Tip on brawling gloves....
The Ranged gloves would be incredibly powerful when chinning skellies. Being PKed is not a big issue, as you can just tele out as soon as you see a white dot on the minimap. With the way that the passageways snake, you'll have more than enough time to tele out before that person reaches you.

Correct. It's therefore more versatile than the VLS, but the VLS is still far more dangerous to come up against in PvP.

I realized I had entered some wrong info about the Javelin, so I fixed that. @Boat, the cost evens out due to the money most people spend getting those smithing levels. It's meant to reward the die-hard players who raised their smithing that high.

Nope... The weapons, even without specials, are very powerful. You can hit 50+ with the VLS without using specials, at slightly slower than whip speed. If they didn't degrade, it'd destroy several facets of the game. Boss Killing would become far easier, whips would become obsolete, combat 99s would become even less prestigious... Etc. Here was an idea I had for making the weapons more versatile: It would require a certain amount of money for each "level" of reinforcement (excluding the maximum reinforcement), along with a smithing level that could not be aided through assistance. You could only reinforce a specific piece of armor once every 2 days. Each stage of reinforcement would be tradable, so long as it hadn't be used. crude reinforcement- 50 smithing + 2000k: +1 hour low-quality reinforcement- 60 smithing +1500k: +2 hours flawed reinforcement- 70 smithing +1000k: +3 hours tarnished reinforcement- 80 smithing + 750k: +4 hours imperfect reinforcement- 90 smithing + 500k: +6 hours perfect reinforcement- 99 smithing + 250k: +8 hours

The timer only starts upon equipping it with the CORRUPT weapons. The normal weapons work identically to Barrows items, except that they last 1/16 of the time (Barrows lasts 16 hours, right? Or was it 15... You get the point, though) and cannot be repaired. I really saw no point in giving info on Zuriel's Staff, considering everything you want to know can be found in the KB. Also, the items are tradable as long as you do not use them. Once they have been used, they cannot be traded or repaired to make them able to be traded.

Info on new PvP weapons
Statius' Warhammer: Attacks at 4-speed (battle axe), is one handed, and the special uses 50%. With a rune defender, it has 141 crush attack and 119 strength. I am unsure if the defense lowering part of the special stacks. Vesta's Longsword: Attacks at 5-speed, is one handed, the special uses 25%. This weapon is far more powerful than ANY godsword. Its max hit is about 3-5 damage less than the GS and about 12 damage less than the AGS with its special attack, but the special is more accurate than the AGS spec and you get four of them. With a rune defender, it has 126 stab/140 slash and 123 strength. Though it hits less normally than the GS, it's more accurate (gasp) and strikes ~4 times for every three GS hits. Morrigan's Javelin: Attacks at 5-speed on rapid, is one-handed, and the special uses 50%. This is by far the most powerful ranged weapon in the game, as the special hits up to around 56 damage and then hits 5 damage at dart speed (1.2s/hit) until it doubles the damage dealt by the original special attack. So if you hit a 52 with the special, it will hit 5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-2 while you continue to attack. If you use both specs, the damage is combined... So if you hit a 56 with both specs (God help your opponent) you would do an additional 112 damage over the next 27.6 seconds. These Javelins can also be poisoned. With a Zamorak Book, it has 113 ranged attack. As you can see, all of these weapons provide serious competition against the fabled AGS in PvP. The VLS easily wins over the AGS, and the SWH is about even. I disagree with the 1 hour limit on all of the armor, but the weapons DEFINITELY need it. Just as a note, the MJ special can only be used on other players. I am unsure about the other two specs. The ranged weapons do not degrade, as they are thrown and sometimes break. The other weapons degrade after one hour in combat, regardless of if it is a PvP world or not. Oh, and Corrupt Weapons do not have special attacks and last fifteen minutes starting from the moment you equip them.

There's a Vid of the VLS vs an AGS... The VLS can hit up to around 53-55 max normally and around 63-66 max with it's special, which uses ONLY 25% of the bar. Couple that with it being one-handed and 5-speed and it far outclasses the AGS in every way. This is one of the few new items that I agree with having the one-hour limit on. Oh, and the Morrigan's Javelin is absolute ownage in PvP. It can hit over 50 normally and can hit over 60 with its special attack. They have an immense ranged bonus, much higher than anything else, are one-handed, and are thrown at 5-speed on rapid. Oh, and they can be poisoned. It's my opinion that these should be irretrievable when thrown, to balance out their power.

Here are some facts on PvP Drops...
They also need to return TB to f2p. It's horribly difficult to kill anybody in F2p because of crappy weapons, no specials, and the ability to teleport anywhere.

The New Spells
It is my opinion that they need to add the ability to repair based on non-assistable smithing level. At a higher smithing level, the cost is less and you can repair it for longer. Either that or make the items not degrade at all on PvP worlds and double the time which they last on non-PvP worlds.

Once the Vesta Longsword drops in price, I see it being used quite often at the CB. It has longsword speed, an immense stab bonus, an immense strength bonus, and is one-handed.

Corrupt Weapons (78 Attack Ones)
My bad, I was trying to uses an example to say why corrupted version is not better. I'm more of a supporter of using the non-corrupted version. I've only tried the non-corrupted version, didn't bother to try the corrupted version. Anyway I think people would use those weapons for their specials not for normal training. Yeah... I plan to buy a staff once they drop a few mil. I don't think any of these items are worth more than 4m, because of their limited longevity.

Ya but with the money I spend on that 1 staff for 60 minutes of combat I could buy 21 corrupted for 5.25 hours of combat. The corrupted are a better bang for your buck any way you put it. It depend on cirumstances, you can't really presume that every single minutes of using those 21 corrupted staffs that you are doing dmg without any lapse in-between. Also, I use my staff to spam the occassional misamic barrage and switch to master wand to do ice barrage, it really depends on how you are going to attack. Even for let says the weapon, if you are using them just for the special: Special Energy recovers from 0% to 100%= 5 min One corrupted weapon= 15 min = 3 specials 21 corrupted weapons= 3 * 21= 63 specials One weapon= 60 min of combat It took the most 5 secs to use a special and switch back. Amount of uses of special per non-corrupted weapon= 720 Even if you take 10 secs to do a special you can still do 360 special with your weapon, which is alot more than the corrupted weapons. Corrupt Weapons lack a special attack. :?

PVP: To pray or not to pray
QFT. The only time I see praying as acceptable is when someone pulls out an AGS. Use Protect Melee when he specs then turn it off. Is a bit of honor worth eating a cheap-[wagon] 70 KO hit?

I have heard that the corrupt versions lack special attacks. Also, RS Wiki says that you can use the items on non-PvP worlds. Anyone who has one care to test it out?

PvP RELEASED - Relive the good old days!
The Wilderness in PvP worlds is MUCH more dangerous than it used to be. The level ranges are significantly more broad than in the old wilderness, so level 50s can easily get WTFPWNED by level 130s near MB.

My take on the PKing Update:
Some people do 10s of millions because they are lucky. Two of my friends have gotten pieces of new armor which sold for 8.4m. You got a DFS. Two people I've seen got DFHes. Luck is all it is. But the fact remains that people are just farming the drop system, which is not how it was meant to operate. It's all reward with little risk. I've seen three staves. Three in one day isn't that bad. Look at how quickly the Arcane shield became price-locked. It was originally quite expensive and now it's locked at limit-down, because even with the absurdly low drop rate, enough people do it each day for too many to enter the game to be balanced by people who can afford/have the desire to buy one. I doubt anybody will pay 10m for one of these staves. I see the price settling at around 2m.

My take on the PKing Update:
I did it tonight with other friends, with both of us having 75k cash in our invs. I made about a 400k profit after two hours. Some people can make tens of millions. Also, I guarantee that if they don't adjust the decay rate on the staves, the price will go through the floor. As you said, no one will want to use one if they get it, so they'll immediately put it up for sale. After enough do this, the market becomes saturated and people start selling for min.

My take on the PKing Update:
Okay, for the most part, I love this update. However, there are a few major loopholes in it: 1) It's soooo easy to lure people. I don't really know how to fix it, either. 2) People are taking turns killing each other for massive profits. This will destroy the economy and will also enable RWTs to make huge profits. To fix this, simply make it where you can only obtain loot from killing a character on a specific IP address once every fifteen minutes or four times an hour. It has to be based off IP addresses or else RWTs could just switch accounts. Having it based off IPs makes it much more difficult for them to circumvent. 3) Miasma spells are overpowered. For over half a minute, Miasma Barrage halves your attack speed, effectively halving your damage output. Against melee, this is fair, but against rangers, this is devastating and unbalanced. Would a dark bow even attack at all with this? Solution: make it only affect Melee or make it affect Ranged for 1/4 of the time it affects Melee.

Those spells are really overpowered. Magic shouldn't beat ranged, but now, it can easily do so. These spells should only affect Melee.
