KFP Signature
Looks ok, but I don't really like way you tried to blend the render. Just reducing the opacity usually makes the focal look a bit messy, it would be a better idea to smudge the edges for example and leave the important parts of the render (his face, part of his body, etc.) as they are.

Can GIMP replace Photoshop?
--- Not really a topic with a lot of discussion value IMHO.

Pixel WIP
^ What I was going to do, only my edit would be worse. The pixel has some potential, but the perspective really does need fixing. Other than that, not much to say yet, but you might want to add some little orange-ish spots above the flames, makes them look more realistic.

Mah Gallereh.
Love these ones. I also want to know your smudge settings TBH. I tried to do some Soa-style smudging but failed miserably.

Thrus Gallery!- Newest - Sprite Sig.
Great work. I agree about the monotoneness of some of the signatures though, I'm not a big fan of it. If you have weird coloured spots you can try to make them fit in by brushing with a soft brush on a new layer in the desired colour, then set it to colour blending mode and reduce the opacity. Doesn't always work obviously, but it's worth giving a try.

Free Sprite Signature
Sure, you can has it. [img=http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/5081/spriteblahfreedk9.jpg] @ Thru: I used a small splatter brush that I got from dA (set is in my favourites I believe). Spacing 0, rate/strength/whatever 50, jitter on at 0.20-0.40 and hard edges on.

Free Sprite Signature
Well, I was bored and decided to make a signature. It's pretty simple and I'm not going to do anything with it so it's up for grabs. Just post here if you'd like to have it and I'll decide who can take it (it would help if I know/like you :P). I won't put any text on it though, since I just can't get it to look right. The only rules are you must use it on here and credit me.

Better, but again the text colour is bad. Try white or something else that fits the colours of the background.

Follow Charlie's advice, he's cool. Other than that, the signature needs some colour and more interestingness... Try adding some other, different brushes to spice it up a bit. Also, the text is pretty bad, bright yellow + B&W + greenish render = no win. Also, it doesn't seem like the curly font fits the signature (so far). Keep working on it, though.

New MySpace Page (for cowboy14)
Not bad, I also like the background and its colour scheme. I feel the C4D could have been blended in quite a lot more though, it really stands out because of its bright colours. Also, the C4D itself seems pretty... boring compared to some you used for the background. Oops, I just noticed I pretty much said the same as Jason did on dA. EDIT: Not really a fan of the scanlines either.

So I went to the US and took some photos...
Some great shots. I love Washington DC 2, that little squirrel is so cute.

coolness evil?
I can see a mouth and nose, but if the things I think are the eyes are indeed the eyes they're really out of place. :-?

^ Made me laugh... Small text is very true though.

Newest Sig - Superman.
Rather like it, I also prefer the text version. My only criticism is that you went over the top a bit with blending IMO. It would be nice if you could remove some of the smudging/effects off his chest, to show the Superman logo more clearly.

#1: Too simple. The background is just a gradient with some effects on it (which look quite messy and don't really flow in a certain direction, by the way). Also, the render looks slightly stretched. Little tip, if you hold shift while resizing it, it will keep its proportions. The text could use some work too, the simple font doesn't really go with the swirly effects and render (which could use some better blending, although that isn't the main problem here). #2: Same as #1 really, the background is just too simple and the text and render blending could use some work. #3: Render seems stretched, again. The text is pretty horribly too and the red heart is distracting you from the render, which should be the main focal point. #4: Some improvement from the previous ones, the effects and text are slightly better here. Please get rid of the horrible glow though. #5: The effects towards the left could do with some spicing up, other than that it's not terrible. Again, the glow is very... prominent, but I must say it works quite well here. Though I'd definitely change the text, both the colour and font (and maybe the placement too, text in corners usually doesn't look great - there are exceptions though). #6: Very simple and quite boring, but I'm sure you know that yourself since it was your first signature. #7: Best one out of the bunch IMO. Decent effects and it's good to see you experimented with blending modes for the text, although I'd make it quite a bit smaller and change the font to a more simple one (something like on #1). Again, not a fan of the glow, but that might just be personal preference. Overall, not great, but not terrible considering you're quite inexperienced. There is obviously still a lot to improve on, but if you keep practising and take a look at some tutorials (try http://www.deviantart.com, just search for 'signature tutorial' or anything of the like) you will get better. Also, please don't take this C/C badly. I'm trying to help you, and even though I may sound harsh I'm not flaming you.

WIP signature
Can't really say a lot about it yet, but it's looking pretty good so far. I agree with Julius about his wideness though, I wouldn't really know what he looks like in-game, but I think he could do with being slimmed down a little.

^ I say the same often because lots of people have the same things they need to improve on. I mean exactly what I said, the render lacks blending in my opinion. deviantART has plenty of people that make signatures with well-blended renders, and there are lots of tutorials on how to blend renders. I don't want to turn this into a big public argument/flame war, if you have any more to say on this subject please PM me.- Dithering
Yes, and a way to make transitions between different shades look smoother.- Dithering
Quote from my post on Julius' topic, was too lazy to write it again. :uhh: Bottom line, randomly placing pixels usually gives a messy result. It can be used to texture things, but if you want to pixel a smooth-looking surface, it's probably not the right technique. There are many different patterns for dithering, that you can probably find in some of the pixels guides in the resources sticky. - New sig
