QFE. I only do assignments now with people who are interested. Therefore, we get straight As and everyone else gets terrible marks. It's something you just deal with.
  2. ^^ Blatant troll. Don't listen. =P While we're at it, anyone got tips for a truly solid palm mute? I can do it reasonably well, but I can't get the awesome rhythm guitar pwnage that some people do - it could be because I can't EQ my amp worth a damn in my basement either, when I can't turn up the treble for fear of violent feedback (comes from having a hollow-body guitar, too - we need to move out to my shed soon).
  3. So I've just started track this year, because it's the first time our school's had a track team in six years or something (small schools = fail =P). Either way, we don't have a true track, so we can't measure exact distances, but I come in on as close to 400 as we can measure at 1:01. I'm going to zone championships in two weeks in the 200 and the 400 (and long jump, but that's a little beside the point XD). So basically, I come in here for encouragement and tips =P Also going in the 4x100 and possibly the 4x400 relays. Should be fun, even if I expect to do consistently mediocre =P The only bad thing is that we have to leave at 5:30AM and not get back until sometime after 11:00PM. This is what comes from living way the hell out in the middle of nowhereland =)

    Ack. I lost.
  5. It's both. I lean more towards epic win simply because I'm in awe of his skill at keeping 36 guys alive at once. And his setup. But it's turrible, turrible failure because he can't have a life. Still, impressed is the main thing here.

Are there grindcore bands that DON'T sound the same? I was under the impression that there weren't.
  7. The Vox ADxxVT series are pretty good. The 50 watt, I loved, the 100 watt, not so much. I've never played the 15s, but I imagine they'd be pretty sweet. As for the Spider III - I've heard too mixed reviews for me to be confident in buying one of those at all. Some love them, but the people who hate them hate them in a baaaad way. I'd go with the Vox if anything - they make sweet amps. But if you're planning to play with a band, or even just a drummer, save up a few hundred more for a 40W+ tube. My Fender 40W rocks pretty awesome =) You can find fine 50W tubes for $600 on EBay or Craigslist. If you're just playing by yourself at home, go ahead and get the Vox modeler 15W.
  8. Hmm... For you, I'll suggest this German metal band I've been getting into. They're Subway to Sally. That link is one of my favourites - except it seems way to trebly on that video. You can hardly hear the bass. Either way, they're awesome.
  9. Mmm... I will. Don't worry. If I need more volume, there's always the external speaker jack I can hook up a 412 cab to, lol. I've been playing it SO much this last 24 hours... and I am more in love with it than ever. It sounds better than my acoustic on clean - well, not actually, but it sounds... more FULL, more THERE, more POWERFUL. Not more acoustic, but I like it more. And the drive and more drive can crank up pretty hard when I need them to. I was jamming, just playing some hard rock/metal with my band's drummer earlier today, and it was at five (and it goes to twelve =P) and it was balanced well with the drums. And it sounds great. Still gonna get a distortion pedal for it, though. Anyone got suggestions for that? I can't post pics, unfortunately - my virus protection doesn't like photo uploading sites and my parents forgot the password to override it. Sorry =( But basically, it looks like a mint-condition amp.
  10. I GOT IT!!!! Finally. I got my Hot Rod Deluxe. It is SO sexy. Clean channel sounds BRILLIANT. If you search Fender Hot Rod Deluxe demo on YouTube you get a good demo. I'll post pics later today =)
  11. Ahah... Any song competition on the Internet's bound to end in /b/ rickrolling it. =P Good choice though, it's a song I used to hate, and now, I kinda like it. It grows on you really fast.

Cyco, people have been mostly posting funk bands, not bands that necessarily sound like Jamiroquai. There've been about two suggested that actually sound similar to them. Read pl0x? ;)
  13. Yeah, this has nothing to do with anything anyone just said, but I have to tell you guys I'm getting that Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. Tried it out today, and it's as sexy as promised and then some. The More Drive channel gives a way tighter sound than I had been led to believe, and it's just all-round beautiful. I didn't have any cash with me when I went into town, unfortunately - we were told the guy wouldn't be there and just caught him on his way out the door - so my mom left a $300 deposit, and we're getting the amp itself on next Sunday, eight days away. I'm SO stoked =)
  14. Nobody loves youu... ;)

My two most amazing concerts were both Rush concerts. They're SO amazing live... after thirty-odd years they would be... but it was frickin' epic. The best part was when they played Freewill, and on the last line of that chorus, all the instruments cut out and you could hear twenty thousand people screaming the word 'freewill' along with Geddy Lee. Pure magic moment. I've also seen Billy Joel and Elton John. Billy Joel was AWESOME as well - one of my favourite artists. Elton John was cool, but I'm not a huge fan, but still, it was fun. I really want to see Muse live right now. Just getting into them for the third time around and I've heard they're the best live band out there anywhere at all period full stop.
  16. Cool you decided to check it out further. :) $550 is a steal for that kind of amp, and I would jump on that asap. Yeah, thanks again to you That demo you linked me to was just awesome sexy. I'm probably going to go for it... I just hope the guy who's selling it hasn't sold it by the time I get into town in a few days. That'd be SO depressing. Ah well - a few EBay options for around $600 incl. shipping, so that's not too bad.
  17. Haha.. I'm only on it now because no one interesting is online my chat program thing olol. You quit RS? Me too. I thought you hated me ;_; Isn't it funny how we use TIF..... Anyways, where's your secret? -Searches- I'm pretty sure we quite RS at about the same time. I remember coming back into Lightning for a few minutes of chat and someone telling me they hadn't seen you in a while. It's right above yours =)
  18. I'm not attracted to black guys. Which sounds horrible. But I'm not. A random confession: I find nerdy guys hot(?) Well, some. o_o ... but only a little bit. -ashamed- There's something about their lanky-ness that makes me want to hug them. And another: I find myself disgusting to look at in the mirror. No matter how many people tell me I'm "pretty" or whatever, I don't believe it. I think they're lying to make me feel better. But sometimes I put pictures online to see what people will say.. to see if they'll call me pretty (even though I never accept the compliment). And when they call me ugly, I get offended. I find people who find me attractive a bit odd... because they must have low standards to think that. :/ I dunno. W0ngt0ng?! You actually use TIF?!?!? *stoked* Missed you since I quit RS
  19. Me too ;) I'm quite open about it though, everybody I know knows I like girls as well as guys. It's no big deal.
  20. In the market for a new amp right now, and I'm looking at the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. Checked out some demos of it on YouTube and it's sexy as hell. I can pick one up for around $550 - does that sound like a good deal? A couple years use on it, replaced the stock tubes with nicer ones (forget the exact tubes, but I remember checking them out online and they're solid, long-lasting tubes), only ever been used at around four or five for small duet gigs.
  21. Same here. I played all the first three for PS1. Amazing times. I spent endless hours on those games. Great fun.

No, he's saying that even your thoughts and decisions are fated. You won't KNOW that they're fated, but every motion you make is simply the reaction between subatomic particles in your brain causing other parts of your body to 'feel' or 'think'. Therefore, if we predicted the path of those subatomic particles, we would know exactly what would happen throughout your life.
  23. I'm gonna just say that that was a perfectly inappropriate time for that emote. Just throwin' that out there. That said, happy birthday Troll! Many happy returns =)
  24. Hmmm... been a while since I posted here. Thinking about getting back into WoW, what's this about Inscription an' stuff like that? I missed patch 3.0, didn't I? What happened?
