Fail the test. Would you rather go to Hell or simply cease to exist when you die?
  4. Socialism/communism doesn't automatically mean totalitarian rule, but capitalism automatically means democracy?
  5. That was actually a very well-written and intelligent rant.
  6. A democracy cannot have a government-controlled, "fair" economy. Democracy must be paired with capitalism. Who says?
  7. Well, if I write something non-runescape related I'll probably submit it. I'm thinking of writing a horror novel...
  8. It says in the Bible: societies should be like-minded.
  9. Do you know anything about the modern world? The US isn't invincible.
  10. Your comparing total war to a mission/operation. You cant do that. For example, the only reason America is struggling in Iraq is because its a concrete jungle. Anyone in any house can be an insurgent. Anyone can also be an innocent civilian. America could just bomb the hell out of that place, unfortunately thats morally wrong and also defeats the purpose of the operation. You said it yourself, 'flush out'; its quite alot harder than you think. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the war, I think its just about as ridiculous as nam. Plus, in Iraq and Afganistan, America isn't fighting an enemy, it's fighting an ideal, so the most America will ever be able to accomplish is suppression. However, in total war [ie], Iraq or Afganistan wouldnt stand a chance. If America ever went to full scale total war with china or russia, I dont think it would be afraid to bomb/nuke and mabye even experiment with new weapons [mabye of the biological sort?]. The Chinese and russians also have the same biological, nuclear, and atomic weapons as us. But the chinese and russians can mobolize massive armies... so I'm not too sure how that would turn out. American soldiers are much better trained and technologically superior. Its been seen in iraq, small squadrons taking out insurgents who outnumber them greatly. Like what I said earlier, there's a big difference between insurgents and trained soldiers. The Russian and Chinese soldiers will probably be equally matched with US soldiers in combat. If there is a war, there will be very few ground troops; most of them will be in armoured vehicles.
  11. It means that we should be like-minded and care for and support each other. The preacher at the Christian camp I went to agrees with you, Love Actually.
  12. The EU will be on our side. Don't worry. Oh, and that 1:20 kill ratio for U.S. soldiers? That's like against insurgents in Iraq. Against the Russian and Chinese Armies, the kill ratio will be much lower.
  13. I'm also curious as to what happened.
  14. Yes, there normally is a rational explanation: ghosts did it. Whoever said that ghosts weren't rational?
  15. My second favorite author is Eoin Colfer. I'm surprised noone has mentioned him yet.
  16. Your friend would pick up the phone a year later...
  17. A watch that measures time by the vibration of atoms.
  18. Time travel is absolutely, undeniably impossible. Period.
  19. Oh, I get it now. He wouldn't actually be going back in time, but it would appear like it.
  20. I wouldn't dismiss it that fast. People used to say it wasn't possible to travel to the moon, but we did it. I think that even if they had actually managed to make something go faster than the speed of light, it would still be pretty impractical as far as travel. And Eintein's theory of relativity is just that, a theory. That doesn't make it true. I meant going back in time.
  21. I know that. But what that said was that the astronaut would be literally traveling back in time, which is impossible.
  22. I'm a bit of a junkie on physics, but all that I have learned is from the Science Channel so it's pretty limited. I do know that it's supposed to be impossible to do this though. They say it traveled instantaneously, but I want to know how they would have known it traveled faster. I don't think they could have used a high speed camera, because as far as I know it still wouldn't measure fast enough. Anyways, what do you guys think about this? That's not possible.
  23. I never said that I didn't consider the possibility. I said that I highly doubted it. There's a difference. The evidence you provided was convincing, but not enough to get me to believe that the U.S. Government deliberately killed thousands of people.
