  1. The version without the text looks better IMO. I rather like the border and the 'old' feel, but the swirls at the top seem a bit out of place. Overall it's quite a simple manip, but it doesn't look bad.
  2. The new sig looks awesome, I really like the simplicity.
  3. If you want someone to edit it you'll need to give them the xcf/psd/whatever, we can't do anything without the file with all the layers still there.
  4. Like I said on dA I really like the LP except for the smudging.
  5. Looks great, especially for a third or fourth pixel. I think it could do with a bit more contrast in some areas (like on the wall) though.
  6. The signature looks fairly nice, but I'm not a big fan of the right side. The effect/smudging there doesn't really work for me, I definitely prefer the way the left side looks. The render looks good, edges seem clean etc. Good job.
  7. The stripe is good, keep it. Though the signature could use something like it to the left of the guy as well, would help the flow too. And I'm with Rainy on the border, but overall it looks really good.
  8. ^ Agreed, it's just the same as your previous signature. You really need to read some tutorials to learn new techniques.
  9. It's fairly decent, but the lack of colour variation and the black background lets it down for me. Also, I think it would have been better if you had just used a part of the render, one of the guys' faces for example. Right now the render is a bit small, making it hard to see some of the details.
  10. It's good, but I'd get rid of the sparkles near his back, they make that area a bit too bright and chaotic. But overall I like it. P.S. Get on dA and stop disappearing randomly nub. :anxious:
  11. Oh ok, but for me just blurring usually works too.
  12. Looking at it from a non-artistic viewpoint it's ok, but this is just not something that belongs here in The Gallery. I know TG doesn't officially have a quality requirement, but honestly, this is just a 5 min copy and paste job in Paint, some stats slapped on a RS screenshot.
  13. Why the scaling? :o You're definitely right about the other things though, but I was thinking white pentool lines (since that's what I usually do), so they wouldn't need converting to greyscale.
  14. Ooh hawt. I'll just have 3 please.
  15. Looks great so far, I love the green light coming from the guy's hands. :P The shading seems fine so far, but it does look like you used quite a lot of colours. :o
  16. Ok, I'll just go through them really briefly, so I might sound pretty harsh, but I'm not trying to flame you or anything. #1: Bad colour scheme, it doesn't seem to fit the render and is pretty boring and bleh. The background looks like just a fractal, you need to add something other things to it to make it more interesting. The render could use some blending too, it stands out a bit too much. Try smudging the edges, for example. The text isn't great either, it's too big and distracting and the effect and font colour just don't work for me. #2: Same as with #1 really, but the colour scheme here is better although it could still do with some variation instead of just purple and pink as the main colours. #3: Background is really simple, doesn't flow and is slightly boring. And again, the render needs blending and the colour scheme could do with some improvements. #4: Same as #1. I appreciate the attempt at blending, but usually just blurring it doesn't cut it. I've already commented on #5 and 6, so I'll leave those out. Overall, not a bad job, but there is obviously still room for improvement. As always, deviantART tutorials are your friend.
  17. Like said before, the lines are really messy and need to be more straight in some places. Also, it seems like a traced/copied RuneScape screenshot to be completely honest, correct me if I'm wrong. You can use RS screenshots as a reference for maybe clothes, hair, etc., but not for whole characters. It just doesn't work and makes the pixel look boring. Overall, you didn't do a terrible job fr a first pixel, but there's plenty to improve on.
  18. Lol, that's cruel. But I suppose it worked. :P
  19. You can find lots of great tutorials on http://www.deviantart.com, just search for 'gimp tutorial' or something like that. And yes, I'm answering all the questions today. :P
  20. ^ Probably just http://www.planetrenders.net, correct me if I'm wrong.
  21. Nadril pretty much covered it all, but I'd like to add that it could do with a border too (Select All -> Stroke Selection -> [desired thickness] pixels I believe). Other than that, just keep practising and read some signature tutorials at for example http://www.deviantart.com. EDIT: I don't think there's something like that, but I might be wrong. Anyway, the easiest way to make something glow in Gimp (a pentool line, for example) would be to duplicate the layer and blur (a guassian blur at a low amount of pixels would probably be the best option) the original (so the one beneath the duplicate in the layer stack).
  22. It's not really bad, but the C4D doesn't flow and is very bright. The text could use some work too, especially the 3D-ish effect is bad. Keep practising.
  23. Yes, but remember that you can't use any of the artwork posted there unless stated otherwise by the artist.
  24. Looks decent I'd say. Like Chaz said, the render's colours are a bit too saturated and could do with some toning down, but the flow is ok. BUT. PLEASE don't use lens flares. I'm pretty sure that's what the thing behind the render is, and it's bad. Other than that it's not bad siggy, but you definitely need to remove the *shudder* lens flare.
