All of the swear words are 'bad' because of what they once meant. The middle finger in America became bad because during some war, can't remember which, the Americans (I think, maybe not) would cut off the middle finger of their captured enemies. When they were then charging at the rest of the enemy, they would wave their middle finger at them as sort of mocking them. S.H.I.T. is an acronym used during the Columbian Exchange. It stood for Slaves Held In Transit. Basically, slaves were being shipped to America to work on the plantations. Then there's hell which derives from the Bible. A [bleep] is a female dog. (I don't know how this became a 'bad' word, whatever). A bastard is a child with no father. The N word, we all know... ------ Swear words became bad words because their original DEnotation was bad, thus it's CONnotation became bad as well.
  3. Hey, how are ya?! Glad to see you back. I'm itching to see what kinda sigs you'll create now that you've been practicing. Here's a cookie! *gives cookie* WOOHOO! :D
  4. Great shots! First pic: Nice job. Even though flowers are usually attributed to warm spring weather, this shot makes them look very cool. The brown and the white and then the dead leaf at the bottom. I really like this. I think it shows almost the rebirth of nature because the snow hasfinally melted away, and things are beginning to regrow. Okay, so maybe I'm crazy. Second pic: Again, nice job. I wish there was a bit more light from the top to distinguish between petals a little more, but I think it really gives the petals a nice soft look. Good sepia toned background. I can't place what the picture looks like, I mean with the color choices, but it may come to me soon. Nice job ^_^ Keep experimenting and keep posting pics. :D
  5. My friend made sandals out of duct tape. They were really comfy. He put like foamy stuff in the bottom for cushioning. Cool stuff. ^_^
  6. Haha, awesome. It's funt o doodle and it passes time. Nice little character you've got there. Try drawing him/her/it in different poses with different expressions. Even though it's a simple character, it will help to improve your drawing immensly (it's not bad, but that's what I do ^_^ ). Cool cool. :D
  7. Aw, man, you have no idea. The food there is amazing. It's not really fast food, but it's not really a sit down resturant either. But their burritos and tacos are...oh my goodness...yummy. They have a hotsauce bar with like 20 different kinds, ranging from sweet sauce, to mild, to SLAP MY [wagon] AND CALL ME SALLY. Very cool. I still haven't gotten the courage to try the hottest though. That would be murder. Ohh, here is a pic of the hotbar (from their website) and one of the murals at one of their locations. All of them have amazing paintings on the walls.
  8. Ahh, Thai has possibly the SPICIEST food evah. I went to a Thai resturant and ordered the "Lava Chicken"....AHAHAHA, I don't suggest it. I was in tears. But it was actually good. There is also a resturant about ten minutes from my house called Tijuana Flats. There are only like, eight or ten in the country, most of which are in Florida...there is one in Tennessee, Georgia, and Indiana (why Indiana?). Anyhow, I'm a Hoosier. Cut to the chase...they have the world's HOTTEST hot sauce and the world's hottest food additive. From the site: Price for 1.8 oz: $35 AND you must sign a waiver and be 18+ years of age ------------ Before you talk spicy, try this stuff in your food. Here is the hottest condiment as taken from their site. That's all.
  9. Wow, you got some lucky breaks...talk about being at the right place at the right time ^_^ Congratulations!
  10. That is sickening.
  11. Aha, I suppose so ^_^
  12. Yeah, Hoosiers. That's weird that it's not working for you, though?? Oh well...
  13. Ouch, that hurt ;) :D And, oops, didn't know there was a music board. I knew there was one on RV, but not here...my apologies.
  14. Thanks for comments everyone ^_^ Maybe when we get enough songs for a CD, you guys will be able to get one...perhaps...for the right price   :P
  15. Indy Funk Revolution presents THREE...yes, THREE new songs!!! These new songs are NOT produced on Garage Band, but played and recorded by yours truly and my neighbor. New songs include: -I Heart Victoria. Your secret is safe with me -Spiritual Bandaid -Lord, I Lift Your Name on High (tried to sing this church song...bah, I can't sing) CLICKIE
  16. How sweet would that be? Manning vs. Manning! ;)
  17. Ahh, can't beat the Trifecta- Edgerrin James, Marvin Harrison, Peyton Manning. Go Colts. I'm from Indianapolis, too. Been with 'em through the high and the low. ;)
  18. LOL!! Oh, I've done that before. And I've walked into a screen door.
  19. Actually, it happened a few weeks ago. I always keep a pencil behind my ear at school. I was doodling in my notebook, and went to put my mechanical pencil behind my ear. I had the point faced towards me, and as I went to put it behind my ear, I totally wasn't paying any attention at all, and stabbed myself in the right eye. I had a HUGE red dot on the white of my eyeball where all the blood had clotted (I don't know?). Needless to say, I've never done something quite that stupid in my life.
  20. Perhaps a portal that teleports you to the Mage Guild...it would make sense to me
  21. It appears to me that the blades have too few vertices. A few more will make them a bit more smooth areound the edges. You already know about the material...try making a custom skin perhaps? Nice job on the skin for the decorative part. I think it would look better with an atmosphere and rendered at a higher resolution, but I realize that that would take HOURS to render. Nice job, keep them coming ^_^
  22. I got some responses to my post on Runevillage (I made the post here that was locked ;) ) and among the possibilities were: -Something to do with the abyss? -Soul run crafting? -Extension of mage training? -Mage arena teleport? -New land? -PARTY HAT LAND? z0mg!!!1!!1111one!!!! - - - - - Anymore thoughts? I for one think there will be another extension on Merlin's Crystal quest.
  23. AHh, sooo good. For me, Williams Sonoma in the stock room. My mom likes working there during the holiday season because she gets a 40% discount (she has a main job though, she just does it for fun). So I decided, what the heck, and decided to work there. After the first like, three times of working, I had made close to $150, so I didn't think it was that bad. I mean, I'm only 16, and besides for my new acoustic bass, what do I need money for...okay, perhaps dates, but whatever. Anyhow, I'm probably going to intern at one of my dad's friends job. He is a 3D animator for Eli Lily. Very cool job. EDIT: SUNMAN my backyard is part of a 36 hole golf course, and I REALLY should do that. I was afraid that there would be too much training (even though I play a bit of golf...) so I didn't do it last summer. But my friend did it last summer and made about $1500 from June-Agust. Not bad...
  24. Ha, and your post count right now is 444...*irony* (sing-song voice from Family Guy movie). Actually, technically it will be 6-6-06, but whatever. I got the gist of it.

I HATE ALGEBRA II. I do all of my homework, I understand it, and study for tests. YET, I still have an F in the class. I studied SO hard for the Algebra II Final Exam, yet, I still got an F-68% on it. I don't understand how, while I'm doing all of the right things to prepare myself, some kids in the class who NEVER do their homework, NEVER pay attention in class, and NEVER study for tests, can come in and get a 94% on the Final Exam. I freaking give up. And it's not because I spend too much time on here...because I manage my time so that I get homework done and I don't get on when I have to study for a test. I just don't know what to do. This is my first ever F...well...quite frankly...my first ever semester grade that is below a B. People say, "Oh, it's not about the grades...just try your best and the grades will come." The problem is, I AM trying my best, but I am still failing math. The other classes I am perfectly fine in... I give up.
