The octopus-ter stays :shame: , but thanks for your honesty, the ground does look odd compared to the rest there.. I'll try fix that for the collab, but mix of styles and ideas is exactly what we want, we can't simply mimic one person's style on the grid otherwise there may as well been only 2-3 people working on it.. Its a forum collab, go crazy. :XD:

not everyone does pixel art eckered. very nice actually Jack, your cartoons are very well created, they have a lot of style and originality. I'd love to see your work CG'd, it'd add so much more to them.

Im back in college atm plus I've taken on two other projects as well as this.. I will work on it but keeping it bumped won't make me jump into action. :notalk: . As my comic is updated I'll have a go at starting on the front girl when I get the time, but nothing in the next day or so.

Update : I've not been captured afterall, just tossed off the cliff of spam where those who spam the forums are doomed to wonder the pit below. =D> awesome idea I know.. but these rejects have a cunning plan.. yeaahh, look ill do another one. (took like 5 seconds) (finished 2mins and 6 seconds after starting) it's just cleaning up a 5 second sketch.. I just try not go back to something I've already pixeled.. usually you'd keep tweaking your linework.. oh and plus it's only 80x80, its not hard making something quick in such a small canvas. : on topic : It was a contest?? :-s , oh must of forgot. :uhh:

I know I've already got 2 threads on the go but, really this is the 2nd one to do with my work. :notalk: Im trying to get the hang of just spontaniously drawing things around me, whether im in the mood or not.. people tend to only draw something with the intentions of it being better than their last drawing, but I find the more you work the quicker you do get better, whether half your drawing are rubbish or not.. These were drawn very quickly, as in I only spent tops, 10 minutes on each drawing.. I drew my mom while she was watching tv, not a flattering pose but it does look like her. Just used a black biro on a rough piece of paper. If she looks old it's cus she's 48. Not a great drawin but wtever.. I'd feel better posting worst and best work, cus no one's perfect. http://img506.imageshack.us/img506/3318/momtj5.png I don't have many interesting objects in my house, so I bundled together some stuff from the beach, a shell, a stone and a some driftwood.. Didn't finish but wtever :-k , they were really tiny and I drew em pretty big just using a 2B pencil. http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/1544/seastufftn7.png Here I couldn't get to sleep, it was like 4am so I just sketched and built up this drawing of a diet coke can, the proportions are terrible and it's very rough/sketchy in places but I do think it has a good atmosphere.. It looks like it was maybe done in the late hours of the night.. I don't think a rating would help, can I interest you in a comment? It's very simple, doesn't look like something you'd have to had scanned in, looks like it'd be very easily done just in paint in a matter of 30 seconds. Without a face it's.. nothing much, it's just common manga hair with what looks like there would be a high pointy ear. keep working on this though, its a shame to leave something incomplete.

wow im really tired, i'll do what I can with linework atm but I've just got back from first day of college. I've got a headache but I'll work through the pain :wall: lol I wouldn't want to rush it, otherwise the quality will be ruined just for a quick post. it doesn't take long to make but it's hard coming up with a suitable plot, and keeping with the same style and flow throughout each frame.. I'll post just the linework to keep you happy. Or if im getting too wrecked Just it's progress, cus I tend to work on a frame at a time.

I gotta say, don't just use the same colours as me, it's not restricted like that, be as free as you want, just if someone has grass somewhere try use the same colour green otherwise as a whole it'll be awkward on the eyes. I don't think that your piece would work well enough Eckered, if Quer_Skulll does decide to go on with that top spot he'll have to try make his part work with yours, unless you work on it it may not be added to final piece. (progress so far, those missing are either unfit or not their spaces) those who know a bit more about pixel art, may have noticed slight colour changes when working.. with PNG's, colour keeps about 95% of the time.. so throughout this it may fade slightly (since there are many people, on different computers, in many various countries working on the same file I am expecting some fading colours, but I'll try my best to keep it looking great. But do keep it in PNG.

aw I shed a tear :cry: .. very nice anime work, colour choices work well together and there wasn't and need for any dithering, not adding any doesn't mean your lazy. :shame:

If my colours end up too bright compared to everyone else I'll just edit it later, don't change your work too drastically if you don't need to. :wink: ohh im so exited :XD: can't wait for more additions.
