Hit the nail on the head. Whenever a topic comes up that I want to talk about, it gets moved to a sticky or locked. It severely limits what you can talk about in this forum. Look at the topics we have on the front page; none of them, at least to me, are really good discussions that havn't been touched on a thousand times before (including my own). Also, it limits the flow of posts. With less topics, there are less posts, and reading this forum has turned into seeing the same posts you have viewed over and over. Honestly, the questionaires thing should be removed. Everything that's moderately fun gets moved there, and NOBODY is on that sub-forum.

Miniclip brought in alot of immature players and it in f2p the immature players stayed. No disprespect to the intellectual p2ping miniclipers and the intellectual f2pers miniclipers but I do believe that miniclip is responsible for alot of the idiots now seen in runescape. No, I agree with him. If we removed f2p, the server upkeep money would go directly to P2P updates, and we would have a better game. Runescape f2p is just... ugh. There is NOTHING redeeming about it. So you honestly believe that all those levels that people have gotten in f2p are worthless? It is just a game.. people do it to enjoy it, if there was no f2p there would be no p2p as people would not get a preview to go onto the p2p aspect of the game. No, but I think they should pay for it. 5$ isn't a lot.

Well, of course. This has been the outcome of multiple "RS is healthy for you" topics, and is an evident truth. I was more refferring to how MMOs attract no-lifers, and what it does to them. Obviously, the majority of players don't no-life. I'm talking about MMOs in general, and how they affect the normal person's life. And even if you don't "no-life", take into account your total exp. Now realize how many hours you MUST have spent leveling up your character.

First off, this is not entirely my belief. I'm simply pointing at others'. Don't start flame, please. It seems that in today's society, Runescape is looked down upon the most in terms of MMOs. WoW obviously beats us, and the FF one is rated much higher than our game. However, one general "rule" about all of these games has held true, from the beginning of creation. It has been said that MMOs have held nerds, geeks, and overall hermits away from otherwise normal society, possibly making them more social and pointing them in the right direction for a more social lifestyle. With the ability to only see your players' avatar (for us, a guy in shiny blue armor), everyone is socially equal. You can be a different persona entirely that your real life persona, and continue a "new life" from the HUD of a computer screen. Personally, I find this to be a bit unhealthy. I hold a job at Target, go to college, and barely have time to mine for fish or flip a giant mudcrab for massive damage. This game takes time away from making money and friends, and puts it into a world that is almost as unfair as the life you lead away from the computer screen. Of course, everything in moderation. I'm not saying that someone playing Runescape once will have a hard time finding a wife... but someone who spends over 900 hours leveling "Kingsmash70" or "Hardman01" usually has a hard life outside of their domain. I am in a stable relationship, hold up a job, go to school, and still have time to fart around on the internet. What are your thoughts?

Seriously OP, if you don't have anything to say that adds to the conversation, don't say it. You're spamming your own topic, and it's annoying. For me... So many options. Gold is not the most important, we could use a number of things for currency. And I don't think the pickaxe is the most important. We'd be able to buy most of the rune items anyways. The knife? Possibly. But without a knife there would be no fletching, and you would just buy the bows out of the store. Which, imo, is a better deal because the bows in ruenscape are completely underpriced. Crafting and fletching have made the ranger almost useless to kill in the wilderness, and this was only changed recently with the dark bow. The harpoon. Well, actually, I think this might be an improvement. If there were no sharks, I doubt 'safe eating" would even be a term, because you could KO people using other means. Nullifying this would also make the trawler completely useful, something that has been NEEDED to be done. The whip. No. Even though it is amazing, there are many more things to be recognized. The alchemy rune? Possibly. The "hold" spells would be useless, and the alchemy spell would collapse the economy into the ore n' fish market it was in RS1. Good or bad, this would severely cripple the economy we have now. So, all of these aside... I pick either the air rune or the mind rune. Can you guess why? :D

Goofy Been years since I heard that word :XD: Rofl. Me too. Well it seems to me that shy people like me and the others are less shy in rs, and the more outgoing people are the same in both. And as for the goofy... edit: And of course there are exceptions! I'm one of those. I'm a really social person, and on rs I'm always doing my own thing and recieving no PMs. I guess I should be glad about that :)

And what happens if someone logs in that hasn't in 4 years or so with 30+ crackers? You basically would have to buy all 30 of them from him... 12B? You could never be sure about having the last one anyways, even if you continued this. And every time you hiked the price, more would trickle in, and if you didn't buy them, the entire plan is failed. There is no reasoning behind high alching them. You accomplish the same thing by hoarding them. And the OP is too defensive about his ideas. He's resulted in childish insults to people that simply say, rightly, that this would never work and putting hypothetical "what if"s on the board is against the rules. In fact, nobody has said that. So I'm going to go report this topic... Rememner the time when this board was flooded with "What If"s?
