  1. I freakin loled. Hard. Maybe it was because I haven't seen your other videos (yet) but I was totally not suspecting that. And you'd lured me in so much. Loved your music choices, not overpowering like 99% of the videos out there. Voice acting was good, erm, maybe I wouldn't have put quite so many red filters in it. Maybe introduce them more gradually? But anyway, it was great.
  2. Thanks for all your help guys =) Managed to do the woodcutting requirement today, started on farming and sgility as well
  3. You'd get more suited replies if you asked this in the Graveyard Help & advice forum.
  4. The fact is that there are no rules regarding this. OP is merely asking whether (due to the ambiguity of the official rules) people believe that this would result in punishment by Jagex.
  5. I wasn't talking about you. I was saying in general people only use that one word. I'd like a little more variety. And Ez, I don't think you'll be able to buy tasks, just the ability to get this one task if you already have the level to kill it. You're right, you can buy it as a permanent ability similar to making slayer helms. What I'd like to know is why those of us who cannot afford a fast computer/internet connection are being catered for, but those of us who went out and got jobs so they could afford this stuff and then (because of their jobs) didn't have the time to get 93 slayer are being discriminated against! (I hope to god nobody thinks I'm serious though it is a valid point)
  6. After the penguin glitch I thought they temp banned loads of people then gradually unbanned people when they found out the y were innocent? I remember some people being reimbursed membership after this.
  7. So a (very) long term goal of mine has been to aquire the elusive quest cape. 99's don't particularly interest me (at the moment) and it's something I actually respect. Unfortunately my levels are pretty lacking. I'm listing my current levels and the required levels in the skills I need to train as well as potential training methods. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance. AGILITY Currently: 68 Required: 69 Rocking out quest reward will get me there CONSTRUCTION Currently: 54 Required: 60 I think I used to do oak larders for this. Is it still the best way? HUNTER Currently: 63 Required: 65 Currently doing red sallys, should I switch to red chins? CRAFTING Currently: 62 Required: 66 Don't have a clue how to train this, did all my training in f2p. I might just get an extra mage level and do super glass make spell because I do need the mage xp as well. completed HERBLORE Currently: 62 Required: 65 I've been making harralander tars and sup atts to train this. Pretty sure that's the best method without burning too much cash SMITHING Currently: 65 Required 69 I made iron knives for this, but my god that was slow. Was nice to profit by selling with junk but I've run out. Any good ideas? Completed WOODCUTTING Currently: 73 Required: 75 Not sure about ivy xp rates and whether they're better than say willows at my low level but I'll probably just borrow a d hatchet and whack away for it Completed FARMING Currently: 63 Required: 65 Pretty much got this covered with tree runs Thanks for reading this long post. (Ps. I do know about the boosts I can use for some of the requirements though I would prefer not to as I'll have to train them eventually so might as well do it now, also I don't think any of the levels are particularly high (unlike those for certain diaries I've had to do))
  8. Actually it's chefs delight. Greenmans ale is for herblore. I did the seers diary just for the ability to do the fight caves. Enchanted Excalibur is SUCH a useful thing to have, you'll never regret getting it.
  9. Robinhoodie has an amazing guide in the archive of wisdom for range slaying. It's a little out of date but still very useful.
  10. I had to do this as well. Shilo is what I settled on and it was PAINFULLY slow and boring. Remember you can boost +5 with an admirals pie (think I have a couple spare in my bank if you want to buy them) Oh another thing, you can't catch the sharks at every fishing spot, make sure you're at the right one before boosting, I got screwed over like that -.-
  11. Kill green drags in the wild. Seriously, this is the only money maker worth bothering with at low- mid levels Look at the price of dragon bones and green d'hides. You'll make a fortune. A more serious thing you'll want to ask is about everything that has changed since you left, I'm rubbish at judging things by times, so if you could say the last "Big" update you remember, I should be able to advise you better =)
  12. I am going to quote soma2035 who posted this earlier today. It perfectly expresses my views on flipping: (Backround story = Demo (op of this thread) had posted boasting about the fact that he had bought a SOL and had been able to sell it on for a 350k profit after only a couple of days. The problem was that he had bought it from another TIFer who has recently been generously selling SOL to other TIFers cheaply and without junk (unlike many other sellers)) It doesn't matter what they're intentions are - they are trying to take a share of the economic benefit provided through the actions of others. Using this scenario as an example, one player killed the Ice Strykewyrm for a Staff of Light. Players out there are willing to pay a certain amount. By buying it from the slayer, and re-selling it, he is taking money that otherwise would belong to the slayer, or the buyer. What economic benefit has he provided in return? Absolutely nothing. Players should not make money from other players without providing some benefit in return, and as long as the Grand Exchange eradicates the need for a middleman, flipping items is as bad as manipulation in that sense. Also, as stated by the slayer in question, he could only cancel tasks for so many Staffs of Light. Now that it is no longer an option, the next buyer on his list won't be receiving the staff for quite a while...
  13. Actually Krampell could very easily get his "grubby hands" on it because he was the one who got it in the first place :wall: And I have never even attempted to buy one. and yes life does suck sometimes doesn't mean you can't let people know. *OT: I loled about making item on a money =)
  14. You bought a staff just so you could sell it for more money? Should let people who actually need/want to use one buy them. Thats why i sold it  If you were actually interested in letting people who need/want it to have one, you wouldn't have appointed yourself "middle-man" just so you could make a quick buck
  15. Yeah, it's been promised that smithing will have a large update in the near future. But for all we know it could be a new training method that causes prices to plummet. In regards to your question, I believe addy plates are the most commonly used high-level traning method. That and maybe bolt tips?
  16. You can't get assigned them unless you're wearing a cape... If you could, then I actually might agree with the whiners.
  17. Who wants to tell him that onyx rings have a street price of 100mil...
  18. Edit allows you to say that without it becoming a triple post OT: No I don't have 93 slayer. I probably won't even get it this year. But I cannot stand the idea of Jagex caving in once again on an update that was fine to start with. The ONLY compromise that would have an ounce of credability for me would be "Fake fire cape if you die to jad 30+ times". That way people would actually get off their [wagon] and give it a proper go. And hell, some of them might even get the cape.
  19. "If you are one a regular world, summoning levels are invisible in the overall combat. (example, your combat level is 90)" Is this true? I don't think so, because I've seen lvl 138s w/o anything summoned behind them. What he means is that you can't tell which combat levels come from summoning and which come from traditional combat skills. In a regular world, your summoning level will be included for working out your combat level. In a PVP world, it won't unless you're using or are in a possition to use summoning (eg:having a pouch)
  20. Keep keep trying. It took my 14 attempts and pretty much my entire runescape time was: Go empty MTK, go to GE to buy supplies, go to oogloog for boosts, go to fight caves, die at fight caves. Rage quit for the next 2 days. Rinse + repeat. You'll make it eventually. Oh, and I don't actually know how much onyx bolts heal for but even if they get you an extra 50 hp, it's not going to make much difference when he can hit 98's GOOD LUCK!
  21. Bumping old threads without adding anything new is frowned upon, just letting you know.
  22. Completely agree. I have 3.6k overloads from 90-99 summoning and I'm happy to have them cause I am constantly using them now. Completely agree. I have 3.6k overloads from 90-99 summoning Herblore and I'm happy to have them cause I am constantly using them now. Fixed it for you
  23. Recommended? 99 range, hp, def and prayer Can you reasonably expect to kill him with: 70 def, 70 range, 70 hp and about 60 prayer. The thing to remember is that there is a 99.99999999999999999999999999999% chance that you will no beat him on your first go. He take practice (and lots of it). Read the guides. Learn the waves. Know what you should be expecting and when to expect it (eg. Know that you'll have to pro mage after the 2 180's) The waves are easy, and with good enough equiptment can be done at pityfully low levels. I completed them the first time I tried them. It took me 14 attempts to kill jad. Use an sgs or an ee if you can, always bring the best invent possible ( for me this was 3 range pots, 200 diamond (e) an ee (can be substituted for an sgs or purp sweets) 5 sara brews and the rest sup restores) Good Luck!
  24. As far as I know, Grey chins are better than red chins (something like 3/4 the xp for 1/2 the price?) so unless you've got money to burn, go with grey ones.
  25. Lol, my bad. I did all the calculations on a scrap of paper just to see how much it would cost. When I was typing it out I must have written down the wrong starting number. Not that it really matters, the point of my post was the cost, which apparently was pretty much accurate =) Not an awful lot of people have a spare 125 (or actually much closer to 126) mil just sitting in their bank
