  1. ^ No way, the first one is hawt. Sprite's colours need to be adjusted slightly though. Also dsavi, it still says the shop is closed on the signature form's hide thingy title. And you might want to add an optional section to the form where people can specify which artist they want to make their signature (though obviously that artist wouldn't have to do it).

Your current one is amazing, I want it... :(

Not a big fan of it. The background looks ok but lacks depth and it's pretty much just some brushes, try to use different techniques like smudging. The background colours don't really fit those of the render, and they're a bit too saturated which makes them quite distracting. I don't really like the border, I'd use a more simple one. Some problems with the text too, its not too readable and the font and placement could be better. I'd go with either a simple or a more medieval-ish font, but the one you have currently is too... funky.
  4. It's alright, but like cowboy said, it's usually not a good idea to use RuneScape characters as a reference for anatomy/poses. Other than that, it's ok, but quite boring and the shading seems a bit messy. Set a lightsource and shade using that, try not to use too much random scribbling and make sure your lines and curves look clean.

Saw those on dA, I quite like the first and last ones. You might want to remove some of the black brushings to the left of the render on the first signature, or making them into clipping masks could work too. The purple in the middle is a bit weird in combination with the brown/grey-ishness, but I don't really mind it. Not a big fan of the second one, I like the concept but the contrast between the smudged right side and the left side doesn't really work IMO. The last sig looks good, but I think some more contrast and a brighter lightsource (the bright spot on one of the C4Ds in the middle) would be nice.
  6. Also, the background colours don't fit those of the renders, which doesn't help the blending either. The render placement could be better too, use the rule of thirds (Google it if you don't know what that means), basically try not to place render near the sides too much.

^ Pretty much agreed, there are too many effects (that don't look great IMHO) and different background styles. Also, the stuff around the sprite is really distracting, remove the white thing please. Sorry if I sounded harsh. :|
  8. I like the smudging and colours on #1 and 2, not sure about the clipping masks near the sprite though. The third one I really like, but I'd get rid of the distortion (looks like displacement) on the pentoolings. Half Life one seems more like a base for a signature than a finished tag. :-#
  9. The version with the new sprite looks pretty good, although the colours could be more interesting and like Thru said some more foreground effects would be good. Not a bad signature though.
  10. I'd like to join, but don't kill me if I'm busy and can't do any requests for a while. :-# Examples here. Also, you might want to add some rules, like the artist don't have to do your request if they don't want to and no pixel/digi paint requests.
  11. The signature looks pretty good, but try to create some moar depth with different layers of C4Ds/smudging and blur some of them. I like the knot photo, the shadow isn't really a big problem IMO. The last piece has potential, but it doesn't really work for me (yet). Get rid of the tech brushes plawx, they're getting repetitive.
  12. The first one is alright, but get rid of the black stroke with the text on it. The background is pretty boring here too. Background is better on the second one, I don't really like the overcontrasted feel of it either though. The text placement and font aren't great, try not to place text in corners.

Better, but erase some of the filteriness of the focal like Sid said. Still using PhotoImpression? :(
  14. #3 + 4 from the OP = <3. Canihaz.psdtooplawks?
  15. Have to agree, it's just too messy and chaotic. The distracting background doesn't help either. I do quite like the colours, though.
  16. I don't think saving in the wrong filetype was the problem here, it just look like you pixeled something and then made it smaller, and the edges automatically got anti-aliased in the process. Either way, it looks pretty good, especially the remake. Ssome of the tree's branches need to be slightly thicker though, and the shading on the trunk seems off. One side needs to be darker than the other one, instead of having the darkest shade in the middle. I'll give some more comments when you update the signature.
  17. #1: looks alright, but I agree you need to erase the white brushing off her face. Other than that, the background's colour scheme is pretty boring with just the blue and white, the left side is better though. The font you used for the text is ok, but the colour doesn't really fit and placement in corners in usually not a good idea. #2: A step back from the first one I'd say. No real blending and hardly any colours from the render in the background, which is quite boring. Text is too distracting IMO. #3: Looks fairly good, the colours seem a bit washed out though. The background/text is better, but get rid of the scanlines. Some improvement, keep practising and looking at tutorials.
  18. Looks great. I just think the sword's blade needs some more darker shades/detail (like you added where it hits the ground), it seems too bright compared to the rest of the painting.
  19. I like it, wouldn't say it's your best though. Needs something added to it IMO, like a C4D. And maybe get rid of the weird grey thingy in the bottom left. Also, this is probably a really stupid question, but are we looking at the sprite's back or front? I don't really get what the guy is doing. :-?
  20. #1: Doesn't work for me. Too much blurry smudginess to the left and right of the focal and like Rainy said it seems to lack flow. #2: Not enough colours from the render in the background and again, some areas are too blurry imo. #3: Version 2 looks pretty good, I think the others lack contrast/darker colours. #4: I like it a lot, the wireframes r gud. #5: Pretty good. The clouds (assuming that's what the white spots are) need to be more warped in spirals and slightly sharper if you get what I mean. And maybe add some glow coming from the planet? #6: Quite like it, would have some more perspective if you made the left circle a bit smaller than the right one though.
