Sorry, but i think that this is a little to complicated. I think i'd rather see a different update too, this one doesnt seem very important to me. And, scammers could sell a low weapon, and say its a high one (you'd have to work that out, like maybe in the trade window you can veiw the stats of the weapon). :|

merchants everywhere are going to want you dead now..... :anxious: In my opinion, it kinda ruins the point of a party hat if you do that.Party hats are usually a symbol of richness, and if they can suddenly be bought infinantly at a store, it just ruins it......

Sorry, but i dont see this happening...... What if someone just looked like an autoer, and they had their private chat on or something? Then they wouldn't be able to do anything, unfairly. And, watch out, alot of players will tell you that this could be abused. It could stop a few bots here and there, but its a big risk, accidentaly making players unable to do anything. Needs alot of work before it could be considered being used. :-k Good luck.

:-k The skills part is a little complicated though, might want to forget about that...... i guess i support though, it could be useful and make selling and buying stuff easier, or it could not. I guess i'll never know, unless jagex decides to use your idea. I'd rather have something alot more important (more F2P bankspace, a miracle way to stop bots, etc.), but it could be cool. Good Luck!

Ah......, that would have to be my rl and RS friend Zamzul (his runescape name). We used to do all of the quests together....... then he got a new videogame. I havent seen him on runescape for months, im now 4 times his level, and i started after him.... Brings back alot of memories..... :) , like the time he trapped me in the basement of draynor manor when i was but a wee noob..... (he asked me for help on the lever puzzle, so i came, and he logged out. Since i was a noob, i had no idea how to get out of draynor manor, and i forgot about the lumbridge teleport. The next day i saw him in real life, i got so angry at him...... :lol: ) Oh, and ive got a few other rl friends who play runescape, but i always forget how to spell their names, soooo youuu'llll nevvveeeeerrrrrr kkknnnoowwwww!!!!!!! =P~

I tried it, it didn't work, and someone just took my raw lobster........ :cry: just kidding...... Oh, and i did get the mime once when i stood in the same place for like 30 minutes in varrock, trying to sell somethin in a bank :-k

Most bots actually have higher woodcutting levels since they don't train any other skills. It's very common to see bots with 85+ wcing at f2p yews. Ok, i was standing in a bank saying sellin rune ess. Soon enough, i got into this system or something, where i could type that one line super fast. so then, someone shouts out: King is auto typing! report him!!! I was like: no im not, and then he was like: oh, sorry..... :lol:

:D Wise old man, because first of all, hes rich, and id love to have his stuff. Also, hes a bank robber, and if i killed him, the bank would probably give me like, a reward or something. And, ive always wondered why they have all that stuff about him (security footage, people talkin about him, etc.), but you cant do anything about it. I wish it was a quest, as far as i know, it isnt already....

:ohnoes: I just ran into a TALKING bot! It was really creepy! I reported it for macroing, and advertising, because it was advertising for a site. It just dissapeared, and then came back. It keep saying over and over again: selling gp and stuff on (website) .net ...!!! and then it would say: selling gp and stuff on (website) .net ....!!!~~~~, and then it would say in red: selling gp and stuff on (website) .net ...!!! :ohnoes: Think about this! macroers could program their bots to just say hello or this is boring.... randomly!!! then bots would be further disguised!!! this is bad :wall: Oh, and it stayed in the same spot the whole time. If i was a REAL person with a BRAIN, and LUNGS, and a HEART, i would have torn my eyes out in 10 minutes!

had one last night, it's funny that i saw this post today... big coincidence. Ok, i went in wilderness, and got killed like the first step i took! :ohnoes: (no, im not a noob) So, since i lost all my money, i wore my frog stuff, and instantly got killed in that tooo! :evil: Finnaly, i just gave up, but then i got attacked again by a pker, and i wasnt in wild! I tried to log out, but it didnt work. I was just like: oh crap. I woke up this morning all mad, because i thought that it actually happened. After like 15 minutes of thinking, i realkized that it was just a dream. #-o

It depends on the videogaming market at the time...... I could use some new games for my Wii (gladly beat Legend of Zelda, Twilight Princess, overplayed all my other games). Whats left over, would go in my bank account, like it usually does. You laugh now, but when i go to with draw like 5,000$ and they pull out 47,000$, i'll have made so much money, my skin will turn green! :mrgreen:

I think you should have to pay to get them back though, because you earned them before, and you should have to earn them back again (it's killing me to say this though, because i wouldn't want to pay to get my stuff back...). Maybe, the item could just be left on the ground where you dropped it, and no other players can pick it up. So, you only have to find the item again without worrying about people taking it/ it dissapearing......... :-k Oh, and thats a very horrible tale you have, wiltingplant.... at least you got your event stuff back.

This is all i can think of at the moment: Bot moderators A special team of moderators that goes around bot hotspots (hey it rhymes!) and are trained to recognize bots. New Random Event I know this idea has been played with before, but maybe, a random event could require bots to type in something..... (you computer people would have to think about if this would work :-k ) Hope this inspires someone to think of something good![/u]

Hello everyone! This is a good idea to slow the proggress of bots, but we need to find permanent solutions. Under the bugs and suggestions guide, you can read Anti Bot convention, where im trying to get people to post ideas about stopping bots, and work on some good ones that have a chance. We all have to work together to end this!!!! :thumbsup:

Ok, that doesn't sound bad, except that that would be alot of work for jagex....... thanks for the idea though, maybe someone else can think of a way to improve this a little! =D>

Anyone who is smart, good with computers, or good at thinking of ideas, listen up please! I created this post so that anyone who wishes to help stop those annoying bots can! I'm tired of them, and i'm always trying to find a way to stop them, but i think that if we want a solution, we all have to work together. ANYONE who wishes to suggest an idea is welcome to. Hopefully, we can find a good idea, and work on it to make it work. Please don't make fun of someone's idea, if you think it wont work, just kindely state whats wrong with it. Let's end this plague, and take back runescape! :thumbsup: Anyone who already has a post on this, feel free to link it to here. With enough cooperation, we could end this. Remember:All ideas are welcome!!!!! I know alot of people have thought about it before, but maybe someone could think of a good idea, but couldn't finish it.
