October 15th 2008 - PVP Worlds + Game Log In Improvements
They need to make a point system. Say the opponent loses full rune; you gain 180k points. In order to have a decent chance to get a good drop, you would need a quarter of the amount of points equivalent to the min GE price of that item. So to have a decent chance to get a DFH drop, you would need around 12m points. Of course, you could still get drops, but having high points would make them more likely. It's the only way to make it so that people can't farm kills.

I foresee a major nerf to the drop rates in the near future. With the current system, RWTs just bot their way to a level 120+ character, then people pay them like $5 for 10 kills or something, with both people going to a place like Lletya.

The New Spells
I doubt it can be used outside of PK worlds.

Yes, a friend of mine has a Divine Shield that he got from a drop in w6. But honestly, why change it? The shields are already worth an immense amount, why make them even harder to get? Now, they DEFINITELY need to up the drop rate for sigils.

Lol, the items need to last 3 hours or the prices are going to crash very quickly. 10m to "borrow" a weapon for an hour? No thanks!

Someone wanna donat money to member to me?
Seriously. Do you HONESTLY think someone will donate money to a complete stranger?

Behind The Scenes - October Edition
Unless Mod Timbo is a developer, what he says doesn't mean crap. I just Paul's words over anyone else's, as well, seeing as he is the HEAD of development. Further pointing towards bogus information is the fact that the updates in the BTS are have always previously been listed in chronological order. So that would break that trend if Halloween occurred before PvP worlds. We'll know tomorrow, anyhow.

Making Prayer Worthwhile
It could possibly work against PVP, but it should NOT work in PVM. Seriously, any monster hunting instantly becomes easy. Food, SGS, Unicorn\Buniyp and whatnot would all be far, far outdone by this prayer. Think of how fast damage can be dealt in PVM - this is literally giving guthan-like abilitys to every weapon in every combat style. It's overhead, meaning that you'll get slaughtered if you try to use it against any GWD boss. :?

AGS Sucks
AGS is a must-have weapon for doing LS/CS Bandos, and I foresee it being heavily used in the PK worlds. Other than that, SGS is superior.

Making Prayer Worthwhile
Um, to make your opponent less accurate?

Making Prayer Worthwhile
There is not much diversity in the Prayer skill, so I am suggesting a total revamp, which provides for much more diversity to fit ones playing style. First off, there would be a new book created. Players would begin on the Saradomian Book. To switch to the Zamorakian Book, you need to pray at the Chaos Altar in the deep western Wilderness. It requires 60 Prayer to switch books. To switch back to the Saradomian Book, you would pray at the altar in the upstairs floor of the Monestary. I also have ideas to make the Saradomian book more powerful. All new Prayers would be members only. The goal of this idea is to provide a good incentive for players to achieve past 70 prayer, as well as to balance out some of the flaws in the combat system, such as Magic being highly underpowered when compared to Melee and Ranged when used in combat. The current existing Prayers would be placed in the Saradomian Book. This is to maintain a sense of balance; The Saradomian Book is orientated towards defense, while the Zamorakian Book would be orientated towards offense. Zamorakian Book: Level 60: Anger: +15% strength, +5% attack, -5% defense* Level 65: Runic Knowledge: +5% magic damage* Level 70: Blind: -1 atk level for every 8 damage inflicted** Level 74: Fury: +25% strength, +7% attack, -10% defense* Level 78: Weaken: -1 defense level for every 8 damage inflicted** Level 82: Runic Wisdom: +10% magic damage* Level 85: Rage: +35% strength, +10% attack, -15% defense* Level 88: Decrepify: -1 strength level for every 8 damage inflicted** Level 90: Runic Mastery: +20% magic damage* Level 92: Blessed Aim: +20% ranged, -5% defense* Level 93: Avarice: Largely increased chances of rare drops Level 94: Soul Tap: opponent receives 1 damage for every 3 damage inflicted on you (overhead) Level 95: Bloodlust: +50% strength, -10% attack, -15% defense; sacrifice 1 HP for every 6 damage inflicted (overhead***) Level 97: Unholy Aura: All damage received is reduced by 30% (15% in PvP) (overhead) Level 98: Deathblow: Strike through the opponents Protection Prayers; 1 prayer point is sacrificed for every 3 damage inflicted Level 99: Reanimation: If HP is reduced to 0, you recover to 100% HP with all combat stats drained by 75%; drains all prayer points (overhead)**** *These Prayers cannot be used with each other **These Prayers cannot be used with each other ***Bloodlust can be combined with Unholy Aura or Reanimation ****You can only be reanimated once every 30 minutes New Saradomian Prayers: Level 75: Regeneration: Restore Hitpoints at 3x the normal rate Level 80: Fortitude: + 30% defense* Level 84: Precognition: +30% attack* Level 88: Brawn: +30% strength* Level 90: Divine Intervention: Protect two extra items on death Level 94: Fist of Saradomin: Drain enemys prayer by 1 pt for every 2 dmg inflicted (overhead) Level 96: Ray of Light: Restore one 1 hp for every 4 damage inflicted (overhead) Level 99: Holy Shield: All damage received is reduced by 50% (30% in PvP) (overhead) *These Prayers cannot be used with each other Drain Rates Level 60: Anger: One point every 4 seconds Level 65: Runic Knowledge: One point every 4 seconds Level 70: Blind: One point every 3.75 seconds Level 74: Fury: One point every 3 seconds Level 78: Weaken: One point every 3.75 seconds Level 82: Runic Wisdom: One point every 3 seconds Level 85: Rage: One point every 2 seconds Level 88: Decrepify: One point every 3.75 seconds Level 90: Runic Mastery: One point every 2 seconds Level 92: Blessed Aim: One point every 2.025 seconds Level 93: Avarice: One point every 0.75 seconds Level 94: Soul Tap: One point every 2.025 seconds Level 95: Bloodlust: One point every 2.75 seconds Level 97: Unholy Aura: One point every 1.62 seconds Level 98: Deathblow: One point every 1.5 seconds Level 99: Reanimation: One point every 3 seconds Level 75: Regeneration: One point every 12 seconds Level 80: Fortitude: One point every 2 seconds Level 84: Precognition: One point every 2 seconds Level 88: Brawn: One point every 2 seconds Level 90: Divine Intervention: One point every 9 seconds Level 94: Fist of Saradomin: One point every 1.62 seconds Level 96: Ray of Light: One point every 2 seconds Level 99: Holy Shield: One point every 1.5 seconds

Behind The Scenes - October Edition
I agree. Jagex has only made two or three decent minigames, and the rest are just garbage that people crowd for the first week to get the new items or whatever, then the minigame is totally abandoned. I see that RTS minigame being fairly well-received, though.

Behind The Scenes - October Edition
Okay, here's my two cents: First off, I think it's [cabbage] how they are trying to make it seem like they are listening to us by "releasing one big and one or two small." That's exactly what they've BEEN doing, except NOW, they are legitimizing it. Typical Jagex spin doctoring... Oh well, at least now we can know what to expect. :) Second, I am ecstatic about PvP Worlds... But... I don't see why all content from October onward is PvP based... They are giving the loudmouth minority a large chunk of content with the PvP World.... Shouldn't that be enough?

WARNING: Clan Wars
It's underhanded and unfair for them to change something that people are accustomed to (and there know what to expect) without warning them of it.

Informative threads don't inject an opinion in the information. By doing that, they become opinion threads, and thus subject the writer the criticism. Mmkay, I'll go edit the first post then. #-o

Corporeal Beast Debunked
Good points. My theories are just based off my own observations and data. They are just theories, but have proven to be true in my own experience. In the end, it's up to people to believe what they want.

WARNING: Clan Wars
Finally someone with some sense. I made this thread primarily to warn people, not to whine about "oh noes they broke it." I just happened to insert my opinion of the change in here and it started a huge controversy. :wall:

WARNING: Clan Wars
Dangerous FFA recreated the old feel of the Edgeville Wilderness.... Many people, including me, really liked that.
-
WARNING: Clan Wars
A lot of people went into Dangerous FFA wearing barrows armor or Bandos, knowing it was like Edgeville, in that you had a fair chance to loot your junk if you die. Now, that is no longer possible. It takes a lot of the fun out of it. It was still dangerous. People could just ice barrage you and kill you, blocking you from getting your stuff back. I would know, considering one of my friends was talking about how he had made people lose millions, totalling up to like 24-25m. Now its just completely dangerous. So the 1 iteming fest begins. This is gonna be pretty much EXACTLY like old BH in terms of gear. Rarely is anyone gonna do anything risky, knowing that they won't be able to get their stuff back. And rarely did anyone risk anything more than like 200k. It's basically gonna be duel arena free for all, and people will just rush each other to death. Thank god they put the trade limit in though cause people would have just xfered things like dragon arrows. I don't like it, though. It really does seem pretty pointless to me. Exactly. It was fine the way it was before...

WARNING: Clan Wars
That is the main point of this thread-- to let people know that it is NOT the same as it was.

WARNING: Clan Wars
Due to today's update, they removed gravestones from CLW entirely. Now, if you die in Dangerous FFA, anything you drop is lost forever. It's not a bug, either:

Corporeal Beast Debunked
Magic reduces the damage of the bolt-like attack. The [bleep]y Blast attack is his ranged attack... I think. :?
