Hey, I don't hoard food! :angry: I just don't leave it sitting there after everyone else passes over it. It's an issue that someone else raised a few pages ago-- people whine about not having any food for the boss, but they commonly leave piles of Salves rotting in GDs.

Yeah, how do people still die so much on Forger? Stand next to him and use Protect Melee if you don't have a Hex. Whenever you take more than 300 damage, safe up. I haven't been killed the last six or so Forgers I've had. Btw, epic floor time :thumbsup:

Was a good time, nonetheless :thumbsup: Regardless of how much it improves your time (and it does), DGing on Skype is just way more fun. Some of my best laughs of the day come from the Skype conversations while DGing. :thumbup:

Just a friendly reminder to everyone: You should ALWAYS have AT MINIMUM a t5 berserker ring, regardless if you only plan to DG to 80 or 85. t5 is 2665 tokens, which is 26k exp. That's nothing, and even a (imo pathetic) t5 ring will make you far more useful to every team you are on than just a t1. Honestly, everyone should have at least t7 (only 12.8k tokens cumulative) zerker, but I understand that some people are really stingy with tokens in the beginning. I get that some people are new to DGing and don't really know about the importance of rings, which is why I am posting this. This isn't to criticize anybody, just to remind you (if it applies to you). Your berserker ring level is almost as important as your weapon, really.

Assuming you're using a mud staff and you cast every spell you can, you'll use: 1160 astrals/hr 80 laws/hr 520 nats/hr At current ge prices, that's 240k gp/hr. But I know astrals have selling for way higher, and probably the other runes as well. A rough estimate with astrals = 200gp, nats = 175gp, and laws = 300gp is 347k/hr. YMMV Well, based on those estimates and some of the math others have done, it will cost about 37 hours to get Venge Group, so 12.8m gp. That's not even counting opportunity cost for the time you waste doing this, just the amount of GP you spend. Not [bleep]ing worth it.

Quick question. Is it possible to kill jad without the healers coming? I always fail on that part. Just chuck an x-range and use Deflects. You'll easily out-hit the healers, especially if you use diamond bolts and slayer helm.

Can you use Vengeance Group in DG without unlocking it first?

I have one of those things, and it's damn hard to do a real pull-up with them because the distance between the top of the doorfacing (where you hang it) and the ground is not enough for you to get full extension, at least with the way most doors are built these days. I'm pretty short at 5"4, and in order to get full arm extension, I have to bend my knees. I'd imagine that someone who is average height (6" or more) would not even be able to fully extend his arms even if he did bend his knees.

Venge Group won't help with Merc Rooms, since the only monster that matters is the Merc and you always use Protect Mage. However, it will help tremendously on Ramokees.

Even though I know Jagex won't do it, I am hoping for spells that allow you to actually function as a white mage. The current healing spells are completely worthless because transferring your own HP to someone else really isn't accomplishing anything. There are plenty of ways to balance legitimate healing spells--- a cool-down, big rune costs, require some special attack energy, etc.

No, really. Summoning is one of the most useful skills in the game. And if you're THAT ocd about your level, you should probably see a doctor about that to get some meds. Other than that, this seems to me like a slightly varied iteration of the "OMFG MAI DEFENSE IS LVL 3 NOW, RESET PLZ JAMFLEX" thread we used to see all the time when pures were the standard for PKing.

Look on the bright side, at least there wasn't a Ramokee followed by back-to-back Merc Leaders... That happened to me when I was with Nint a couple days ago, and we were only about 1/4 into the DG so it was one-wayed with little food and no altar. Thank [bleep]ing God that Jagex nerfed Mercs, or that probably would have been a floor we quit.

Don't listen to all these haters, especially anonytroll. It's unfortunate that you lost your hard-earned items, but hopefully you learned something from this and can be more careful in the future. Best thing to do is just move on and try to start making the money back. Maybe take a couple days off so that you don't do something stupid like going out and staking the rest of your bank away, but yeah, don't dwell on your mistake. I'm sure that almost everyone has gotten scammed at some point or other-- important thing is to learn from your mistake and not make it again.
