I know they used to be used for supercomposts but with the pineapple updates, I doubt that's still the case...
  2. nope :( how long does that quest take? Compared to getting levels by fishing lobster/swordies, the time is nothing. Can't remember tbh, think it took about 40 mins, but I did it when I was a lower level
  3. Your slayer level is only 67. You might as well train it through that so that you won't waste time training it later.
  4. This ^^ OT: In the grand scheme of things it won't make any realy difference. Yes it will be annoying but as soon as the counter gets to 1min, home tele and leave to get any xp you're owed so far. Don't see it as being that big a deal if you lose out on 20k xp once a week (assuming it hits you every single time). Though I did rage when the timer messed up a puzzle I'd spent ages doing on a clue
  5. if you're looking for xp though, it will be painfully slow doing anything other than fly fishing (assuming you're f2p)
  6. Lrn2... Enhanced Excalibur. You NEED this to avianse effectively. You're killing in the right spot (I hope you're only killing the 67 and the 71 (I think those are the levels)) Also, keep laws, airs and feathers (yes feathers. They drop between 1 and 7 feathers at a time. My personal average was 4. 4 feathers over 221 kills at 15 gp per feather = 13260 which is more than a ranarr). Tbh, if you're going to stay there for any real length of time don't bother picking up ranaars or if you must, try selling them for pure cash to someone who is leaving). If it's still around (and it might not because the author got a perm ban from tif ) read gorgoroth s guide on aviansie slaying. It's got EVERYTHING you need to know. Other guides are good, but that one was perfect =(
  7. Not strictly on topic but I'd just like to say that imo keeping the majority of your bank wealth in cash is a stupid idea. The value of cash over time only ever deteriorates. There's not much point in having 50m cash and a glory, you'd be better off with 40m cash and a fury. You should only use basic equipment until you can afford to use more advanced equipment. Having all that money in your bank won't help you with slayer, having better equipment will. I always have around 4m in my bank for my regular needs so that if I see I'm running low on something like monks/pots, I can stock up without it being a problem. Generally my cash amount will go up without too much effort due to regular MTK and clues. If my cash ever get's to around 8m+ I'll go out and spend it on either some particular equipment that I want (like recently I bought a FSH) or some levels (like pray). In short, unless you're saving up for a particular item or rare (which I don't really see the point in unless you're swimming in money anyway) stocking up on money while using inefficient equipment is just going to slow you down.
  8. Tbh I found Jad to be A LOT harder than nomad. But I suppose, for Jad if you do everything right, you're guaranteed to win, with Nomad you can do everything right and he can still hit multiple 300's for the KO and is therefore harder. But the absolute hardest boss in any video game ever has to be Absolute Virtue. Without a doubt. I don't even play FF XI but I do know how impossible it is to beat. Well, no-one has ever done it without using cheats. Some of the best attempts have taken clans of people 48 hours straight for it just to reheal itself to full hp without any mana cost.
  9. Firstly it's "laggy". Secondly, you haven't really asked a question... but I'm going to give the standard response of: Try playing on a different world Try playing with different settings Make sure there isn't an automatic virus scan running on your computer (same for automatic updates) Try rebooting your computer
  10. Well that's the thing, through my own testing I found them to be exactely the same, and I was wondering why you had found a difference?
  11. Marked in green. Hope this helped
  12. God i hope that doesn't mean this was the smithing update that was mentioned in several Q&A's lol. Also the firemaking beacons is what wilderness tag has become later on (i think i read this in one of the Q&a's as well ) I thought the smithing update was the smithing rebalance involving iron ore and your success rate smelting it? It'd be cool if there was something else, but I was under the impression that that was it. It bloody well better not have been! The whole point is that smithing is broken for high levels, who at a high level trains in iron!?! (rant not addressed at you)
  13. Do you mind me asking where you're getting this info from? Every source I've read says they're the same.
  14. If you actually want it, keep it. If you only bought it as an investment, it's pretty safe to assume that it'll rise forever, but as you're going to have to sell it at some point and you don't have enough cash to reach your goals, you might as well convert it into cash (assuming you have enough junk to get it's street price). Otherwise, from what I hear (I don't have either) herb > pray (at higher levels)

What morionic was saying is that, until the higher levels of fishing, you're much better off just getting the levels as fast as you can and then making money by some other method as this will take the shortest time. For example: 1: Spend 4 hours getting 50k xp per hour doing lobsters and getting 150k gp per hour = 200k xp and 600k gp in 4 hours 2: Spend 2 hours 100k xp per hour doing barb fly fishing and then 2 hours killing green drags for 650k gp per hour = 200k xp and 13000k gp in 4 hours. Numbers not accurate, but it's the right idea.
  16. Think it had something to do with trying to touch specific markers or flags or something. Thing is, no-one really knows as it was cancelled. EDIT: Just found this quote: "Wilderness Tag features a series of pillars dotted around the entire of the wilderness, with players being invited to tag them, similar to the way the Agility Arena works but without the timers. Players who successfully tag all the pillars (featuring various levels of difficulty) are rewarded with a generous helping of combat XP in the discipline they choose. Be careful, though, it is the Wilderness after all. " That was the original notice we got of it. Also, found this quote by Paul "I would consider the beacon lighting game you can play once you have completed the quest "All Fired Up" to be the evolution of Wilderness Tag. All the original Wilderness Tag really involved was running around the Wilderness lighting beacons!" I think some particles were released with a holiday event, may be wrong though... Also, they're coming with FTP3 and the updated Zanaris which, according to the twitter hints, is expected next week.
  17. Or they could stay the way they are and actually reward people with high skills...
  18. Sorry for double post, but do you mind me asking what your money making method is? Also, my advice would be to stick it all in pray, use the WGS reward to get it above 75, then use the BRD reward to get it to 78 (then the nomad reward to get it to 79!)
  19. Never Never Never Never Never Never Never EVER use xp lamps on dungeoneering. Dungeoneering rewards work on a token system, using xp lamps means you xp but no tokens. So don't do it. It's a waste. (I suppose if you were 100xp away from using a new floor then maybe it would possible be ok, but still, you'd be better off prestiging and starting from 1)
  20. Just found this quote. Seems it wraps up this topic nicely "Regarding desire for beta testing, this is something that the QA team supports fully and has voiced their interest in. Fingers crossed that this is something that both the QA team and players can have available in the future. " Source:http://www.runehq.net/RHQInn/index.php?/topic/384563-exclusive-dungeoneering-interview/
  21. Braces for herb training to become (even) more expensive due to high requirements.... Then to drop after new herb based minigame being introduced... Then to rise again when the minigame fails. Just my wild guess.
  22. Same rate but more kills due to the reflected damage. They are better because you get more for your prayer points once that is factored in. But iirc you don't get the xp for the reflected damage, just like poison. So if you're interested in xp and not moster drops, regular prayers are better.
  23. Because they don't want to lose their items.
  24. The argument is, that many people lag around the ge as it is and loads of people firemaking only makes in worse. Tbh, I don't even see why you would want to train firemaking there, there are many equally as good spots, made even better due to the lack of this kind of activity.
  25. Massive bump is... massive?
