with rm, the blending/effects are great. Sorry for the short post, I don't really feel like writing a lot.
  4. The hair could use some blending, it does indeed look a bit choppy right now. The background isn't very interesting, but not bad.
  5. :D Both look good, but I'll focus on the penguin for now (not that hard to do for me haha). It looks good, but the dithering is indeed a bit random. It's usually a good idea to start with placing different shades next to each other without dithering, and once you're done with that you can start dithering the edges to make the transitions between the shades look smoother. Like this: oooooooooo oooooooooo oooooooooo oooooooooo oooooooooo And then this: oooooooooo Etc. It's usually best to use the above pattern for dithering (like you did with the letters, good job) instead of randomly placing pixels. Just keep practising, I'd love to see some more pixels from you.

Great shot, commented on dA too.

The first one looks decent, but you definitely need to blend the render more. You should try to avoid placing text over a focal point too, like you did with the guy on the right.
  8. I agree. Other than that, you might want to blend the render more. You just can't expect it to blend itself, especially not here because of the contrast between the render and the background.

Julius pretty much said it all. :P It's not bad, just lacks blending and the text isn't great. http://www.deviantart.com is a good site for tutorials. Try looking at a few of them, they're really helpful.
  10. Really simple and boring. Like yaff said, if you were actually to put some more time and effort into it, it would be decent, but right now I'm not sure this was worth posting.
  11. It's not a bad signature, but I think it's the colours that put me off. The green, pink and blue just don't go together. I think the effects are a bit messy too, there are just too many and that doesn't help the flow. Like I said, not bad, but not great IMO.
  12. ^ Sent rm the psd. Though Mediafire seems fine to me. :-?
  13. It actually isn't that terrible for a first pixel sig. The main problems at the moment: Anatomy of the character, it is really quite off. I can't really help you with this, try reading some tutorials/books on human anatomy. Colours and shading: the sky seems very dark for a day scene, and the gradient from light to dark seems very unrealistic. Try using less colours and dithering too. The grass, some parts are pillow shaded and it could use some texture, looks really flat and... well, not very grass-ish. There are probably some other things I missed, but these points stand out for me. Listen to kemikalkadet's advice too, it's good.
  14. Everyone here certainly has improved a lot. I'd show some of my terrible stuff, but I lost a few really old pixels when my hard disk failed a while ago. I do have my first render signature made in Gimp though (which I was so proud of when I had finished it ): I remember drawing the border pixel by pixel with the pencil tool simply because I didn't know another way to do it...
  15. This looks like it should be in the Art Bazaar, since you're requesting art.
  16. Yep. You didn't make it + you're only asking for ratings, so Forum Games seems a better place to post this.
  17. Looks pretty good. My only criticism is that the planks of the floor seem a bit... over-shaded if you get what I mean. They could do with a little less or lighter shading near the sides.
  18. ^ That + what littleboy said. You might think it's funny, but that doesn't necessarily mean you should post it in a somewhat serious art forum.
  19. Have to agree. The last one looks pretty good actually, apart from the brightness (could be toned down a bit), and it could use a simple border and better text.
  20. I like it, apart from the border that is. The image looks good, I like the colours and the C4D towards the right just works well. But please get rid of the border. :(
  21. Yes, the designs are indeed random. :P I don't know, they don't really look bad, but I don't like how they're cut off at the edges and they aren't terribly interesting. The photos are ok overall, I really like the first one though. Shame the whole thing is tilted a bit.
  22. Cool. : Want me (or someone else) to work on it more or do you want this to be the final picture?
  23. ^ I'm afraid that's not a pixel, seems more like a digital painting.
  24. The first one is good, but the second one is even better. I love the water drops on the leaf, those details really make the picture for me.
