I doubt they'd release a d plate. Imo, it's highly likely that either dragon boots, a dragon picaxe, or both will come out.

How the hell do you know any of that? It hasn't come out, and knowing Jagex (although they have improved drastically over the past few months), it could be another cool sounding, but utterly useless update. (shadow sword minigame, anyone?) Yes, this is a very real possibility.... Especially if the dungeon is in the wilderness, and the Godsword is a "rare drop." If those are the circumstances, I guarantee it will be worth over 100m and just take its place as another item that is useless because its insane rarity and price doesn't justify its stats, like the third age gear and dragon full helm.

Jagex would have to be fools to make a weapon more powerful than the whip that is the same speed as the whip. You can already hit up to 46 with the whip... Anything remotely stronger is TOO strong for the current 99 HP system that exists. I predict the Godsword will replace the anchor as the most universal two-handed weapon... It will probably be like a mini-dharoks without the handicap of needing low HP to hit really high,, capable of hitting in the high 50s or low 60s with max strength and prayer + pots, but the normal speed of a two-handed weapon.

The most annoying thing about RC pking is that many of the people are 1 itemers... They just run up to you, tb you and then dds spec you. If they don't spec you out, then they teleport. That's such cowardice. :roll:

They like to leave the players wondering. I just hope they release the stats and effects of whatever new items they bring out with the GWD in the Knowledge Base, and not try to pull another stunt like with the Third Age items... Creating hard-to-get items and not releasing the stats just encourages players to lie about the stats in order to gouge the price.

I don't get why anyone cares if another Achievement Diary is released. We know it will be Varrock, and because of that, it has a 99% chance of sucking. I can't even think of a hard level task, other than tacking on some ludicrous smithing requirement, and I sure as hell can't think of a decent reward.

Yay, now we're going to get a dungeon filled with lots of overpowered monsters, as well as a HUGE amount of lag from everyone downloading such a large update. :anxious:

What I do hope is that it's not ONLY a lvl 110+ dungeon, that there's stuff to do there lvl 80+ too. An update that big targeted at a minority of players only would be lame :( Actually that's precisely what it should be. Last time I checked, low - mid levels have had the majority of all updates, only the last 2 months have high levels actually benefitted from the updates, including the dark bow, d full helm, d fire shield and the Impetuous Impulses minigame, so you can't tell me that levels 3 - 110 aren't getting a fair deal i'm sorry. =; Indeed. See, that's the problem with the majority of RS. They want everything NOW. There are numerous things to do at the lower and mid levels.... But at the high levels, there is a scarce amount of new things to do. Therefore, it's the upper tier of players that should get the majority of updates. Make more stuff for players to work for that actually benefits you, instead of adding half-assed content that hardly benefits even the low levels. I call those sort of updates "Filler content." They are updates made just for the sake of updating. They have no real purpose nor do they impact the game at all.

Nice work with the Beyond Trollheim thing... It matches perfectly with the little cartoon animation.

But the neighbourhood kids call me names :( On-Topic I really hope it comes out tommorow, I'm expecting whip prices to fall heavily, as lets face it, theres going to be a new weapon coming out with it. I highly doubt the Godsword will replace the whip as the best all-around weapon in the game. It would be overpowered if it did. The whip can max at 46 with Piety, hitting with a 6 speed rating. Think if you could hit 50+ at that same speed.... PvP would become even more ridiculous than it already is. I believe the Godsword will be a very powerful TWO HANDED weapon, capable of inflicting around 60-65 with pots, max strength gear, Piety, and 99 strength. That's not bad, considering with Dharok's you need to get to the point where you risk being spec'd out to hit above 60.

Not true, we still have the examine and graphical update for the month. yea, and what is with the lack of quests? lol every complained about 2 quests a month now their is like none... i hope our next quest is godly. I, for one, am glad they have stopped churning out quests. I was sick to death of getting two rubbish "mail man" quests every month. I'd much rather have one challenging quest every other month than two "get X items for Y npcs and use your level 30 skills to kill a 'fierce' level 50 boss that can hit 5s" quests every month.

#-o Goddam miniclippers. Oh, I remembered one: Rune Longs were the most frequently used weapon, and people who could hit 20s with them were considered to be gods.

Bleh, it would appear as though they are skipping a week, as they sometimes do for large updates. It's inconvenient for me, because I start school next week. #-o Oh well, my first class isn't until 11, so I'll have a bit of time to read about and experience the update for myself before I have to go to class. :thumbsup:

Well I certainly hope you are wrong about Mod Nexus's post. I anticipate the release of several spiffy new items with the dungeon, so the combination of rare valuable drops and a wilderness-based dungeon will make the entire update utterly laughable. Think if the DKs were in the wilderness, that's about what I can picture the GWD being like if it is indeed in an area where players can kill each other.

I played CS:S today. Yesterday, rather last night, I did 10 barrows trips: 1: guth plate 2: junk 3: junk 4: junk 5: GUTHAN SPEAR 6: junk 7: v skirt + karil skirt 8: junk 9: junk 10: junk Not bad for just 10 runs. =P~
